I love Ella! She is amazing and does the bets balayage! She has so much pride in what she does and wants all of her clients to look perfect! she went out of her way to squeeze me in on a very busy Friday night so I looked confident and beautiful for my engagement photos! Thank You so much Ella!

Kass is the BEST! i'll never see anyone else. I've been a client of hers for 4 years now and i recommend her to everyone i know! the environment at Capelli is amazing too. everyone who works there is so nice and accommodating. the facility is spotless and welcoming. if you haven't seen Kass yet WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Wow , Every female on the planet can say the same- Its so damn hard to find someone who knows what the hell they are doing when they touch your tresses! Even more so for people like me that are the tweeners between straight thin, long Caucasian hair and bushy, thick coarse ethnic hair. I would say my hair has a little of both such qualities and deficiencies. Curly as a mofo, but thick and soft too that takes a flattening iron about 2 hours on my own and looks NOTHING like it does when someone with more experience and less tired arms gets a hold of me. So I've had many many many experiences at salons that have been less than positive despite the best efforts of stylists that are used to hair that.s easier to work with than mine and yet more negative experiences at salons intended for ethnic hair .. "just can't always have what you want" and "the grass is always greener" are statements that have often been uttered on these such occasions. In any case I had gone to Image Salon like in the ice age and when my hair dresser left, I did too. Then I had Marjo's in Webo for some good time and the best girl there injured herself and was forced to leave. Sigh. That was many moons ago and since I'd since given up, visiting places like super cuts to get by on trims. My mum came to visit and after not seeing me for a bit, was like "Oh honey we gotta do SOMETHING about that hair!" My aunt had been to Capelli Avanti for the same hairdresser for over 40 years - Dino. She is VERY particular and spare no expense when it comes to hair care so I knew I was going in for the good stuff. Well sadly Dino was not there but they all knew about my aunt and all of a sudden my gray, dull, foofy, bleh hair was treated like royalty. I was taken in very quickly, and met with Pasquale, who had the arduous task of messing with my locks, He understood RIGHT away how I hated to style it simply because of lack of time, effort or gusto. I was thinking about dropping the extra dough on some highlights or something to liven it up. He right away said he would happily do them but because I had already had some dye in my hair from 6 months ago it would be difficult, time consuming, expensive and may not even show that well. Also because my natural hair is wavy and curly he said it can make hair looks awful messy when its supposed to accentuate a straighter hair styling. An insight I hadn't considered but know to be true! Saved me a few hours and at least $50 extra bucks I'm sure. Scalp was scrubbed up and ready to go in 10 mins flat though I did have to wait a bit long afterwards to get the dye , cut and style, I was provided with fresh coffee and water while I skimmed through their latest and greatest ( actually current) hair style magazines. I got a chance to take this place in.. the decor is minimal but actually elegant, not busy or distracting. Lots of mirrors and reflective surfaces for that polished feel in this old exposed brick Worcester mill building ( Home of the former Northworks Restaurant) Most of the other patrons both male and female seemed like regulars, all very comfortable with the stylists. I can say this place was not loud or crazy, but relaxing although they had a fairly steady set of customers early on a Saturday. When I made it to Pasquale's chair he very quickly pointed out that what i thought to be layers in my hair was actually a very inexperienced stylist had previously cut my hair 4 inches shorter on the left side and left the right side long! I was so shocked I was so sad that I had to let go of over 4 inches of my precious hair (yes I'm one of those) I almost cried , but alas it had to be done. He made me feel much better about it once he cut it down in what seemed like 4 mins. ZOOM! Even soaking wet my hair looked like it had not only a breath of fresh air, but new lungs. What typically takes me 2 hours with a hair dryer, brush and flat iron, took Pasquale about beginning to end. Boom! Straight, but not pin straight, natural color with tons of shine and felt like I had just dropped a 50 lb weight stuck to my head. Very reasonable price less than $90 for the whole sha-bang and I walked out feeling like a movie star when i walked in feeling more like a garbage dumpster. Its clear that from all the staff members , they want you to leave relaxed and happy with how you look. The tresses are happy and I've found my new place!!

I came in for a balayage and they gave me patchy highlights and purple money pieces. I came in a second time for a fix and they got rid of the highlights and I left the salon with black hair which is the exact opposite of what I wanted. Most of the employees are assistants and are learning on us. They kept jumping from one person to another and didn't seem like they cared what the outcome was.

I showed the hair dresser two specific pictures of what kind of hairstyle I want. She simply glanced at it then looked to the side and said "okay" as if she didn't want to do it. I told her to please keep my hair long that I only want a few layers and for the style I wanted a messy beach wave look. She did not comply with anything I asked her to do. It's like she completely ignored my request and only did what she wanted with my hair. That's my hair I've been growing out for years and now it's a complete wreck. I honestly can't even stand my hair anymore and I've never been this upset over a haircut.

I started going to Capelli Avanti for about a year now and I am obsessed!! Kass is my favorite hair dresser there and achieves my hair goals every time I go in to see her. She is extremely talented and amazing, especially with hand tied extensions and color. She is the only hair dresser I have ever had that can make me the level of bright, "Barbie" blonde I have always asked for. I will gladly continue to drive over an hour and a half from my town just to get my hair done by Kass!! Everyone at the Capelli Avanti is so professional and educated, they know what they are doing when it comes to hair. The receptionist, Brittney, is always so welcoming and friendly with her upbeat personality, whether it is when I enter the salon or call. She is so helpful with booking my appointments and checking in/out of the salon. I definitely recommend getting your hair done at Capelli Avanti (especially with Kass) in order to achieve all your hair needs and wants!! Here are some pictures of my hair that Kass has done. I am absolutely in love with my hair now thanks to her!

Stylist broke skin scrubbing off the dye on my hairline. I still have a bruise 4 days later.

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon on Saturday. I was only in town for the day and was very grateful to get an appointment for a single process color, but that's where the positives end. Once they took me in, my stylist Cassandra seemed rushed (it looked like she was doing 3 clients at once). She threw the color on me in the sink and walked away without saying anything. 45 minutes later she returned to wash it out and then brought me back for a blowout that she rushed through in about 10 minutes. After I finished and went to get my coat, I noticed that I still had black dye all over my hairline, by my eye, and it just looked incredibly messy. I asked the woman at the front desk if they could try to get it off and she brought me back to my stylist, who seemed visibly annoyed but started scrubbing at my skin. When I returned to my hotel, I noticed she had broken the skin and I had blood on the side of my face. It's now been 4 days and I still have a bruise. The color is fine (it's difficult to mess up a black single process color), but for $100 the service and experience was an overpriced disappointment.

Great space. Clean and high end design. Employees are nice and they are currently offering discounts to students. Went there with my girlfriend to get hair cuts.

    After

Jessie gave me a gorgeous natural balayage from my brassy yellow/harsh root color. It is subtle but beautiful! It's always so risky going to a new hairdresser (especially as a blonde) so I was nervous but she did amazing! I am so happy with the results and will definitely be coming back.

    Yes

Depends on the stylist. For an entry/base level stylist, I believe a cut with shampoo is ~$45.
