Prince William OBGYN: "When was the date of your last monthly cycle." ME: "I don't know. I haven't kept very good track since weening my daughter." Prince William OBGYN: "Well I need a date before I can schedule an appointment for you." ME: "I told you I don't know. Would you like me to make one up?" REALLY?!?! Seriously! I know I am not the only woman who doesn't circle dates and the only one who was not back on a regular schedule after nursing her second child. I had really wanted to keep this practice. I had liked the fact they are all women...but REALLY! Then when I did go in and saw a nurse she rushed me out without addresing any of my concerns. I hear doctor Ng and Liao are much better! Bye-bye PW OBGYN. Hello Dr. Ng and Liao!!!!!

The only thing I liked about this practice was the very nice receptionist I spoke to when setting…read moreup an appointment. It was my first time at this practice, and the lady I spoke to initially got me into a quick appointment in Gainesville, then when they had to call and reschedule with me due to a doctor's family emergency she worked around my schedule to get me in at the Manassas office on the same day I so that I wouldn't have to rearrange my work schedule. That's where it ends. When I got to the office, I knew I was about 15 minutes early but once at the front desk they asked me, "You know you're very early, right?" Apparently the appointment was for 15 minutes later than I thought it was ( so I was 30 minutes early). So I waited. And waited. While I waited, they called me up only to ask if they could collect my $50 copay (I didn't understand why since my insurance covers an annual exam 100%, meaning no copay. I later called them to have it refunded to me.) They finally called me back a good 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment, meaning I'd been sitting in the waiting room for about 50 minutes. I waited quite a bit more for Dr. Gutliph to come in. She was okay, nice enough but I got an inexplicable feeling of being patronized. Maybe that was in my head. The icing on the cake was the bill I got in the mail asking for an extra $22.29. I called my insurance who told me I was billed incorrectly - they billed both a routine exam AND an office visit. I called the practice to inquire, and they explained to me that because I presented the doctor with an issue I was having, that part of the visit was considered to be outside the realm of the standard exam. The receptionist even admitted to me that "most people don't know that". You think?? I'm certain most people assume they are visiting the doctor for a checkup to ensure everything is in good shape, and that if there is a problem the doctor will help them out with it without slapping an extra fee on for it. I definitely won't go back here. Too many strikes in just one visit.

    1. The receptionist is WAY too overwhelmed to be the only one running the front and that office…read moredefinitely needs more space for as busy as it is. Dr. Khan is always overbooked so there is always a bit of a wait, which is ok considering she is popular and she is the only provider other than her assistant PA. This visit however, they overbooked so much they forgot to check two patients in (one being me) upon arrival. I signed in like I was told, had a seat, and had been waiting there for over an hour thinking they must really be behind, while other patients were skipping ahead of me because the doctor didn't know I was there since I did not get checked in. During this time, a young pregnant patient had an issue and loudly expressed her anger, caused a scene, and left. From there, the receptionist became very unprofessional and talked bad about that patient to other patients. She mentioned to them that the angry patient would probably be dismissed from the practice and that is what happens when children have babies. Now, I do the same job as what the medical receptionist does where I work, but I would NEVER talk about a patient with other patients, one because of HIPAA... hello a little privacy! And two because it is unprofessional and makes the practice look bad. Now I'm thinking, what do they say about me when I leave the office? 2. Good luck getting through via phone. The phones seem to always be down and you get an answering service stating the office is now closed.... during business hours! 3. They have a sign on the door stating only the patient is allowed in the waiting room which would be awesome considering they only have 6 chairs, but yet they have dads, kids, grandma's, aunts, uncles and whole families in there taking all the space so actual patients have to stand. They need to reinforce that ALL guests wait OUTSIDE of the office until the patient they are with is called back and limit guests to ONE per patient. Seats are for patients ONLY. These are pregnant women and people with issues who need to be able to sit and not stand because a guest is taking up space that the office does not have. I really want to give this place a shot, but so far I'm not very impressed with what I have experienced. I really hope they see these reviews and try to do better in these areas.

I made an 8:00am appointment because I anticipated having to work the same day. I am a new patient so I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork that I expected to have to fill out. Come to find out they open at 8:00. Why would you make an appointment at 8:00 if you didn't expect me to want to be seen at that time?. The lights weren't even all the way on as I awkwardly waited for the receptionist. Once I filled out my paperwork I was seen fairly quickly and the Doctor was actually really great. She was super informative and great bedside manner. Due to her being so helpful I will return in the future for my womanly appointments.

These doctors really take their time with their patients; no matter which doctor you see, they're all in the know (for instance, during both pregnancies I saw each doctor several times - not just one doctor the whole pregnancy). Scheduling is easy, the front desk staff and the nurses are friendly and helpful. I've met several mothers who use this practice and have never heard one single complaint. Sometimes it can get a little busy in the office and they can get a little back logged, but that's to be expected of any doctors office. If you're looking for a good, solid, trustworthy OB/GYN check out Lake Manassas. Trust me!!
