I love the range of food options in there. The space itself is amazing architecturally, rife with modern elegance that preserves a sense of history. I was delighted to stumble upon Captain Cookie & the Milkman, which I hadn't seen in about a decade since I last frequented its (possibly original) DC location. Che's Empanada's were so filling, delicious and satisfying! I've been twice since I found out about it a few short weeks ago, and I look forward to returning to try food at every vendor! Love the variety and the lunch vibe of this food court/hall. Lots of good options if you want to meet for lunch and have friends who like different cuisines. You can dine inside or out. There is also a bar at one of the establishments (not sure about hours). There is even a cookie shop! :-) Some people mentioned that they ordered food and then headed to the Burial Beer next door but I haven't checked that venue out yet. read more

Love the variety, the staff working the cleaning were quick but the tables are extremely sticky. I don't know if this is from the clear coat on the table or it was just lack of cleaning solution. You have so many options, it's a great place for all pallets and food restrictions. Lots of room inside and outside the building. Each place we ordered from had amazing staff. All were very sweet and each place offered a military discount, except one but that's because we forgot to ask not because they don't. Great place for groups or get together with friends. The food hall has plenty of choices from Vietnamese to Mexican to bagels to ramen. There is even a unique bar that serves cocktails in cute cups. Overall, the food is a bit pricey. Transfer Co Food Hall is thee place for groups, dates, meet up with friends. They got community tables, child booster seats, self serve water stations, restrooms all collectively under one roof. I was torn between wanting to try several stalls so their options are great. I went with Bul Box and did a build my own bowl to which you can pick a base, protein, sauces, toppings, and garnishes. Their mango boba was made expertly and the food took no more than a few minutes to whip up. I got to try a few bites of a bao bun stuffed with karaage and hot sauce and sushi from another stall and it was an explosion of flavors! Next time I'll try the Indian food and empanadas. Great place for some authentic restaurants and the food is delicious! Unique place, not too big, but also not overwhelming. They have several cuisine choices, including sushi, Indian, ramen, sandwiches, some to go only, and even a real butcher shop with some amazing meat choices. Each restaurant has its own dining areas. Nice food hall in downtown Raleigh! They have some good options with my favorites being Bul Box and Dank Burrito. They also have sushi, burgers, and Indian food along with a few other vendors. I like that it's usually never too crowded here and I've never had trouble getting a table. The main downside is that it has way less options than Morgan Street Food Hall and it is expensive (seems like the prices just keep going up and up). I would definitely recommend to anyone that's in the area! read more

Raleigh has a couple food halls. Transfer co. probably the best one out of the 3. Outside parking has more space and options. Interior space is better to accommodate more people. It used to be an old garage I think and the developers transformed it into a food hall, therefore the aesthetically different than just a brand new building. You can smell all the aromas from each food front and literally start to drool especially the Indian food We honestly couldn't stay long but I definitely wanted to stop in and see what kind of food was inside. We stopped at Che empanadas and Captain cookie to get some goodies before hitting the road. The pollo empanadas was really good the brisket however had a lot of fat which for some people they like me personally not so much. Overall really good flavor. Captain Cookies and Milkman!! So cute the colors pop for the business and who doesn't want milk and cookies at anytime of the day?! We got a six pack but my kids ate them up before I could get a picture but I save one the double chocolate which was delicious. Our son and his wife invited us to lunch while we were in town for a few days and we were treated to the Transfer Co. Food Hall! The vibe of the hall is upbeat and modern and the friendliness of the restaurants was amazing! We started at the bar with a couple lunch cocktails, the Queen's Manhattan was my favorite! We then spread out and conquered, each of us opting for something different! It was all delicious and fresh and cooked up quickly even though they were very busy! I had one of Mama Crow's salads and couldn't finish it, it weighed a ton! The choices seemed to be endless, there's definitely something for everyone's tastes! The empanadas at Che were great 1 get the corn and the kale and mushroom. I got the samosa chaat but to be honest it was a bit bland, wanted a bit more kick and it was Luke warm. There is very nice seating outside in the back, but you can't take any of your beers from burial pit there. read more

We came here for a corporate happy hour and I had a great time. The ambiance of the food hall was exactly what I imagined - a brick exterior facade giving way to a modernized converted garage and warehouse. I had a beer on tap, and sampled a couple of vendors. The empanadas at Che Empanadas were delicious on their own, and my tacos with a side of chips from Dank Burrito were also satisfying. With food and drinks, I found myself gathered around one of several barrel tables, chatting away with coworkers while munching and drinking. Had lunch at Mama Crows at the food hall. Service was terrible, 15 min to place an order and over 15 minutes to get food. On a bus tour so had to hurry. Only ordered grilled cheese and fries. WORST IVE EVER EATEN. How can you ruin a grilled cheese. Bread was put on grill sliced in half, NO butter, the put on On the bread nor bread grilled together with the cheese on. The cheese was old lace with some kind of chunk cheese that did not melt. The bread was driednout and crunchy and the sandwich disnt even stick together. HORRIBLE FOOD. DO NOT order ever. Fries were cold and greasy, worst lunch I think I've ever eaten out. Will not eat there or the transfer hall again when in town. read more

