There is no fishing here. the market store tries to sell spoiled fish. if u have an Rv taller than 9 ft forget it. The trees do not accommodate beyond 9', be prepared to climb on the roof of your rig to cut their trees to prevent your rig over 9' from being opened like a can opener. Restaurants in the area, prepare for food poisoning and complete lack of even wiping off a table. This town hates tourist. Absolutely no follow through on Rv park rules. If you are tent camping go for it. No internet. Pool is filthy. Fees to use the "putting green". My rig sustained 4k in damage due to their neglect of the site. Power surges to the point of no power. likely due to permitting EV autos from charging though the sign says prohibited. Employees and long stay are the exception. Random sites assigned. Personal and. maintenance could care less if you cannot drive through the park without a tree climbing breaking and falling on your rig. I will give them a positive with each concern they do reply with , " oh we did not know and will pass the information on." NEVER STAY HERE IF You PREFER No damage to your Rv due to park neglect!!! read more

Our family has been coming every June to Cape Kiwanda RV Resort since 2010. We usually get two one room cabins and stay for 2-4 nights. Things have changed recently and we most likely will not be coming back. The small cabins used to be 95-120.00 a night and this year increased to 220-280 a night. Just for reference a 3/4 star hotel in the same area runs between 200-350 a night. We decided to get a tent space instead as we love the tradition of coming and love the area. PROS: Dog Friendly Fairly clean overall 2 min walk to the beach Playground Indoor pool Cabins have heat and privacy fencing Maintenance people are very helpful Parking is manageable even on a busy weekend CONS: Price, there are cheaper places a little less close to the beach Tent spaces are so close together and so so small. Our tents were physically touching both our neighbors. WIFI is nonexistent Bathrooms desperately need to be updated They have a fairly large conference room that you used to be able to reserve for free (helpful when it's raining) and now it's 100.00 a day. It sits empty, I've never seen anyone use it. Our 4 day/3 night trip was a mix of sun and rain, our camp site got muddy very quickly. And because the tent sites are so small (they stopped letting you tent near the trees) it felt very crowded even with our small group. We still had fun, we like to thrift in Tillamook and climb the dune. On the rainy parts of the day the indoor pool is a lifesaver if you have kids. Each tent site has water and an outlet for power, ours went out the second night but maintenance fixed it by our last night. We filled our down time with s'mores and board games. Wood is now 10.00 a bundle, we suggest buying it in Tillamook for 5.00. Dory's Pizza is take out only, their website doesn't work but they have a QR code on the door for ordering. We had a meh kind of time, we are glad we didn't spring for the cabins. Bunnies are still there multiplying and they look to be adding in a miniature golf course. First time visit and likely last time visit. Park has some nice amenities such as mini-golf and pool/hot tub. Other than that the resort is entirely overpriced and run poorly. We were clear on our trailer length but were given a site that didn't accomidate our tow vehicle (as if the trailer would magically transport itself). We had no more than 6 feet between the trailer and neighboring sites so campfires were out of the question and we had the pleasure of listening to neighboring family argue all day... We asked for a call back from the manager but didn't get a call back but they were sure quick to call when they mistakenly thought we hadn't left by the 11am checkout. Based on the most recent reviews this resort was a gem but we've clearly missed the window. Too bad as Pacific City is a cool place to hang out. read more

Ok update to my update. July 2022. My husband reserved a week here which just happened to "open up" while the person was on the phone with him. He did say prices had gotten a lot more expensive, but we never really knew how much. Back in sites are now $75 + taxes ($100) a night on weekdays and $110 + taxes ($125) on weekends and holidays. $90 for tent sites on weekends and holidays. Yikes. However, we were all the way here and had no other reservations so we were stuck. This place is a ghost town. Never seen so many spots open in the summer. The place is cleaner but haven't visited the marketplace yet. Dorryland pizza is closed which is a huge bummer. The only saving grace to this place is the proximity to the beach, the ease for bike riding and the playground. Not sure at this price how many more times we will be coming back. For 6 nights it was well over $600. read more

