Good drink specials throughout the week, I appreciate the infusion that these dishes provide between Mexican and Asian. I always get the sushi with a little less sauce, which always is perfect for me. It's great to have a sit down restaurant. That's also one you can order from the bar and take to go inside the food hall.

It's nice that it's located in Transfer Food Hall. I ordered the Soft and Spicy sushi based off the waitresses recommendation that it was spicy. Unfortunately it was not spicy and I had to ask for soy sauce and extra wasabi. I wasn't very pleased with the sushi like I thought I would be. Cute restaurant in the back of the food hall though!

We stopped by the transfer food hall for lunch and I decided to check out Yatai Sushi and Taco bar. I'm super picky when ordering sushi outside of Seattle, but the reviews were excellent and so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the cucumber roll and the hamachi sushi roll. I'm super picky about my hamachi because I want it to be very fresh and the hamachi in my roll from Yatai was perfectly fresh. In fact, it's the best I've had in quite a while, even in Seattle. The rice was also perfectly cooked and the staff were very nice and helpful. A couple of other family members ordered a chirashi bowl and the crispy salmon both were beautifully presented and also delicious. Yatai is a great spot for sushi. I don't give many five-star reviews but I've given two of them today in Raleigh. Both were very well earned.

This is a great spot for a girls night when you have time to spare. We loved the vibe. In the evenings it's dark and moody but in a playful, fun way. We loved relaxing and ordering drinks and food as we wanted more. The staff was kind, though a little on the slow side, but this worked perfectly for us for our girls night. They offer delicious drinks that come in fun glassware/with yummy garnishes. We specifically loved the lychee martini, the pain killer and the yuzurita. Our food was great! We loved the salmon crispy rice and the pork buns to start. We ordered a second round of the crispy rice it was so good! We also loved the pastor tacos and the "Raleigh's Best" was our favorite sushi roll of the ones that we tried. We really enjoyed our experience here and I'll definitely be back!

Yatai market is located in the transfer food hall. There is a parking lot and street parking nearby. A full service bar and several tables are available when choosing to dine in. Our server was pleasant, attentive, and helpful. I ordered the let's roll sushi for my appetizer and the chicken karaage bowl as my entree. The sushi and bowl were good. I would get them again. I also got a shirley temple. The restaurant provides free refills for this drink. For dessert I got the citrus cheesecake. It was good but my slice was very small.

The service was great. My waiter was patient as I needed time to review the menu. The ambiance here was nice and the area was clean. Yatai Market is inside the Transfer Co food haul. I enjoyed the Yatai ramen and a deep creamed sushi roll. I enjoyed them both. The ramen was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the pork belly in the ramen bowl. The pork was an equal amount of lean and fat meat. The ramen temperature should be improved because this impacts the overall ramen enjoyment for me. I advised the waiter of this and she was apologetic. I hope this feedback was shared with the kitchen. I enjoyed the Shirley temple beverage. The beverage was balanced, fresh/fizzy and flavorful. I was surprised that refills were given on this beverage. I do recommend Yatai Market and I look forward to returning.

$5 for a snack size Yuzu cheescake is ridiculous, i feel scammed. Chirashi was good tho! Customer service was great as well.

Let me start off by saying .. COME HERE!! it's kind of ducked off so lowkey a hidden gem. The drinks are specially crafted and delicious. I loved my Legend of the Dragon. Got the chicken karrage bowl and would definitely get it again. I will be back to try the sushi! The ramen broth in the yatai ramen bowl was rich in taste.

Very cool aesthetic in the indoor seating area. It wasn't very busy, so we were seated right away and our food came out quickly. For appetizers, we had the fried fish tacos -- they were delicious! For sushi, we tried two rolls, including the shrimp tempura and the tuna roll. Overall, a great spot for a fun date night or a night out with friends!

I came to visit my best friend who moved to NC and we came uptown this place and knew after some yelp research it was the go to spot for our dinner out and boy we were not disappointed! They were under staffed and they were still very attentive, drinks were very well put together and the food was phenomenal! We filled our bellies to the brim and was everything we hoped it would. Amazing night out and even better food.

Craved sushi on a Tuesday night & decided to give this place a try. Restaurant confirmed my order fairly quickly. I ordered the *human made roll and the dumplings. *human made roll could've been a little more spicy and felt like the dumplings were lacking. Even though the dumplings was drenched in sauce, the dumpling by itself was lacking in flavor

I've been wanting to try this spot for a minute, so I had some free time on Monday to check out their half-price cocktails. It wasn't busy in there and parking was a breeze. I started off with the PM sakerita ,It came in a cute glass. It was ok, not strong to my liking, then I got the crack roll which was a deep fried roll and was pretty good. I finished with a strawberry lemon drop which was pretty good , again not strong to my liking. The server/bartender was very informative and helpful considering it being my first time there. Only thing I didn't like was I didn't have chopsticks/silverware and napkins when I received my food so I had to wait like five minutes. I'll come and try this place out again on taco Tuesday probably.

