Cristina is amazing! she did my nails so beautifully! It was my first time therethank you

    Mary M.

I moved to New Jersey earlier this year and at first, I was flying back and forth to Atlanta, Georgia to get my nails done because I had not found a nail shop and/or spa to go to on a regular basis up north. I stumbled upon this shop one day. When I find a shop, I normally scout their work on Instagram or ask for the owner because they normally do the best work. I asked someone when I walked in who I should get my nails done by and who was the best tech. They told me to ask for Kevin. He sits right in the front and he owns the shop. # WINNING The first time I actually got my nails done, I enjoyed the conversation with Kevin and we got along great. Ever since I started coming to him he has been the only person to do my nails in New Jersey. We have developed a rapport and now I can text him whenever I need to get my services. He is by far the best nail tech I have had and most professional for the most part LOL he has a crass sense of humor but he does well in the neighborhood he is in

After she removed/ripped off the previous nails. My pinky nail was very damaged in the process and was slightly bleeding

I went to this salon today after booking an appointment. I scheduled for a "soak off" and a full acrylic set. To start with the positives, the place and environment is very nice and they have great music and my nails ended up very nice. However, the process was painful to say the least. Like I said, i scheduled for a soak off however there was no soak off; instead the lady used a cuticle scraper, an extra nail, and cuticle scissors to remove the previous nails. It was extremely painful and you could tell they didn't care about the health of my natural nail. After the nails were basically ripped off, she started the full set. I felt uncomfortable about the health of my nail and asked if it would be safe for acrylic to be put over very damaged nails and she said that the pain is temporary and continued the set. All in all, the process was very painful and after I take off this set I am going to have to give my natural nails a very long break to gain strength and health back. I'm not quite sure if I will be coming back. Because though the results are nice, the integrity of my nails were severely compromised.

Pros: Longevity of the nails/ polish quality, ambiance/ space itself, customer service and friendliness of staff, wait decent for me to be a walk in looking for full set, pedicure & eyebrows. First time customer on the day before Vday, came in without an appt around 4/5pm after a hair appt in the area. Were busy/ booked but made time for me, which I appreciated. Nails/ pedi came out nice, way they typically would for the most part. Eyebrows were the star of the show, love how she did them ($8 fair price). Would come back for a quick full set/ eyebrows. Staff was very friendly and had strong customer service, phone was dying and was in the area 10-15 mins after I left trying to get an Uber and thankfully though were closed/ closing they allowed me to charge my phone/ wait for my Uber and even offered to allow me to make a call if needed. Not all nail salons have the best treatment of its customers, especially as a Black woman, but they showed the basic human respect/ decency for your business/ personhood, all establishments should show (at least in my experience). Cons: $$ Cost. They only do gel so for all services you're forced to pay (overpriced) gel price. Full set was $55 & pedi was $35, which are both about $15-20 over the average price for these services else where, also with gel. It was last minute so I paid the cost, especially as they only work with Gel, i figured that was calculated in the extra cost & was optimistic from the appearance of the ambience/professionalism of the salon staff/ decor, that the services might be including something else beyond average for the added price. Basically I was also investing in the hope it would be superior in quality as well, aside from it being gel for the cost. Quality was in some ways a let down for the cost, you would expect to get an even better quality full set and pedicure due to the cost and wouldn't expect all the excess money to be going to gel, since gel is only $5 -10 more on average. However, for the pedicure, I feel it was low quality, she didn't scrub/ get at the dead skin how a $15 pedicure would have anywhere else. Full set also was eh, polish was nice and it did the job and has lasted now at least a week and feel it'll last a good 2-3 weeks but he didn't really do anything to prep my own nail before applying the set/ prep the nail beds so they look nice/ clear as the nail grows out. Still looks nice when you have those ppl who rush and skip this step but often doesn't last as long/ shows and looks more crusty in the nail beds sooner, than had they did better prep of your nails. Also just obviously is less healthy for your nail underneath. Nail shape on full set could've been better as well, also asked for medium, and feel these are moreso short (but maybe I could've been clearer). In some ways this seemed to be a result of them being rushed, was busy with folks with appt's and trying to walk in to get ready for Vday the next day so could be why they pedicure and full set felt subpar in quality. Got the job done, customer service was strong and location is convenient, would consider going back, for eyebrows/ full set at the least.

