We started by sharing the daily special, fried tomato caprese, which was really tasty and something I hadn't tried before. I would definitely order that again. My friend ordered the chicken special and really enjoyed it. I had the chicken sandwich, which was fine. For drinks we ordered at the bar, I ordered a lemonade that was fresh and enjoyable, and I'd happily get it again. I also took dessert to go, a lemon chess pie, which was delicious the next day, though the portion was on the smaller side. On the downside, I didn't love the overall service. While I understand it may have been a busy or late evening, both the hostess and our server didn't come across as particularly welcoming, and we felt a bit overlooked at times. We arrived to our reservation early because of the rain and the hostesses was very clear we had to wait. We waited at the bar for an extra ten minutes from our reservation which was disappointing. That said, John at the bar stood out and really made our night better with his service and attitude. The location itself is nice, and I think this may have just been an off day. Despite the service, I would be open to giving Carmel's another try in the future.

There's an elevator in the alley outside, but we ended up taking the elevator inside the main lobby of The Moxy, which worked perfectly. Don't let the navigation stress you out; it's worth the effort once you get there. The vibe is a really cool blend of lounge and restaurant -- relaxed enough to linger, but polished enough to feel like a night out. We opted for three small plates and one large plate to share, which turned out to be a great way to sample the menu. Everything was well done and kept us wanting more bites. If you're a whiskey or bourbon fan, you'll be in heaven -- the selection is impressive and one of the clear highlights. Our server was friendly, clearly knew the menu inside and out, and did a great job staying attentive on what was a very busy Saturday night. We had a genuinely great time and would absolutely recommend Wildwood Still for a fun evening out. We'll be back!

The description literally started with the number 5, which makes it confusing. This place ain't cheap, and I do like to splurge. Service didn't seem to match the price point of this restaurant, service should be high end with high end prices. All in all, I'd come again but it's not my favorite choice in downtown Asheville.

The wings were large, juicy and cooked perfectly. We give the wings a 5 out of 5. They were accompanied by an interesting twist on the celery, thin slices that tasted like it had been soaked in lemon juice. Excellent. But the ahi was another matter. The presentation was excellent - unique and interesting - and it was served with a nice selection of different sauces streaked along the plate. A miniscule serving of chopped ahi was served atop 6 deep fried squares of sweet rice measuring about 1.5 inches on a side. The concept was really clever but the rice was so overcooked it was a solid wad of paste; the ahi on top of each small square of rice was good but was skimpy, to say the least - smaller than a teaspoon of chopped fish on each rice square. I doubt the total amount of ahi would have filled a shot glass. We give the presentation a 5 but the quality and quantity a 3.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, my friend Marissa and I sat at the bar and enjoyed some lively chatting with other patrons. If you were familiar with RosaBees in the RAD, the menu will seem familiar, loaded with great choices and creativity. Marissa ordered the Patata's Bravos - Roasted potatoes , olive oils and Bravas sauce - $9. I chose the Big A** Tuna Poke bowl for $22. Toss in one of their special Margarita's and a draft beer we left very happy customers. Check out this hidden gem for some excellent food and drinks. I might have had the southern fried chicken plate the first time too, come to think of it... it's just impossible to find well done Southern food in the west, so I can't pass it up! The patio has nice seating options including a couple coveted tables in the shade. They are all pretty huge picnic tables so you may end up sharing if it's busy, but that's kinda the vibe here. There are dog water bowls and ice water for the pups in the summertime. Regarding vibes, it's right up my alley with servers rocking hairy armpits and tattoos all over the place. If you're a little more physically conservative you may be a bit put off, but I'd encourage you to try it out anyway.

I love how Resy also allows you to specify where in the restaurant you'd like to sit depending on availability--we went with the high top nook spot, which is really special/cozy for two people.
