I almost did not recognize the car when they first showed it to me. The leather interior, the console, the seats were sanitized and conditioned. Every inch of the car's interior shines brightly. Capital Detailing even repaired the leather seats that were split in some areas. The carpet was freshly shampooed and sanitized. The doors and door jambs were gleaming as if brand new. Capital Detailing restored the exterior of the car. They buffed out so many scratches and small dings. The car is now so shiny that light bounces off it. You guys known me. I am a HUGE fan of American small business. Capital Detailing is exactly what I mean when I say this. Before the weather turns towards winter, it seemed wise to get the car properly detailed. I take reasonably good care of cars (I never use anything other than touchless car washes and I keep detailing spray and microfiber cloths in the boot). That said, my car is not in perfect collector condition. With that balance in mind, I opted for the premium package ($240 for sedans). You don't have to, but the process is 3-5 hours and it is a detailer's shop, not a Starbucks. I waited. It did not kill me and I probably won't do that option again. No biggie. As a final note, it is nice that they accept all major credit cards and even ApplePay, though please bear in mind the 3% service fee is passed on to you directly on the bill. I very much appreciate the transparency and I look at it as "nice - more membership rewards points." I also tipped in cash. Yes, you are "already paying for a detail," and - I don't know...call me old fashioned - I tip when services are rendered. Take that as you will. They Got the Stains Out I brought in a Kia Sorrento with a clean exterior but a disgusting interior full of coffee and soda spills, sticky and caked in food droppings from commuting to and from school law school and no time to wipe anything up including what looked like old blood stains on the beige cloth upholstery of the front passenger seat. The manager asked "blood or chocolate?" Because if it was blood, the stains might not come out. It turned out to be chocolate and completely was completely removed. I know they spent extra time getting the stains removed, and no additional charges. Outstanding. The interior looks brand new. Great job. Was looking to ceramic coat my Lexus RC F and called 10+ shops in the DMV area for quotes. PJ stood out because he took the time to explain the process, how many coats they will put on my car and why they use CQuartz 3.0. We negotiated a fair price and his pricing is highly competitive vs the other shops. Cquartz was be applied to the entire car, rims and calipers. When I picked it up after 48 hours my car has never shined so much! The feel of my car was super slick and even the vinyl shined like never before. I found this place on Yelp. I saw that the reviews were pretty solid so I decided to take my nearly 10 year old Toyota RAV4 to get detailed. Mind you, we have dogs that we cart around in this vehicle and so I presented them with a vehicle that had a TON of dog hair all over the inside. Upon dropping my car off, they said they would do their best to get the dog hair out of the upholstery. The detailing took about 3 1/2 hours. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, it was legit like a brand new car and best of all, they got nearly all of the dog hair out of the upholstery! I was seriously amazed! I read some of the reviews and decided to use their detailing service. Most of the bad reviews focused on things other than the work but those that did, were clearly pleased. I found their response time to my email request very prompt and was able to find a reasonable time easily. While my car is fairly new, the interior did not have that rich look of quality products. The service took about 5 hours and I was extremely pleased! It looked even better than when I purchased it from the dealer. The service included the exterior, interior and engine dressing. Exceptional work on my black 2003 Mercedes ML500. I got the full detail package and it included full interior, exterior, and impressively, engine for a super reasonable price. What made things exceptional was that Capital Detailing took the time to get years of embedded dog hair from my interior and even went through the trouble of unloading and loading all my luggage in the car in order to clean it through. For the price we paid we still had to come home and take off caked on wax and sprayed on chemicals the car had all over it. We called the shop to let them know how disappointed we were they offered for us to come back and for them to fix clean it but the car had been there all day and there is no shot I'm going to trust that again. My Porsche had spent a long 15 months+ in the garage - haven't really been driving anywhere a whole lot - and when I finally got her out of hibernation we were horrified to find out that a family of mice had taken up residence! Basically, the car stank, was dusty as hell, and needed a couple of patches in the paintwork buffing by someone experienced with a clay bar to get her looking like new again. Fortunately, Capital was able to fit us in right away and I have to say that they did an amazing job. Looks (and smells) like new! Fantastic service. Not cheap, but worth every penny. When we arrived at the shop, I was BLOWN AWAY! My friend has had this car since 2015-mind you he's had the car for a while with scratches and dirt accumulated throughout the years--and when we saw the car I couldn't believe it was his. It looked brand new. From the wax, to the interior clean and shine, I mean head to toe this car was immaculately clean, so if you are considering giving a bad review regarding something OTHER THAN the work that this amazing company actually does, think twice please. If you have to stay here while they work on your car, reconsider. Accommodations in the waiting area are tolerable, but not exactly nice. There's a worn down table, a TV, and a fan. My beef was with the employee in the shop who started smoking 15 minutes after I arrived. The wall separating the office/waiting area doesn't go to the ceiling, so you'll smell all the chemicals used in the shop. I did bring it to their attention, the worker apologized and turned on another fan, but it didn't really help. I left and found a nice park nearby to sit in the shade on this hot day. The whole cigarette smoke thing just rubbed me the wrong way--especially because I'm pregnant and don't want to breathe that crap for over an hour. This was an expensive Groupon fail. read more