Came in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I was a walk in and only had to wait one or two minutes before I got seated for my pedicure. They lined the basin with a plastic covering and took the tools out of a sealed bag which made me feel better about the cleanliness. After she filled the basin with water I did find myself waiting there for a bit without knowing what was going on. Once she started working, Lina, my manicurist, suggested "dipping powder" instead of gel. I asked her if it would cost more and she said no, it's $55 for the manicure and the pedicure together, whether it was gel or dipping powder so I said okay. The pedicure was good, she cut/filed my toe nails, cleaned the cuticles, scrubbed my feet and did a little calf massage. They gave me those flimsy flip-flops because I came in wearing sneakers (which I was thankful for because I know some places charge for that). The dipping powder manicure was fine. However it was at this point that another person who works there who didn't have a client kept showing Lina memes or dog videos, which distracted her attention away from my nails. I saw this as unprofessional. My manicure was okay, not amazing, I still have some stuff around my nails that I hoped she would clean. One of my nails had a bump in the end which I was unhappy about because of the unprofessional service. After she was done with me she was right on her way out which also made me think that she rushed my nail job which could have also added to the so/so manicure. All in all, it was an okay place to go to as a walk in but I would not come back.

DO NOT COME HERE! There are better salons than this one. I paid $75 to get a full set of obre nails. After a week 4 nails came off COMPLETELY while I was putting my pants on. I went back and the owner had the audacity to say he will charge $65 to "fix" my 4 nails. Think about that. He's charging $65 for 4 nails and I paid $75 for a complete new set before. The math made no sense. He continued to say that my nails fell because they grew and I needed a fill in. 1) If my nails grew why didn't all of them fall. 2) a fill in is simply more powder on your nails. The fill in doesn't require them to glue my nail in place. Honestly the worst service I've ever had. It's overpriced and definitely not worth it. Also: look at all reviews carefully before considering. I wish I would have looked at the Google reviews better because half of the 5 star rating they received are from fake people (or maybe their own employees). You read and be the judge. UPDATE: I was willing to pay to have my 4 nails fixed, NOT a fill in just my 4 nails which I repeatedly said and the owner continued to quote me $65 for 4 NAILS. They use bad products and when you complain they do nothing but make you regret going to them in the first place. JUST STAY AWAY.

From my first visit to now... love it. Clean, professionals and always pleased with my results. Kevin is a creative genius and most importantly knows what is he doing. I constantly receive compliments on my nails. Looking for great service, fashion forward with impeccable talent... this is the spot. Wish

By far the worst nail salon I've been to. I paid a total of $104 for a full set that looks nothing like my reference picture. Gel polish wasn't even used. They charge for every little thing such as the tiny hearts... I said I wanted matte and I was told it would be an extra $10 on top of the $104. The owner also told the nail tech doing my nails to only use one coat, which left my nails streaky. I've could've gotten this design done elsewhere for $65-70, done much better. Clearly this place is money hungry and doesn't care about the quality of their work

There's no way I've ever go anywhere else to have my nails (hands & feet) serviced. I've been coming to this salon since 2009 and I am satisfied every single time! I get endless compliments on my nails even 3 weeks after they've been done. They just look that good from the time I get them done until the time I get a fill. They pay attention to detail, my request and style. They insure I have healthy beautiful nails. Kevin out does himself time and time again. I'm so glad they have social media now because it's easier to let everyone know where I get my nails done. I used to carry around business cards. That's how often I'd get inquiries. You will get honest and professional service and a look to brag about.

The owner Sammy and her husband Iqbal are EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL and really go out of their way to make you feel very relaxed and never embarrassed.. I made an appointment over the phone with Sammy and she was very courteous and accommodating. I thought it was strange at first after the booking, she asked me what phone carrier I use. I instantly found out the reason why is because my appointed was immediately sent confirmed to my iPhone, with the date, time and what I was having done. This is great! I came in for an eyebrow waxing. ( THE FIRST APPOINTMENT FOR EYEBROWS IS COMPLETELY FREE.) Upon entering I noticed how EXTREMELY CLEAN this store is.. On the shelves were bars of HANDMADE NATURAL SOAPS,BODY POLISH KITS, and some JEWELRY. I checked in and met the owner Sammy and her husband Iqbal. She escorted me to a waxing room. Again, everything was spotless! 'I COULD EAT OFF THE FLOORS." This is very important when choosing a wax place, and there's absolutely "NO DOUBLE DIPPING." The second thing I liked was she uses a type of BLUE HARD WAX. There are no strips to pull it off..Its great for SENSITIVE SKIN. The wax is kept at a perfect temperature and I never got red, like when they use the strips to pull off the wax. Sammy explained STEP BY STEP what she was doing, and music was playing in the background.. One thing that Sammy does that I found very interesting is she waxes the outer part of your nostrils ( there is a small charge.) The wax is molded into shapes this can only be done with hard wax.. I decided to try it.. I couldn't believe how much better I could breath.. I must say Sammy did a wonderful job and I am completely satisfied!!! My eyebrows look great! Sammy even explained what areas needed to let fill in.. Afterwards I decided to use her restroom that too was IMMACULATE! BARE BIZZ WAXING is the place to come for all your waxing needs.. I won't go to any other place!!