Amazing spot for a varied group of folks with a varied interest in foods. You could bring vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores here with no worry about them finding both something to eat and a place to sit. We tried multiple empanadas (pollo was my fav.) tacos (amazing), burritos (shrimp was killer), and spring rolls (which I did not care for). I have to say, Raleigh has something with the idea of a "food hall." Forget food trucks! Portland, ME need to follow suit. People sharing a space and not having to be the sole owner/renter/tax payer in an ever increasing property market. I came here for the second time during the week. The first time I came here was a Saturday evening pre-pandemic so you can imagine how packed it was. This time, not so much. I walked in and perused the space before deciding on a meal. I opted for a drink from the bar during my stroll. As always, the bar service was outstanding and the drink was wonderful. I ordered the Heaven Down Below. It's Mezcal-based and was the perfect balance of sweet, smoky and strong just the way I prefer. Absolutely delicious!! I grabbed food from Bulbox (which I'll talk about in a separate review) and sat out on the patio and enjoyed the perfect weather. This is a great modern space to hang out anytime. So I finally made it to Transfer Co. Food Hall! What a superb spot! I'm loving the vibe and variety of offerings! I stopped by on a weekday, which made it really easy to find parking right next to the building. The food options were just right, I'm sure you will be able to find something for everyone that you bring along. There's even a booth in the middle of it all to grab some drinks. Can be a bit pricey but it's definitely for the food hall experience! This is officially my new favorite food hall in the Triangle. I can not wait to return to try everything! Like most such places, it is housed in some old industrial-looking building, a symbol of changing times and gentrification. The mix of vendors is local, yet diverse. I found a relatively Carolinian burger and salad place, but also empanadas. I picked up some bagels, and rather wished I'd had room to try some Indian food. There were plenty of choices. Stations labeled "water" were blocked off; I don't know where you'd get water but this kind of thing annoys me. I was also a bit miffed that the Asian noodles weren't vegetarian-friendly; normally food halls are pretty good about catering to all diets. But it doesn't matter that much, because if you're willing to spend, you can certainly find something good. read more

Horrible service at Mama Crows today. The greeting cashier wasn't pleasant. She acted as if everyone was aggravating her by ordering. I was never greeted. I paid $1, and getting barely 2oz of product is really not acceptable. They also gave me the wrong product. When I questioned it, he then gave me less product than the incorrect product and cold fries. I waited over 5 minutes for fries that were sitting there ready. In the meantime, I watched the white male kitchen staff come over to argue with the black male kitchen staff. The whole scene was upsetting. I waited for fresh fries. Trust me, I will not return. We absolutely love food halls and always seek them out when traveling. A friend recommended this one to us when we were passing through Raleigh. Covid-19: all of the restaurants we tried have online ordering and payment. The inside of the hall had no one in it. There are tables on the back patio and they were very crowded. We were about to eat in the car, but then we found a couple of tables on the front side of the building and no one was on that side. We went all out here and sampled 4 different restaurants (way too much food). We got an zataar egg sausage bagel from Benchwarmers, a pork belly burrito from Dank Burrito, spicy tan tan ramen from Bul Box, and a Crow Burger from Mama Crow. Everything was absolutely delicious. If I had to rank them it would be: Benchwarmers, Bul Box, Dank Burrito, Mama Crows. Don't take that to mean Mama Crows wasn't good though. It was a delicious burger, just the least unique of all of them. We love getting to sample many different restaurants at a food hall and this one didn't disappoint. I stopped here several weeks ago as I was driving across the state through Raleigh. I found another restaurant on Yelp that I wanted to try, not realizing it was a part of the Transfer Co Food Hall. This place was so cute all around! There are about 6 or so little restaurants food court style within this facility. There are a lot of tables and chairs for dining indoors and outdoors. Beer is available too. This would be such a fun place to go back too and to bring a group of friends with a diverse palates. Great find! read more

Really nice place to visit for lunch/ dinner. We decided at the last minute to skip our usual haunts and venture downtown. My husband had been here before, promised that I could find something to eat. First off, love the industrial look and the decor. A lot of seating, including signs that let you know tables have been cleaned/need to be cleaned. Masks provided, too if you forget! Hubby chose his usual, seafood. He got the fried oysters and a crab sandwich. I opted for a salad and fries. He oohed and ahhed over his lunch. Said the seafood was extremely fresh and delicious. I liked my salad from Mama Crows but I did make changes to the menu item as the salad had a few ingredients that I dislike (avocado and blue cheese). Salad was very good and huge, brought most of it home! Fries were delicious. I rarely eat sugary foods (or sugar at all) but I wanted to experience an ice cream cookie sandwich. Captain Cookie and the Milkman is DELICIOUS. Huge ice cream sandwich, fresh delicious cookies. Enough said! We brought 1/2 dozen home, too. Easy to park here today, might not always be the case. Yay for a food hall where you can actually park for free, get close enough to each vendor to actually see what they have to offer, and even find a table to sit down and eat! Where are we? In a bigger city? No, just outside of downtown Raleigh. Love the choice of vendors...there's a nice variety. Burgers, Seafood, Indian, Asian, Italian, Mexican, Beer & Wine, and Bagels (open limited hours). The Hall is clean and easy to maneuver around. Even a friendly Gal who picked up Husband's empty dish for him. Oh, and nice bathrooms too! Maybe we got lucky that they weren't too crazy crowded, being early on a Sunday evening, but I do know we have yet to get lucky at the other food hall. We will be back for sure. Soon! read more

It is awesome to see this sort of food court taking hold in Raleigh. I've been to the one on the other side of downtown and I won't try to say that one is better than the other. They're both awesome. Good seating, lots of options, free wifi, fab foods. Transfer has burritos and bagels and seafood and beer and barbecue and empanadas and burgers and even an oyster bar.
