I'm extremely disappointed, I had a taste for fried snapper for the last 3 months. I went to capital seafood because the snapper I've gotten from there has been pretty good but I will tell you they offered some that was already filleted. I thought it was convenient so i ordered it. I thought it was weird after glancing at it for a while and After frying it this is definitely not red snapper. It taste more like rockfish. Not one bone in site smh I paid $25 for this and I'm furious. This is the same mess they sell at Walmart in the frozen food section just thawed. This was definitely mislabeled.

My family and I lost our minds with the great freshness of the selection of the NC Seafood and awesome Customer Service, we beat the long lines

We purchased a bushel of #2 crabs last weekend and they cost around $240. The vast majority were the minimum legal limit and 22 of the crabs were dead. It's unacceptable to pay that much and have almost 2 dozen inedible. They don't let you pick the crabs so you have to hope you're getting what you paid for, and in this case we did NOT!

Stopped by this location to inquire about them cleaning some fish we caught at the beach the day before. The gentleman behind the counter was so welcoming, and he cleaned/filet our catch quickly. We will definitely return for more of the same, along with shopping their diverse selection of seasonings, batters and (of course) fish...

I love live crabs and they're so hard to find in Raleigh. Especially a place where you can pick the ones you want and place them in the bag yourself. As soon as you walk in you're hit in the face with a strong seafood smell. So if you have a weak stomach probably stay outside. But the seafood is fresh and the prices are amazing! Not to mention the customer service is too notch.

Great seafood selection & prices!…read more I came in town for my niece graduation at Duke and so glad I stumbled onto this place! I was in need of Maryland Blue Crabs for a Family BBQ & Graduation Celebration this weekend. I searched all around the Raleigh-Durham area and called around to several locations. Apparently, Maryland blue crabs are hard to come by and find around Raleigh. In steps Earps and so glad I discovered them. Had the best experience buying crabs from Earps! The staff was very helpful and easy to work with....ANDDD ... the prices were great.....$8.99/pound....$130/bushel. The selection was fresh mixed male and females crabs that you choose and can self-serve (pack) yourself or have them packaged for you. In addition, there is a wide selection of fresh fish and shellfish to choose from; including shrimp, scallops, clams and oysters. Forget high supermarket prices for frozen seafood. Come here and check this family owned business out. The establishment is very clean and staff is super friendly! Thanks Earp's for helping this DC- Maryland guy out --who knows good, fresh seafood and Maryland blue crabs when he see them....and these were it! The crabs purchased here were a hit. The family enjoyed them and it made the graduation celebration for my niece a success. Thanks Earps for saving the day. Highly recommend!

Special orders are even do-able if you call or visit their website and tell them, they might be able to pick it up on their next trip. Shrimp, scallops, seafood, and, on this day . . . crawfish cakes . . . The crawfish cakes were fine. I'm not sure I'd get them again, but not because they weren't good, but because they were too salty for me and after the third bite, it was too much. If that's not an issue for you, then these would be a win. Along with the those, I picked up about a half-pound of the fresh shrimp. The fish and shrimp are in coolers and they weigh them on the spot. The nice thing is being able get them in the amount that works for you -- even by the individual shrimp or by the scallop. While there are a lot of variables that go into measuring, the slightly over half pound I received ended up at 15 shrimp. It's hard to top fresh seafood and Apex Seafood & Market makes it simple. As long as you're at the Apex Farmers Market, you might as well pick up something and save yourself a stop somewhere else.
