When you get car repair work done, the shop will tell you not to use automated car washes for at least three months. For any of you in this part of the country, you know three months is far too long to go without a car wash. Thankfully, I have always been fastidious about my car and so I still had a trunk with all the custom detailing supplies I would need. Flagship had what I needed: self-service car wash bays where I could be sure not to damage the still curing car paint. They have a set of token machines. Bring your dollars. The card readers did not appear to be working. I got six dollars worth of tokens and that was plenty to wash a medium sized sedan. They even use warm water, which was nice. I was able to pull forward and complete my hand detail with microfiber cloths, waterless car detailing spray, glass cleaner, and tire detailing gel. My whip came out looking in Bristol fashion. Save yourself the time and sanity--go to Love My Car in Germantown. I go there about once a week and have a monthly membership. They're consistently clean, professional, and easy to deal with. I only tried this location because Love My Car is closed on Thursdays. I've also seen some pretty concerning Yelp photos of the cleaning here, which definitely made me question trying it. This was my first time here, and the experience was honestly baffling. I called around 4:19 PM to confirm they offered both interior and exterior service. The gentleman I spoke with said yes and told me I could come by within 30 minutes without an appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes later. It was raining, so I completely understand if they decided to close because of the weather. That was never my issue. The problem was that there was absolutely no indication they were closed. The sign said "Full Service Cars to the Left," so I followed it and waited behind another car. After about 10 minutes, I called the number again--no answer. I tried the website chatbot--nothing. I eventually saw around 10 employees inside a glass office, seemingly watching the cars outside, so I walked over to ask what was going on. Before I even reached the door, someone walked out and rudely said, "We're closed." I asked, "Oh, is it because of the rain?" because I genuinely had no idea what was happening. I even asked if I could ask a question, and he basically repeated that they were closed and walked away. I went inside and politely asked the woman behind the counter if they were closed for the day or just waiting for the rain to pass. I mentioned that I had just spoken to someone on the phone about coming. Before I could even finish, she said, "We're closed." Again, I had no problem with them closing because of the rain. I just wanted to know when I could come back. Instead, I was made to feel like I was somehow wrong for even asking. What really left me dumbfounded was that two customers were sitting outside--one who had driven from DC and me from Germantown--while employees were inside watching us, yet nobody put up a sign, came outside, answered the phone, or communicated anything. I left thinking, "What just happened?" I'm sure this may have just been a bad day, but first impressions matter. I was actually considering coming here regularly because it's on my way home and cheaper than Love My Car. After this experience, I'll happily pay more for 100% better customer service. And for the record, I'm writing this at 5:50 PM, and the rain has already stopped. So apparently, if it rains, they may close several hours early. I'll stick with Love My Car. read more

Yes, I'm a fan. I got the Deluxe Exterior wash. Regular price is $25, but I had a Facebook special for $10 that I couldn't pass up since I was dining across the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was just a little bit confusing when I pulled up and I wasn't exactly sure which lane to go in and of course I did go in the wrong lane. I didn't know I had to be in the extreme right lane.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However the gal worker outside directed me to the correct lane.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wash went well, no residue left behind. What I wanted cleaned the most was my wheel rims. I guess you only get a towel dry if you purchase the interior and exterior package. Very disappointing experience. I paid $36 for a car wash on Saturday and honestly wish I had just gotten the exterior wash. The interior was poorly done. The back seats were not vacuumed at all and there were crumbs still all over the front and between the seats. They did not remove the weather mats to clean underneath. There were several employees working on the car ahead of me, but for my car only one person barely blew out the dash and half wiped the windshield. She seemed more focused on watching others than working. Then two others quickly wiped the sides and left. The back was not wiped at all, the doors were still dripping, and the side mirrors still had water until I asked. I was here a few weeks ago and they did a decent job, but this visit was a complete disaster. Definitely not worth the price. Buyers beware. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]When the staff gives you unsolicited commentary as to the state of disrepair and the lack of effort ownership/management puts into fixing things, that's a huge red flag.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When they show you? That's even worse. The bay I was in was not functioning properly. I put it 10 coins which read on the display but then it completely blacked out. I went and found assistance. I explained my issue and as we were walking to my bay, the adjacent bay started to malfunction and spray liquid from one of the fittings. This is when I got a calm but concerned earful of how the ownership doesn't put money into repairs. There was a hole in the signage that covered some pipes. The worker showed me the lack of maintenance behind said sign. He pulled back the face of the machine which exposed a rats nest of wires. I'm no expert but I don't think it was supposed to look like that. He went to get a part which subsequently didn't work either. I asked for my coins back and left. I ended up going to the location in Germantown which worked (90%). The Rockville Pike location needs some serious help.​ read more

