When my son was in an accident (not at fault, Dec '24), I called for guidance on how to file a claim. Only then did I find out State Farm required both the car and the driver to be insured--something Alex never explained or advised me on. I added my son to my policy in Dec '24 but ultimately filed the accident claim through the other driver's insurance, meaning State Farm never handled it. Two months later (End of Feb '25) my son moved out on less that great terms and took responsibility for the car, we had him retitle it in his name and he took it with him. We canceled our policy, but State Farm first had me sign and affidavit giving my word my son was not driving my other vehicles, then later demanded proof of his new insurance-- including company name and policy number, details I had no access to. My agent was useless throughout this process, never explaining my coverage, never offering real assistance, and only forwarding emails. When the underwriters started making demands, he gave me no advice, and his final email was downright rude--essentially telling me to take my business elsewhere. State Farm and Alex's lack of professionalism, communication, and customer care was infuriating. After years of paying into their service, I expected better. I've since switched providers, and if you're looking for an insurance company that actually supports its customers, stay far away from State Farm.

Trying to get to the bottom of it and make sure we're insured, Mario told my wife to shop with another company after she has been with state farm for over 20 years. That being said, they kept their professionalism and composure when, well, all the rest of us were losing our own and probably kept the estate from going into a probate court type situation. I asked them why premium increased and Christine Eamon's gave me some story as to why rates increased. I accepted it as fact. Fast forward to this year and Farmers insurance cold called me and offered me same coverages for less than half what this firm was charging me. They made 0 attempts to contact me over the course of 2 years except when it came time for renewal. Changed my agent a minimum of 2 times without notifying me anything changed. Made no attempts to shop my rates to other providers until I notified them I was going with another provider. Only then I received a call from the head of the office whatever his name was, telling me they were shopping to 7 providers. Offered me a 45% reduction from previous rates. Still not close to farmers. I informed him that I was extremely displeased with their service, gouged me and they didn't care about me as a client. He hung up on me. When I sent them the cancellation notice they told me it was REJECTED and I needed to provide more information. I will be filing a complaint with every regulatory body That deals with this. Farmers told me it was against the law for them to refuse to cancel my policy. POTENTIAL BUYER BEWARE!