We got the crak roll and the raleight best roll. Both were very solid. The crak roll was a little heavy for me personally as there's also cream cheese inside of it but was still really delicious. Our total came out to be $29.50 which I think is fair for sushi. 1 specialty roll is good for 1 person because they have a lot of toppings and sauces. Was quick. Located inside the food hall and there are a bunch of other eatery options inside. Lots of parking in the front during the weekend but not sure about during the week.

Delicious!! This was…read moremy first time having ramen, and my friend suggested we go here, and I'm so glad we did! Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! Worth the drive from Clayton, where I live.

The short rib ramen was good, but the noodles were short, like they were cut or made short on purpose. The shrimp shumai was disappointing. Small bite sized portions, but they were soft. After cutting into one, I found out that they use rice as a filler with a bit of shrimp. I've never seen rice used in shumai, unless it's Shanghai sticky rice shumai. Also got a unagi don togo, it was good, just a bit small on the portion of eel, but it's hard to mess up an unagi don.

Five stars, no hesitation…read more I heard about Sono Sushi through Resy and finally made it in. It's located in downtown Raleigh on Fayetteville Street, right next to the ABC 11 studios, easy to find and a great spot if you're already downtown. The ambiance is great and fits the food well. There's a nice mix of seating, tables along the windows looking out onto the street, high top tables, traditional dining tables, and a sushi bar if you want to sit up close and watch everything being made. It feels lively without being loud, and works well whether you're there for a date night or a more casual meal. We started with the Aburi appetizer, torched salmon belly, ooba, salmon roe, Japanese seabream, yuzu kosho, and ponzu, and it was outstanding. Everything worked together perfectly, rich, bright, and balanced. I also ordered ikura and ebi, even though I meant to order ama ebi, but no regrets there. Still excellent. We shared the Poke Roll with wakame, avocado, cucumber, mango, tuna, salmon, hamachi, and Sono poke sauce, and it was very good, fresh, flavorful, and well composed without being overdone. My wife ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it. The broth was the star, deep and comforting, and the pork chashu pieces were massive, in a good way. I went with the chicken katsu curry, panko fried chicken thigh with house curry and koshihikari rice, something I haven't had since Little Tokyo in LA a few years ago, and it tasted like home. Comforting, familiar, and exactly what I was hoping for. For drinks, I ordered the "SONO? SO-YES!" entirely because of the name, but also because I love blood orange. Casamigos Blanco tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, coconut cream, simple syrup, and blood orange juice, it was excellent. My only complaint is that I wanted more of it. My wife got the Okinawa Spritz, a play on an Aperol spritz with passionfruit, and it was even better than the original. We finished with the yuzu cheesecake. I debated between that and the ube cheesecake, but since this is a Japanese restaurant, yuzu felt right, and it absolutely delivered. Overall, everything from the food to the drinks hit. This is a place I would happily return to, and honestly, I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

What a great idea! I like to come here for one dish: the squash curry or the pumpkin curry. It's either vegetarian or vegan, so yeah, it's pretty much the highlight of the menu as far as I'm concerned. It's called the Manda Curry or Mom's Curry: Slow-cooked house coconut curry with fresh root vegetables, jasmine rice, and pumpkin. It reminds me of Vientiane Palace's Squash Curry. Upscale ambience!

We came in with some friends on a Monday to celebrate a birthday. My friend has a gluten and dairy allergy, which was actually no problem here. So if that is a dietary concern for you or a loved one - this is a great spot to bring them! We were all able to enjoy a majority of the food. My partner and I both enjoyed a mocktail version of the roselle freezy - it was amazing! Either as a mocktail or a cocktail, you should try this drink. For starters, we had the crispy chicken wings, spring rolls with veggies, and the lettuce wraps. We all enjoyed the chicken wings so much that we got a second order of them. I enjoyed the spring rolls much more than the lettuce wraps as they had more flavor to them. For dinner, we shared an order of the Manda Amphone's Curry and the chicken pad thai. I originally did not expect to be blown away by the pad thai - boy, was I wrong. This is hands down the best pad thai I have ever had. If you love pad thai, you need to try theirs. I also thoroughly enjoyed the curry. Both dishes were rich and flavorful and came with enough to share between 4 adults. Overall, not having been to Bida Manda in 10+ years, I was impressed and will definitely return.
