This dessert was so good. It is a must get when you visit. The restaurant does have good views out the window well dining.

Customer Service Training would help tremendously. My work actually hosts training and we held a training event next door at the Ted Ferry Center. Some staff were pretty rude to the folks in our group. I reserved a certain Type of room from our room block and the guy at the front rudely dismissed my request to move. We had packages delivered for our event at the civic center and i twice inquired at the front desk only to be told they didn't have them. The boxes included items to be used at our event. When my co-worker showed me the confirmation email that they arrived a day before us, we went back. But were told again that there were no boxes in the back and the staff refused to go back to look. We hailed a guy (worked in the restaurant) and asked if he could look. He did and the boxes were back there. The room was ok but house keeping didn't clean my room because I had "personal items" on my bed. A couple days into the trip. I felt a bite on my leg in in the middle Of the night. By the time i check out (5 days) I had a number of bites. Not to mention, I only got hot water for about 1/2 my stay. The van driver was awesome, restaurant staff, as was Melissa at the gift shop. The hotel was nice but could improve a lot if the staff was trained and address the possible Bed Bug problem.

This is our nicer dinner night out in Ketchikan & we always enjoy dinner at this lodge. We were so hungry this night that I didn't get any good pictures of the food before we devoured it. We started with the coconut halibut appetizers bites in panko amg coconut flakes with a sweet chili sauce. Our table had the seafood chowder, shrimp scampi primavera, the silver medal salmon dish and halibut Olympia. The fish was as fresh as it gets, moist and had delicious sauces and sides. It was a bit rainy this day (our only rain of the trip) but there were still great views and we got in easily with calling a few hours ahead. Can't wait to visit again next year!

Been coming to Cape Fox Lodge for over five years, and the Heen Kahidi restaurant has never been better. Whatever changed since last year was perfect. The food was hands down the best we've ever had here. The breakfast, especially the biscuits and gravy, was amazing. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Restaurant The view is great, up and overlooking the ocean ( bit of a hike to get up there, but worth it ). Cody was our server and he was attentive and efficient. It was lunch, so we skipped the steak ( they have an in house dry age program). The Gruyere Halibut on fries was incredible and the crab cakes had large chunks of Crab.

In front lobby, my bear buddy.

This was our fourth time eating at Cape Fox with local family. The service is excellent, and the food is good - a little pricier than other places due to its location and reputation. There is plenty of parking, and the exterior is just as beautiful as the interior. I loved the bear in the lobby! On July 28, 2023, it was just the four of us. In the past we've been a big group with nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. On this day I had the Ketchikan Crab Dream. It was very good, and actually too much food for me. I wish I could have taken it home, but on this trip we were on a cruise. Our cousins and Husband had the fish and chips, which they enjoyed. It is usually quiet, but on this day, construction was ongoing. That's the reason for the four stars. When construction is going on during a meal, it is wise to seat your patrons away from the work - not next to it. We'll be back to visit family, and I'm sure we'll return to Cape Fox. I look forward to trying more menu items, and seeing the outcome of the construction

I think this place probably works best as a hotel. And, had we stayed here, maybe this review would be higher? It's got that vibe of a fancy Disney hotel except that it's local and not fake-plastic. The views are great, it's kind of an all-in-one compound. The food was...alright. It was good, but it didn't blow us away. I got a BBQ plate, and I liked it. We sat at the bar, service was OK. Beer selection was OK. Everything was A-OK, but not mind-blowing.

Chicken piccata omg so tender and the sauce wow butter noodles with asparagus. 10

My husband and I are avid oyster lovers and when I saw this as an excursion choice I knew we had to go! Pick-up from the dock was easy and since we were the first tour, it was just us and one other person! Everyone from our driver, the capt, and staff at Hump Island were so welcoming, friendly, and informative about the area. With our group being so small, it felt more intimate and enjoyable. Our boat ride was great to and from Hump Island because our captain made sure to show us around and we were able to catch glimpses of bald eagles and whales! Once we arrived to Hump Island Oyster Co we were greeted and given such detail about the process at the farm. Our kids got to enjoy their touch tank and even spotted some jellyfish! Once upstairs, we enjoyed raw and charbroiled oysters along with some amazing salsas and sauces. The whole experience reminded my husband and I of that of wine tasting, but with oysters. Conversation flowed and the laid back atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable. It was magical being in this part of Alaska and enjoying fresh oysters shucked right in front of us and grown right there. Thank you, Hump Island Oyster Co! We look forward to making our way back in the future and can't recommend this tour enough to others on cruises or visiting Ketchikan!

The distillery tour, which is the focus of this updated review, was 2.5 hours long and was an absolute pleasure to attend. Travis, one of the two co-owners, did a great job of mixing in the historical aspects of his distillery, with the science of how the distilling process works while mixing in his own down home humor to make for an excellent excursion. As part of this tour you get to taste all the products Uncharted make, which includes numerous Gin, Vodka, Agave and whiskey products while Travis is giving his presentation. Upon completion of his presentation we went upstairs to the "lab" to make our own personalized bottle of liquor where I ended up making an orange colander Agave. Such fun! If you have any interest in the distilling process and have ever wondered how liquor is made you should definitely give this excursion some strong consideration as you will not be disappointed. As Travis added so much to this experience, I would strongly suggest you try to coordinate the tour when he is available. Definitely worth the price of admission (:

The athletes are real lumberjacks and possess the strength and skills required by that trade. They demonstrate a half-dozen skills that for most people would be difficult and dangerous.
