Beautiful rooftop bar with great view of the downtown area. There are a lot of seatings throughout the place, both indoors and outdoors. I was here on a Saturday night it was bustling but there were plenty of tables around. The menu is mostly Tapas and drinks. I wasn't hungry so just got the crab cakes which tastes good. I got the pom reader which is the only nonalcoholic cocktail they have on the menu and I thought it tasted strong and spiced. The flavor of star anise is very prominent, maybe a bit much for me but it may be tasty for some people. Service was nice and attentive. The main draw is the atmosphere and view.

Went to have drinks before dinner. Hubby had a smoked old fashion and approved of the way they make them. He is kind of an old fashion snob and smoked ones he seems to be more judgmental about. I like to try different things and opted for the This ain't Texas drink. It was a nice change from some of the swanky new drinks. The service was nice, quick and friendly.

Capella on 9 has been one of my staple meals since working in Asheville. The AC has been home for several months and you can't go wrong at Capella. Great views of the city and mountains, excellent hospitality, friendly staff, delicious and filling meals. Top notch bourbon selection. They have my favorite bourbon from Park City, Utah, MWND.

Sunset side of rooftop

Service from reservation to seating us was smooth & nice staff. We got seated on the sunset rooftop side. There's plenty of seating inside and also in the back -outside seating. I think anywhere you're seated you'll have a nice view. The menu is mostly Tapas and drinks. Waitress was knowledgeable when I asked abt a couple dishes on the menu. Food was pretty good. Though my ribeye was a bit overcooked for a medium. Which I forgot to take a pic of here.

Time got away from us so we needed a late dinner spot without a rez with a great view, and an Asheville resident suggested Capella on 9. There was no one to greet us or direct us on arrival and after standing around a while we asked the bartender if we should just seat ourselves. We ended up tucked in a private corner overlooking the city so all was well. Bar and restaurant are shared open spaces so it's a good spot for when you want a more lively dinner or drink out. A great eclectic crowd mixed with ppl just there for drinks and others there for dinner or both. Friendly service and we really loved the scallops, they were cooked well and the dish had a nice little kick of heat at the end. The crab cakes were just ok. Good amount of crab but just kind of bland. If you have bread pudding on your menu, it is always a "yes" for me so we got the cinnamon croissant bread pudding. It was very good, it was served warm and we enjoyed it but as you can see from the pic, it didn't come with fresh cream or ice cream or any other element so it just missed a bit there. A solid place for a drink, a small plate and a great view

Sam was a wonderful waitress. She's very fun and attentive. We enjoyed the watching the sunset on the rooftop bar. The menu is limited but ok.

Wrong time maybe? We wanted to come here for drinks and light bites and enjoy the view on the rooftop patio during our foodie night out in Asheville, but the patio was under construction so only part of it was open and the view was mostly construction zone. I have a feeling it will be amazing once completed. Our service was fine, nothing to write about really. As for food and cocktails, we had mixed reviews as well: Spanish Olives - basic - you could easily make this at home. Ceviche was decent, not the best I've ever had, but we did finish it. The Tuna was the star to me - I'd order that again anytime! Our cocktails were also good. I'd give this place a shot again when I'm in town next once the patio is complete, but I think I'd have to convince my ladies of that as they weren't as into it as other spots in town.

On the left was the Don't be salty cocktail and the right was Paper dragon

The drinks here were beautiful and tasted amazing as well! Not to mention the views on the rooftop! We didn't have any food but the server that brought us our drinks was super nice and attentive

This was quite a mixed review. Pros: The service was very good. The steak was made perfectly to order. Cons: Wow loud place on the weekends. The blackberry smoke had so much heat I would not taste the tequila or the blackberries.

This was a welcome surprise. Made the reservation to have the rooftop but the food and atmosphere was great.

The space itself is incredibly cool, featuring exposed concrete, a massive back bar, a vintage print shop sign, and my personal favorite--a disco ball chandelier. The bartenders were so welcoming and fantastic to chat with during our visit. They were running a super fun '90s throwback menu while we were there. If it's still available when you drop in, definitely try the "Last Time Lover" and "Smells Like Green Spirit." The Last Time Lover even came with a nostalgic butterfly clip holding a Spice Girls photo! If you're a cocktail fan, I highly recommend this spot. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Asheville.

Their espresso martini is probably the best I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Every bartender here is incredibly knowledgeable. They can make anything you ask for and then walk you through the history and origins of the cocktail like you're getting a mini masterclass with your drink. The bar itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of spirits and a menu full of creative cocktails featuring ingredient combinations you'd never expect to work together -- but somehow they absolutely do. It's also one of the best places in the city to sit back and people-watch while enjoying a perfectly made drink. Do not skip The Times -- honestly, it's worth going out of your way to stop there.

We started with drinks. My husband ordered the blueberry wheat beer and it was incredibly smooth. You could actually taste the blueberry without it being overpowering, which I loved (and I'm not even a beer drinker) For food, we kicked things off with the spinach and artichoke dip (always a good test) and it did not disappoint. Then we had the smoked Gouda bacon jam sliders. The flavors were perfect. The crab rangoons were next and honestly tasted super fresh, unlike any rangoon we've had before. We also ordered the sirloin empanadas and those were another hit. I wish I could eat all those items everyday because of how good they were For dessert, we wanted to try a bunch. The dessert servings are definitely shareable between 2+ people depending what you order. The princess buttercup cake was the perfect balance of rich cake with light, fluffy buttercream. Not overly sweet, just right. We also got the cookies & milk to go with the chocolate raspberry torte and wow!! The torte was light, layered nicely and had fresh raspberries in between. It wasn't heavy at all which is what you'd expect from a rich cake. Literally zero complaints. Everything from the service to the drinks to every single dish checked all the boxes. It's honestly one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in a while. We'll absolutely be back when we visit Asheville again!

Since we were a large group, we were quickly ushered into a back room. It felt like something out of a movie with the clandestine room, cozy atmosphere and low light ambiance. We had a private hostess who did a great job serving our party of 15. We ordered the tiramisu, my husbands favorite dessert. It was delicious and had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. In fact, everyone's dessert was delicious across the board. I suppose with a name like Crave Dessert Bar, you have to get that right! For note, the desserts are pricey at $15-20 a pop.