Great amenities pool, playground, and wood($10!!) for sale. The workers were a lot of help as well. They had a couple tent campsites but they were barely big enough for a two person tent. They have half sized picnic tables and no parking for the campsites. 40 dollars a night. If it wasn't for all the bunnies everywhere I would've left. Im not sure if they bought them or they are wild. This was our first time here. There are not that many sites for RVs over 30ft. The site we got 17, was tight as you can see. We would stay here again but ask for another site as those were nice and roomy. Sitting next to a sewer while at the fire pit is not my idea of relaxing LOL. read more

This is our second year at Cape Kiwanda! We have a group of friends that have an annual camping trip to Pacific City...this year there were approximately 60 if us all together. The campground is situated across the street from the beach with great surfing and total beauty! It is surrounded by the best cafe...Stimulus Cafe, a general store, a pizza place...Doryland Pizza, a surf shop with rentals...Moment Surf Company, and a taco shop...Ben and Jeff's Burgers and Tacos. Everything you would need for a fantastic family getaway! There are all of the amenities needed at the campground and more...a pool with a hot tub, weight room, playground, cabins, RV sites, tent sites and hot showers! Our girls love going back and forth between surfing at the beach and warming up in the hot tub all afternoon long! The office staff is very friendly and has gone out of their way to accommodate our large group. We all enjoy our time at Cape Kiwanda so much that we book for the next year before we leave! It is a highlight to our summer for our family! I used to live here years ago and decided to revisit. Stayed the first night on 01/11/22 and it was great. Didn't have anyone right next door. The rabbits are awesome to watch. Walk to the beach and Pelican Brewery. Great first night. Went up the coast and stayed a night in Seaside and decided to swing back through and spend one more night. Park wasn't full for a Thursday, plenty of RV spaces. When we got to our spot, we were right next door to a Fifthwheel. So I called the office hoping we could move over one or two spots or maybe to the first spot we were at. But apparently they were all booked from what Julie said at the front desk. And pretty much said " we can move you by the playground", really Julie? A little snotty and rude for that remark. And I bet when I wake up in the morning the same spots will be open. Check out is 11 and willing to bet none of the spots next to us will be all filled. Very unpleasant you are, Julie. I would have gave a five star but Julie had to be a spoiler. UPDATE: Just as I thought, all spaces were available this morning. Not one was rented. So tell me Julie, why the big lie about having no other spaces?? Was it because you didn't want to do your job? We've been to Pacific City at least annually but this was the first time we brought our R-Pod trailer. Spaces were roomy and easy to back into. We were very pleased with this RV Park and enjoyed the proximity to the beach, to restaurants within walking distance, and to restroom & shower facilities nearby. I prefer not to use the toilet and shower aboard the RV if I can avoid it. Items in the market were overpriced and we expect that but we'd supplied our trailer well. The Park was well-maintained and park personnel were pleasant and helpful with directions. Other campers who parked nearby were pleasant and we cooperated well with each other. Late August weather was perfect! Pets are permitted and we have two dogs that travel well. We enjoyed our 3-day stay and we hope to return soon. We consider this one of the best RV experiences we've had. read more

The location of the RV park was fantastic but that was about it. My brother reserved two pull through sites with the same specs a couple months ago and we were told you could not reserve specific sites but they would try to make sure we were next to each other. When we arrived they told us they couldn't put us next to each other due to other reservations. At first, we thought this was probably true and didn't think too much about it. As we drove through the park and noticed how many open sites were available, including the one right next to mine we went back to the gate and asked if we could have the one next to my assigned site and were told no, it was reserved for tonight. Well.... I thought you couldn't reserve specific sites. Anyway, my brother went to his assigned site and we just did our thing. It just became more frustrating as no one ever came to the site next to us and the people in the site on the other side of us checked out and we asked about that site and were told we couldn't move to that one either. We traveled a LONG way (from different states to see each other) and it is really disappointing that the customer service sucked so bad. On checkout day we asked for a late checkout and again we're told no, even though the 6 sites on either side of us are all empty. Just poor customer service all the way around. Will look for alternate RV parks in the future. read more

