We come to SRRVC each year for two weeks. I feel peace wash over driving in. The views are calming. The staff accommodating and sweet. Sites are good size and private. Great beach access and quiet people in the park. Nothing fancy, but the views make up for it. No laundry and older restrooms but did I mention the sunsets and views?

Site 20 had a fabulous view and the ocean crashing against the rocks blocked most of the noise from highway traffic. Friendly people and clean too.

This was a wonderful RV park. Small, clean and friendly. The host was one of the nicest people! Really appreciated that you didn't have to pay for a shower! Great beach right across the road. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our second time here. We will definitely be back. This year was a little cooler and foggy but it was just as beautiful and relaxing. Afterall this is the Oregon Coast. Most sites have an ocean view. The management is helpful and friendly.

Spectacular view!! However we did not feel that this campground was very well-maintained. There's nobody that is over seeing this campground that we ever saw. you check-in via email. The highway is very noisy and detracted quite a bit from our stay. The beach is beautiful and fun to walk at low tide, however, crossing the busy highway was a little precarious for us. Too pricey!!

We have been visiting Seal Rock Rv for many years. One of the best policies they have is NO LED lights unless you are outside using them. This makes it so people like us can leave our windows open at night to listen to the ocean nearby without having to close blinds because of lights. It also lets you enjoy a nice fire and night sky without someone having to deal with "light noise " from other campers. The staff and sites are amazing in all aspects. Best place on the Oregon coast!

Space 18 - sitting area is a little sloped but you have a beautiful view

We would recommend staying at any spot in this park. We chose space 18 and had a beautiful view of the ocean. I recommend looking at posted pictures of all spots to see if you like picnic table placement and levelness of outside sitting area. It rained the entire time we were there so that didn't matter. We had a beautiful view and would choose any one of the premium sites, although most had a beautiful view. I was worried about internet after reading reviews but we did not have any issues at all. We ran our fire stick for TV and laptop for work, and had zero issues. Cable didn't really work for us. Not sure why. There is road noise, there is no getting around that. But it did not bother us. I also get anxiety crossing the highway to the beach access, but that's just me. Once you are there, you have access to a beautiful beach with amazing tide pools. Management is easy to communicate with via email. (We requested to extend our stay). I cannot find one thing to complain about in this park. We love it and highly recommend it

I was fortunate enough to book a week in space 14 with my extended family beside me in 15. Off by ourselves looking out over the tide pools watching whales on a daily basis. The best time I have ever spent on the Oregon coast! It does sit across the highway from the beach, you have to cross highway to get to the beach but we never had a problem getting across and our camp sits high enough that you don't look directly at traffic, just the ocean. Close to Seal Lion Caves, Sand Dunes in Florence and just outside of Newport with all the amenities. LOVED IT!

This RV park meets the needs of RVers of varying physical abilities. If you enjoy sitting inside your rv looking at the ocean and trees, sitting outside doing the same, or being daring and crossing highway 101 to access the beach, this place is perfect. Grocery stores, drug stores and restaurants are about 20 minutes away and there are plenty of cute towns and nice parks an easy drive away. This rv park is clean and clientele sedate and friendly. There is a clean single shower and bathroom for use by the entire park so you may need to rely upon your own facilities. We stayed 7 nights in spot 40 which is a full hook-up with 50 amps. The sight was spacious, had a front row view of the ocean, was pretty level and had a fire ring and picnic table. The cost for 7 nights with added county tax and a state tax was 524 dollars. We felt the price was a bit steep because of the limited bathroom and shower facilities, poor to non existant wifi, the lack of concrete pads ( the hard rock pads were ok, and pretty level, but not what other parks at this price offer) and mostly because of the poorly constructed the sewer inlet. It had a very awkward angle and made it difficult for sewage to readily flow through the hose. Also, since you are right above the open ocean, expect it to be cool, windy, overcast and rainy even in the summer. We were there in early july and it was mostly in the upper 50's and we had 2 days of rain. We were mostly indoor campers as it was too cold and windy to sit around a campfire. I guess my 4 stars is mostly for the view and size of spot 40. Otherwise I would give it a 3. Attached are pictures from each window of the rv.

Ocean views, tide pools, private sites, seal and whale spout sightings...wish we would have stayed longer! Sites/setting: We stayed in site 40 and had an amazing view of the ocean and a direct path to the beach! All sites seemed to be rather easy to get in and out. Site pads are gravel and our site was long and level. Had we not needed to run out to the store we could have stayed hitched up. All sites have a picnic table and a nice fire pit (you can purchase wood there for $5 a bundle). Amenities/Utilities: Cell service was hit or miss. There was wi-fi available (you need the passcode). The campground doesn't have a store, so aside from firewood you need to either head to Waldport (5 miles South) or Newport (about 10 miles north). There was a laundry facility, but we didn't use it. Bathroom was small, but well maintained. There is a very small dog play area that is fenced. Probably best for smaller dogs. They do provide doggie bags. Activities: No activities in the park, but it wasn't needed with the beach and tide pools being a short walk across highway 101. Military discount offered. All staff/owners were super friendly and helpful! While my husband was getting us ready to leave I took our 3 little ones to check out the beach one more time and we got tided up in the tide pools and checking out the seals. Check out is 11:30 and it was just before 12 and we were racing back to pull off. The owner came up and asked about our stay. I apologized for the late departure. He was very nice and told us it was no problem and was glad we enjoyed our time there...even though the next guests were waiting to get into the site. Hope we find our way back again some day!

