I moved to Sutton from Boston a few years ago. Finding a salon was important as I am in need of convenience because of my busy travel schedule, but required quality in the salon, staff and products they sell. I found it all at San Laurent! The salon is stylish, modern and clean. The staff is creative and fun! The salon hours are great, as I have been able to get after-work hours or weekends. Easy to get to ... plenty of parking ... what more do you need?? I always look forward to my next appointment and enjoy my time with Amanda!! read more

I'm quite disappointed with how I was treated the last time I got a blow out at San Laurent's blow out bar. As the blow out bar's website advertises, they offer blow outs for $35, and I've been charged this price the 4 times I've been to the salon previously. However on this trip, upon paying, I was told my blow out was going to be $45 because I have "long/thick hair." My hair is long, but by no means out of the ordinary long, which would require a nearly 30% surcharge. I mentioned that I have never been charged this price before, and the receptionist responded that I should have been charged the higher price the previous times I've been to the salon. No where is this policy listed on their website. Also I'm not sure how it was up to the receptionist to decide that my hair was long or thick since she did not do the blow out, and I did not see my hair stylist communicate that to her. I will not be returning. The reason why blow out bars are popular is because customers are charged one flat fee for this relatively simple service. read more

I had an awful experience at this hair salon. I was 110% unsatisfied and did not receive what I ask for and they still made me pay. I was told that I could come back and get my hair redone, but why would I go back to the same place that messed up my hair? It makes no sense. Also, my hair was ruined- it was way too short, choppy layers and basically bleached blonde so really nothing could be done. All I wanted was some balayage highlights and they foiled it! I later found out you are not supposed to use foils to do these types of highlights! I had to wait months for it to grow back and I went to a new salon who was able to fix it. It took me 3 cuts to get back to the style I needed!! I'll never go here again. read more

The owner of this salon cut my hair as though she was Edward Scissorhands. This salon offers a "consultation" for what you are looking for in your haircut/style, but then cut your hair how they see fit anyway. I lost several inches of hair and received a 1995 multi-layered haircut when I was only seeking to have my dead ends trimmed. Her response when I complained the following morning after seeing the results in the light of day.... "Well, luckily hair grows back. I will not be refunding you for the haircut." Wow. One would think that with a salon located in Sutton, MA, the value for their services would align with their prices. I am not convinced someone would pay $5 for the cut I received, let alone $75. Spend your money where the stylists do what is best for YOU and your hair; not what is best for them and their scissor-happy hands. read more

I had an awesome morning at the salon today! My hair is usually long but it's currently much shorter, and I struggle to style it the way I like because I'm used to longer hair. I came in today prior to my maternity photoshoot to have Sara T style my hair so I could feel confident during my session. I love how my hair came out!! She did a great job! It's the best my hair has looked in months! But not only did she did an awesome job, she and the receptionist Madison treated me so kindly. I got really hot while I was there and they got my water and opened the door despite the heavy rain to help me cool off. Madison even walked me to my car with an umbrella so the rain didn't ruin my hair. Overall, such a fun and welcoming experience! read more

Absolutely disgusted ... nothing special nor particularly artistic about my cut ... just plain cookie-cutter. For the cut and a few hair products I'm out almost $200! Will not ever go there again. I am so glad I found this place!! Just had my first ever Devacurl cut by Marinela and I am so happy with the results. She is so knowledgeable and talented and took so much time cutting and shaping my hair using the very unique dry cutting devacurl teqnique. She gave me exactly what I was looking for - more height in my crown and reducing the puffiness without cutting to much off the length. Had a great shampoo and condition with the devacurl line that they carry and she showed my exactly how to style my hair using clips at the crown and applying only 1 leave in product. It's a very wash and go, modern style and she even showed me how to diffuse it dry and also how to refresh it the next day if I don't want to wash it. Will be going back for sure!!! read more

Do not allow Jen Salvatore to touch your hair or you will too receive major chemical hair damage . This stylist was extremely unprofessional divulging her personal life . On top of that she was late and showed up to the appointment smelling like alcohol . She could have been intoxicated or recovering addict from the looks of her and he finished product to my hair . read more

I had my first Devacurl cut with Marinella on March 5, 2018. I am so happy with the cut I can't say enough about it. Except for FINALLY!! For the very first time I'm so happy with my hair and it's so easy to style! I don't have to fight with it. Marinella is super nice & spends time with you to show you how to style your hair. She is fabulous!! I will definitely be going back!! If you have naturally curly hair and you haven't had a Devacurl cut yet, I highly recommend you set up an appointment with Marinella she is very meticulous. read more

I have been a customer since 2008 and absolutely love the salon and my stylist, Sherri. I have been very happy with every hair cut and every color I have had done. I am a very casual, no fuss type of person when it comes to my hair and Sherri has encouraged me to change it up a bit but she keeps it within my low maintenance requests. I have been a client of San Laurent (formally Hair Inc.) for over 15 years. The staff is always friendly, professional, and very knowledgable about the services that they provide. I've been to multiple stylist and each one does an excellent job. I have extremely difficult hair to color and each stylist has been able to color and cut without issue. The recent renovations are stunning and will make you feel like you are in a salon in Boston, especially the blow dry bar, it's gorgeous. The receptionist is always friendly and attentive as soon as you walk in the door offering you coffee, tea or water. San Laurent uses top of the line products so you are getting what you pay for. That being said, their prices may be a bit higher than other salons in the area, but I would rather pay a little extra to have a better quality product used on my hair and a stylist that knows what she is doing. There really isn't a better salon in the area. read more

Have used this shop for 3 years and have been very happy. Mens hair cuts are $16 - $18 ? and they cut toddler hair too. Our little one will only let Marianela cut his hair. Overall very satisfied with the service, quality of cuts and how flexible they are with walk ins. They are also very understanding on rescheduling appts and do what they when your day doesn't always go as planned. Just a great bunch of people who like what they do and are good at it. read more

After a 35 minute wait without apology, I received a cut and single process color. Not only was the color uneven (with some pieces of gray completely missed), the stylist did not rinse all of the color out of my hair or off my face (smears of color across my forehead). The cut was average and my hair was not completely dried. On top of this, the quoted price was more than doubled at the register. After inquiring why and a long wait, the price was lowered to slightly more than the listed dimensional foil price- a service I did not receive. I have paid less at Newbury Street and Cambridge salons (Stilisti, Pyara, Marc Harris) for classier service and much, much better results. I highly recommend going somewhere else. read more
