I booked my appointment three months ahead of a special trip, hoping to get a balayage. I sent photos and explained my hair history, so the stylist knew what to expect. However, when I arrived after a long drive this morning, the stylist, Edward, said my hair was different than he expected and needed more work than planned. He also mentioned he was overbooked. I had told him well in advance that my hair takes a long time to style, and even requested an early morning appointment in case the process takes longer than expected. However, after just looking at my hair for an hour, Edward told me he couldn't work on my hair. If he was unsure about my hair, he had three months to request an in-person consultation or simply cancel my appointment before it's too late. Now, with my trip is a week away, l'm left scrambling because of his poor planning and lack of communication. So irresponsible! read more

Just because I'm not getting any of your services today doesn't mean you can be rude ... all the stations were very busy and loud but this lady that does "waxing" decided to ask me to stay quiet because someone is sleeping in her room ... since I was standing she targeted me and couldn't say anything to anyone else . Owner was right there and didn't say a word ( her and her clients were laughing and talking ... it's a salon that's what people do ). Horrid customer service. Maybe if you're in their circle they treat you well and it's a nice salon; but if you're not, I recommend trying somewhere else spot first. I walked in and there was no one at the front desk, so I walked inside further to be met with 3 hairstylists staring at me, offering no direction. I found the nail section and again, neither person looked up. I said excuse me and asked one lady if she had any availability and she said, "I don't." and went back to working. That was it. I went to see Armineh about six months ago for the first time, I had noticed all the beautiful colors that she posts on her page and the cool cuts and wanted to give it a try. From the moment I met her she has been amazing, I wanted an ombre balayage being a brunette no one seems to get it right, I also got a great haircut that was so chic I love it. To work on my balayage she spent so much time to make sure it was not only perfect but exactly what I wanted, she is amazing with color so much that one of her clients who is also a brunette like me wanted a platinum blond color exactly like the picture she had brought in, Armineh wanted to make sure that her hair would not be damaged and did an amazing job, she achieved what her client wanted and her other client was thrilled, Armineh does great styles, she recently gave me a very cool twist braided chignon I felt like a princess, it was beautiful. I recently moved from NYC and was looking for a place to retouch my highlights, hair treatment and hair cut. Since I don't have many friends in this area, I searched in the internet and found this place near where I live. I made a appointment, but Armine( the owner) took more then 30 minutes to start with my hair, he assistant put me in a chair and she finally came to me, I explained what I was looking for, it was pretty simple request, just retouch my highlights and hair treatment and cut the ends of my hair, I like to keep it long, so she start the highlights, she made it too blond, the treatment I didn't like, I felt my hair more dry then it was before, and her assistant was brushing my hair wet so hard that I was afraid i going to break, I had to ask her to be less rough. Then Armine came back to blow dry my hair, what doesn't take more then 10 min because my hair is naturally straight. Then she start to cut my hair is a very weird way brushing one side to the other open/down, and I told her all I wanted is to cut the ends and keep it straight the same way she sees it, when she was done, she blowed dry the ends again and made it curls. I asked the price and she totally overcharged me for the service she did, I mean, I been in fancy hair saloons in NYC and other places and got a decent job for almost the same price she charged me, just to give you a idea only for the blow dry she charged me $60... Go figure how much was the total price she charged me... And when I got back home and brushed my hair trying to make the curls she made at the end f my hair straight I figured she cut my hair one side totally shorter then the other side more then one inch... And the treatment she put on my hair made it very difficult to brush and very dry, I had to spend money in a beauty store to buy a product to re hydrate my hair... Couple weeks ago, I wen't in another saloon nearby it, it's almost Brand with Stocker, it's called Irene's Saloon, Vlad was the hairdresser, I told him about my experience with Capelli Salon, and he told me in the past he used to own the Capelli studio and he sold the salon, and he found out someone using this name now but they didn't have the same experience and reputation he has. And it's truth because my experience with him was the opposite, he correct my highlights doing low lights to take off the excess of blond, and he said my hair was overworked, very dry and some broke, he did a special treatment what made my hair silky and smooth with lot's of balance, correct the hair cut made it perfectly exactly the way I wanted, I left the salon with my hair looking amazing, I looking forward to go back at Irene's salon to do the Brazilian Keratin treatment, he showed me the product he had, I know it's good because I'm from Brazil. So go to the original creator of Capelli, Vlad. This Armine know nothing about hair, don't waist your money and get your hair damaged by her. read more

I had a groupon for eyebrow threading with Seda (which I am super picky about because I have a nice shape and have only let one other person do my eyebrows). I really liked my eyebrows and am so grateful I found her because she won my trust enough for me to let her do highlights in my hair for the first time at a salon ever. I have gotten so many compliments for both my hair and eyebrows. Her price was very reasonable in my opinion especially because she did exactly what I asked for both my hair and eyebrows. I love that she does a great job and doesn't take long. On a side note, my hair is dark, long and straight, not difficult to work with it's pretty healthy and she didn't ruin that about it. My hair was in real bad shape on the scale of 1 to 10 1 being the worst it was a 2. After Armineh worked her magic on my hair OMG my hair is a 10 now!