We recently stayed at this place this must have been the last site available as it had no grass and no picnic table the fire pit was right on the road. When we called to talk to the facility about our stay they asked why we didn't say anything because they would have brought as a table. A table would not have saved this site. When I asked about the road they said it was a utility path so golf carts when by there multiple times a day as well as other vehicles because it was not properly marked. All of the other sites looked pretty nice it's just unfortunate that we got a site that was not up to par as all the rest. When I called I was only told to not stay in that site again and was not offered any type of compensation of our over $200 bill for three nights. Will NOT be going back! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I have had my reservations for months for spring break next week. I just received a email that our rate has increased an additional 112 dollars for four nights. How can you change your rates once you book. Now they will not answer their phone. Imagine that. I am canceling and will never stay again. Plus, as of last week their pool still didn't have a heater and they closed the pizza shop next door. This place is not worth 75 a night to park my trailer. We didn't actually get to stay at the resort because when I called (4 months in advance) to reserve for the month of June, I was told, "No, we don't have any availability." The reservationist, who answered the phone simply, "Reservations" - no name of the resort, no name of the reservationist, just "Reservations" - made zero effort to accommodate us. We would happily have accepted a week in one spot and three in another, or any combination of spots and weeks that would have given us a month at the Cape. Nope. Not happening. It was seriously disappointing because we had stayed there previously & all the staff were very friendly & helpful. I sent an email to owners Marty & Terri Johnston, but I didn't receive any reply. And this is a Good Sam approved operation? We won't be back. read more

The new owners are greedy and were charging for the pool when we were paying over $72/night for a crappy camp spot that had huge piles of dog poop, disgusting bathrooms with a sink not even working with hair, trash, and dirt on the floor, and horrible Wi-Fi. Our first time staying at this RV resort and we had a good time! Our spot was tricky to get in to. Check in was a breeze. Our daughter enjoyed the wild bunnies and the sand volleyball court. Was really nice to walk to the beach multiple times every day! Wish the store was open a little later...8pm is early when you want to get some ice cream after dinner! It's a cool park with good amenities. The service leaves a lot to be desired. We were told they didn't take reservations for specific spots but were denied a spot due to it being reserved. We had a four day trip planned and got in late the first night. When we got up in the morning we noticed lots of spots near the playground (6) and figured we would request a spot there for our young kids to play like we did on the last visit. My husband went to the front and the lady Andrea said we could not have one of the spots near the playground, they were indeed reserved. My husband inquired as to the no reservation policy and she said no reservations were available but they were reserved. My husband came back to the trailer and relayed the information to me. I called back to the front desk to clarify and was told the same information. We decided to stay even though we were frustrated. Of all the nights we camped all spots were only full one night. I don't know how their booking system works but the customer service was not up to par. No apologies were even offered. I called the corporate office to place a complaint and never received a call back, it's been more than a week since my message. I would have to assume that behavior is allowed and no conversation feels necessary from the manager or owner. read more

This is a great RV park to stay at with a good location across the street from Pelican Brewery and the beach. We had two of the pull-through sites when you first enter the park and the sites themselves are fine but the only strange thing is the location of the fire pit. The staff was very nice and friendly and helped answer any questions we had. The bathrooms and showers were very nice and kept clean which is always appreciated. First the good....Nice well maintained grounds. Good pool, store and friendly staff. The bad. There were 20 of us that had reserved cabins or rv sites for a family reunion. Some of the problems were rv spaces that were to small for the rig. Older couple with out kids placed next to the playground and the basic attitude of the park was tough. They refused to talk to the parent or kids even though the kids were running around in there campsite. We also had a couple and there son and daughter in law sharing a cabin. Because they flew in they called ahead requesting lines. They were told sure no problem. When they checked in no linens. Went to the office many times and were to they would be delivered to the cabin. They NEVER got the linens. The people in rvs gave them there extras. The worst however was I call there no fewer than 4 times durning the past year organizing the reunion. In that time I was promised a place big enough for our dinner. The last place they told us we could set up BBQs and tables for 30 people was between the 2 deluxe cabins we had reserved. It was about 8 feet wide. Are you kidding, for 30 people. Bottom line to many people making promises and not fulfilling them. Also no one at the office knows what the other is doing or promising. read more