I got the flagship package and was quite disappointed in the interior cleaning despite the army of folks working on my car. I came at a non peak time so there was plenty of staff so they didn't have to rush which was why I was so surprised to see the passenger seat was not vacuumed, cup holders not vacuumed, and smudges left on the glass. I had to go home and do a proper interior cleaning. The exterior was was good and if I go back it will only be for that. read more

We are new to the area and have been to this car wash a few times. I have only used the full service (interior + exterior) and they do a decent job. The car comes out clean and they do a good job getting all the excess water. I have found that they could do a little better job addressing floor mats and the vacuuming job at the end. A couple of things to note 1) It's expensive. The cheapest full service (interior + exterior) wash is $36. If you want exterior only the cheapest is a $14 basic wash, 2) the lines can be long for the full service and exterior wash, 3) they do have the bays where you can wash your car yourself, and 4) They do not take Google Pay or Apple Pay. I really want to give 2.5 stars but will round up. read more

As a monthly account paying customer I am very disappointed with the girls who are supposed to be doing the final wipe down. These young ladies are more interested in batting their false eyelashes, running around giggling, whispering secrets and flirting than doing even a minimal amount of work. I went in for a simple car wash and paid $15.00 for a single wash. While I was there, one of the crew members approached me and aggressively pitched a so-called "promotion": $15.00 per month for three months if I agreed to sign up for a membership, with the understanding that the price would increase to $29.99 only after the three months. The first month was charged correctly. In the second month, without any notice or authorization, they charged me $29.99 instead of the agreed-upon $15.00. I went to their flagship location to address this issue and explained everything clearly. Their response was unbelievable: they told me they were "sorry," but claimed the promotion was only for one month, and that they had changed their policy. That is NOT what was explained at the time of sign-up. When I demanded they cancel my membership and refund the incorrect charge, they flat-out refused and said they have a "no refund" policy--even though the charge was clearly wrong and misleading. At that point, I had no choice but to contact my credit card company and report the charge. I'm reviewing this car wash based on the ultimate wash service. So I bought a coupon book MANY years ago. The coupon book was less than $100 for 8 washes. At that time, the Ultimate Wash was $20 per use. As for the ultimate wash service, it comes with interior and exterior cleaning and vacuuming. So I brought my car to the North Bethesda location for an ultimate wash service last week. I thought the employees did a fairly good job. The carpets were almost all cleaned up, the windows were squeaky clean, and the car looked pretty good. Granted, it's not detailing and I did not expect a detailed clean. But for what I paid though, the service for the price was definitely a catch! Nowadays, it's roughly $35-40 for an ultimate wash. I don't know if I want to pay that much for it to be fairly honest! His name was Lester, a very professional and friendly person who resolve all the problems since May when the damage occurred. When i told the person that cleaned my car that my rims were dirty she said "you want your rims cleaned?" It's literally part of the package. $38 for an exterior wash and interior service is way overpriced (guess the price went up $2 from most of the other reviews that list the price for an "ultimate wash" at $36). The outside looked okay, though inside door jambs and areas around fenders were missed. The interior clean-up was substandard and haphazard. The front mats were either not washed at all or done so poorly that I couldn't tell the difference from how they looked when I drove in. Streaks were left on the inside of the windshield. Out of the three bays I tried, two were non-operational (#5 and #6). One had a broken hose and no water, the other wasn't working at all. I bought unlimited plans for two cars. I was only able to register one because it only allows one car per phone number. So I had no access to my second car's information. I tried using their chat which would be laughable if I didn't have to deal with it. For example the alleged human didn't understand what a license plate number was. I finally got a live person today. She told me I'd need another phone number to set up my second car. How they didn't anticipate people owning multiple cars or not having multiple phones... well, that was probably intentional too. I was also billed for the renewal on the account I couldn't access that renews tomorrow. Apparently this company is hard up for money any way they can get it. There's more but basically this company is a very bad joke and a time suck.​ Customer service is as bad as it gets, save your money. I know i will. Lesson learned. read more

My wheels have no shine my dashboard still has lint from the dirty rags they continue to use. It's a hot day so I didn't say anything to the workers but this was so terrible literally not even 2 minutes was spent on my car once it came out from the wash.