We booked a Bayview site, which was described as on somewhat of a bluff, with amazing views of the bay, the bay bridge, and in the distance, the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I'll include a photo of our non-view of anything except overgrown bushes. As I walked around the campground, I noticed that there are very few sites that allow for any kind of privacy. Many of the back in sites are shared, so that you back in to their back in.

We drove to our back-in site and got situated. Our site was supposedly a "Bayview" site. However our site had 8 foot tall bushes and trees behind it that blocked the view. We mentioned that to one of the grounds keepers. Big mistake on our part. For the next two days there was constant gas powered equipment cutting away at the shrubbery outside our camp. They didn't let up until 6:30 pm each day, so there was really no good time to sit outside to enjoy a beverage with no view. Since campers must check out at 11 am and new arrivals can't check in until 2 pm, I suggest they do campsite management between those hours, or other times when those campsites aren't occupied. We could see the view of the Alsea Bridge from our next-door neighbor's site, and I will say the view of the bridge is remarkable.

The owners are great dog lovers and they will do anything to make you and your pets feel welcome. The park is small with excellent amenities, washer/dryer room, full hook ups, cable tv, and the wifi is free and excellent strength. I know this really is exceptional. Most parks will tell you they have free wifi but most are hardly usable and have the pace of a 2400 baud modem in the '90's. It is not really a park for those with kids, there are no kids amenities like play grounds and they are not allowed in the river. We especially picked Chinook RV because it breathes the simplicity that we like and that makes us feel relaxed. The proximity to the river is awesome. The dog off leash area is also located at the river and they have a HUGE field to run and play in and get their paws wet in the river. I am a wheelchair user and Chinook RV Park is very accessible to me. I can accompany the dogs easily to the off-leash area in my wheelchair and can even drive around on the field and getting close to the water. This depends on the tide of course, if it has been high tide the grounds can be wet on some places and you will soon get to know those areas and know you have to avoid them in order to not get stuck. We were parked at space nr: 16, all spaces are wide and large. Our 5th wheeler is 42 ft long and we had no problem fitting in. The cute small seaside town of Waldport is a 3 minute ride away. There are a couple of accessible beaches where you can get access with a wheelchair and sit at the entrance to the beach. I can highly recommend Ona Park which has a lovely bridge over the slough and lots of places to sit and watch the dogs run on the beach. Patterson State Park is our absolute favorite, it has a paved sloped path to the beach. I park at the end of the path and watch the dogs play. Patterson State Beach has a small stream of non-salty water the the dogs love and will lie in to cool off. if you do not want to go down the sloped path you can sit up the hill, there are benches where you can watch those on the beach and it has stunning views over the sea. Waldport has a good variety of small shops, an excellent grocery, pharmacy, drug store, hardware store, candy store and don't forget the antique stores. On Thursdays and Saturdays the Pacific Dough Company, a bakery with the yummiest breads, tarts and pastries is open to the public. You have to try their Raspberry tarts they are to die for. On wednesday there is a small farmers market where you can buy all kinds of fresh produce and of course some art products. For breakfast and lunch/dinner I can highly recommend Jamie's Dockside Diner. A little bit further up the Alsea River Jamie has her diner on the dock on the river and serves the tastiest food ever. Take your time and lounge outside on the dock while enjoying your food. Chinook RV Park is conveniently located to all these great 'things to do'. This park management is of the highest standard that we ever experienced. They made us feel right at home and we are sorry we have to pack up and go. We certainly will be back!!

They also have a great mini-mart on premises for forgotten items, such as ice, firewood, and a bottle of decent Pinot Gris! Our site was perfect for our 20 foot trailer and truck. Decent internet enabled us to watch movies on the one mostly rainy day of our stay. There was adequate privacy, plus nearby green space to take our dog. When we arrived to our site# 159 the pavers were full of weeds, some cracked, and an uneven site. We were very disappointed based on the price and the condition of the site. I talked to one of the staff and there comment was "the owner will be here next week and will take care of it." I explained that we were only there of 4 nights, he offered no other consolation or any concern for our disappointment. The next day I went to the office and talked to the manager, she also was very unsympathetic and said she had to talk to someone else. To say the least, no one ever got back to us! The rest of the park is nice, but definitely not worth the price. The TV's were not working in the gym (very small gym), and the advertised pickleball court was full of leaves and branches. The most frustrating part is the lack of customer service of the staff, they completely blew off our concerns and nobody appeared to have any concern for the fact that we booked this months in advance and paid a premium price for a poorly maintained site. We will not stay at this park again and certainly not recommend to anyone! We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

And we'd stayed there just last year!!! All the other campgrounds were closed, so we had to jump on our phones and find a hotel room and cart our toiletries, etc, inside in a grocery bag. Yes, we were given a full refund, but what is the worst that could happen if they'd have just let us stay for 2 nights? Likely nobody would have complained, anyway, and, had someone asked, the staff would have simply explained that they'd made an error and didn't want to turn us away with no place to stay. Just seemed way short on human kindness. I miss that.