We stayed here during the week in August and loved the location. Sites are gravel with a patch of grass where the fire pits are. Sites were small in width but plenty long and they had a few pull through sites in the front. Full hook ups with spotty free wifi. Clubhouse had an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and showers which the kids loved. They also had a store that was well stocked and a play area for kids which is very sandy! The small cabins looked cute from the outside and there were lots of them plus some permanent residences. Across the street is a big flat sandy beach where you can drive, swim, surf or crab. There is also an excellent restaurant right on the beach, Pelican Brewery, they have yummy food, a patio and beer. There is also a little cafe next to the office that has pastries and coffee. The only downside to our trip was when we checked in the lady seemed like she could care less whether we stayed there or not. When we went to get firewood, wine and chocolate the next day the new lady was super nice. read more

We really enjoyed our stay...the reason for only 4 stars would be the lack of privacy and closeness of each site. It didn't bother us too much but you need to be open to lots of kids as this is a very family friendly place :) the store is well stocked with gifts/clothing/food/Rv needs...and if you want a quick decent pizza Doryland Pizza is right there. And if you are a beer enthusiast (as we are) the Pelican is across the street...the menu has changed since our last trip and we weren't impressed but the beer is still good so-cheers to that! we will definitely be back! read more

This was my first time staying in my RV here. I absolutely loved staying there. They had everything you would want and very pet friendly. I stayed a week and was able to walk to everything without driving anywhere. The pool was really nice and warm and the jacuzzi just as nice. Both being of good size. With the beach being right across the road it was really convenient. I have no complaints at all and can't wait until I can go again. Oh and the bunnies were a added bonus. read more

I would stay here again, 1) but I would like to warn you that the bathrooms are locked, with a keypad to open the doors, BUT the men's lock was broken, and not locked at all, and the women's was EXTREMELY difficult to open, we finally put duck tape over the latch. 2) the toilets in the women's room - one out of the three toilets was out of order, and the other two were not meant for the heavy use of a campground, so were difficult to flush, and usually took 2 or 3 flushes to flush totally 3) showers are required before getting in the pool, which is great, IF the showers were working. So again, the cleaning crew works hard and does a good job, but administration needs to invest some money in security, and in commercial use toilets and showers. read more

Cape Kiwanda RV Park was always our go to spot for a quick weekend get away with family and friends. We love the beach and small-town feel. I have been coming to Cape Kiwanda for 45 years. I remember everyone was welcome no matter what you camped with. As I ponder 2023's vacations and weekend getaways this will no longer be a destination for us. We used to stay in the cabins, but they have doubled in price. We took our pop-up last July for a weekend anniversary getaway to my wife's favorite beach. The site must have been a van site because I had to park the tow vehicle sideways, 5 feet from the fire pit so no campfire. We talked with a campground employee; they said the new owners are looking for higher end customer. That explains the higher prices. If you take your BMW, high end Sprinter or $100,000 plus RV camping this is the place for you. If you are like a lot of people who love the outdoors and are looking for a simple, inexpensive place to camp by the beach with your friends and family, you can stay at Fort Stevens State Park for a third of the price. read more

So until today I used to love coming here for the deli but today's experience left me irate and I will never come here again or refer anyone here either. Here goes.... My husband, daughter, and myself drove here from almost 2 hours away to enjoy some fresh deli sandwiches. When we walk in we were not greeted, which is not usual, we browsed around for a bit and decided that only I would be ordering a sandwich this time. As I look over the menu, I decided on my usual the Turkey and cranberry croissant with a side of chips. According to the large display menu and the order sheet, this is a combo as in the sandwich and chips come together. Boy was I wrong and when I corrected "Warlock" not sure if that's his real name or not so we will just say the Crotchety old man, I was met with a flippant, douchebag attitude. I continued to smile and again corrected the guy and told him that according to the GIANT menu display and the order sheet, these items come together. He says in a rather sarcastic attitude "Fine man That's just fantastic" and throws his pen and my order sheet back on the counter. Whatever, people have a bad day sometimes. I can forgive a tough day attitude. What I cannot abide is what happened next. So order is placed and we begin browsing the store again and as I'm slowly making my way back to the front I hear "Warlock" say "Dont forget the chips. The lady was throwing a temper tantrum over those chips". I assertively, borderline douchebag myself say, " I was not throwing a temper tantrum and I don't appreciate you saying that I was when I simply want what is clearly on your menu. I attempted to speak with the manager about it but inall honesty, I was really upset and made it clear that I will NEVER refer anyone here again. She didn't seem to care much so we just left. That man has no business working with the public and I will not promote this business any further until he is removed from that store. read more
