We only asked whether the prescribed testing could be done in one day to avoid repeated appointments and time away from work. It is troubling that a simple scheduling request was falsely reframed as a request for fraud. Your response speaks for itself and reinforces the concerns described in our review. We stand by our experience. Initial Review: We came to Dr. Fadi Sharara's office based on a recommendation from a physician we genuinely trust. Given our similar Lebanese backgrounds, we expected an experience built on communication, understanding, and mutual respect. From the beginning, Dr. Sharara spoke with confidence. As professionals ourselves, we believed that confidence would translate into clear guidance, thoughtful medical care, and a well-managed patient experience. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. During our appointments, we felt rushed and treated as just another case. Consultations were often approximately 10 minutes, with very limited explanation of what he was evaluating, what the findings meant, or why certain recommendations were being made. We did not feel that we were given the time or information necessary to understand our own medical situation. On one occasion, we were asked to undergo an in-office intervention without being properly informed that it could be painful. There was no meaningful discussion beforehand about what to expect, no advance warning regarding the level of discomfort, and no pain-management options or medication offered. We trusted the doctor and proceeded without understanding what the experience would entail. The pain afterward was severe enough that I had to go home and sleep for the rest of the day. It was upsetting to go through a painful medical experience without adequate preparation, informed consent, or basic support afterward. We had three separate visits in an effort to understand our situation and our options. From our perspective, the recommendation seemed to move immediately toward IVF, without a meaningful discussion of potential intermediate steps, further evaluation, or alternative approaches that could help us make an informed decision. When we sought additional information from the office, we were repeatedly told that Dr. Sharara was too busy to speak with us or provide clarification. It was difficult to understand, especially because communication and patient education should be central to a fertility practice. Patients should not be left guessing about their diagnosis, test results, or treatment options. When we requested our medical history and test results, we received handwritten documentation that was difficult to read and interpret. In 2025 and 2026, patients should be provided clear, legible records and a proper explanation of their medical information. We called multiple times seeking clarity, but the office was unable or unwilling to provide the answers we needed. What was most disappointing was the overall lack of empathy and respect. Fertility concerns are deeply personal, emotionally demanding, and financially significant. Patients are not simply cases to move through a practice. They deserve time, transparency, professionalism, and humane communication. I held off on posting a one-star review because I do not enjoy criticizing people publicly. I much prefer writing five-star reviews when professionals provide excellent care. But after the money spent, the time invested, and the emotional energy involved, we left feeling heartbroken, uninformed, and dismissed. My husband and I are both professionals, and we guide our own work with respect for the human being in front of us. That same basic respect was missing from this experience. She claimed to prevent osteoporosis with a FemHeart and then mocked me by bending over like a 90-year-old to walk out when I had it by late 50s and sent me down the hall to her doc friend who practiced his golf swing in my appointment for drug infusions. She knows nothing about weight lifting exercises that prevent it. An acquaintance won a lawsuit for punctured uterus and intestine about which she lied to the ER that she caused which misled their care.

If you are concerned about your age, weight, fertility, etc. do your self a favor and find someone else who will be kinder and less fat phobic. She's incredibly unprofessional and rude. I especially do not recommend seeing Dr. Hersh if you are struggling with infertility, have PCOS, or are overweight/obese. On my first visit for PCOS she painted the absolute worst case scenario for fertility, telling me I would likely need to spend up to $50,000 on IVF to conceive my first child if I don't lose weight. This was before reading any of my medical records or talking to me about my concerns. I'm all for realistic information and don't want things sugar coated, but Dr. Hersh was thoughtless and hurtful. Further, I'm 34 and she told me I needed to freeze my eggs asap or else my kid would be more likely to get a host of terrible genetic conditions. I got several other opinions and they were all much more fact based on risks and said at this point my husband and I didn't need to worry about freezing my eggs upon actual medical testing. They were so much more positive and kind. Dr. Hersh also did not give me any warning before putting the clamps in during my appointment. Also the nurse couldn't figure out how to draw my blood and it took many mess ups and a supervisor to get it out. Of course it sometimes take a few tries but this was not normal.

My obgyn gave me a referral for this office towards end of December. I called today to make an appointment and the woman who answered the phone gave me a really hard time. She stated " well I don't know why but you chose to wait almost a month to make an appointment.". What she didn't know was that I tested positive for Covid the day after I received this referral and was home sick the last two weeks of December and then we had new years. This was the soonest I was able to schedule an appointment. She then told me I would be lucky to get an appointment anytime soon. After placing me on a brief hold, she told me there was availability at their fair oaks office at the end of January. I told her I would take that appointment and then I asked her what would be taking place at this appointment and she responded by telling me we were doing a genetic screening. At this point I realized I was speaking to someone who had no idea what they were talking about lol. My referral was for an ultrasound because my regular obgyn doesn't have as high of a tech ultrasound machine as this office. I asked her if this visit would include an ultrasound and she said no it's not an ultrasound it's a sonogram LOL. She also told me she's not a medical professional and cannot tell me what this visit will entail. Please if you work for this office, educate this woman. She has no idea what she's talking about. I ended up meeting with their PA at the MD office who was nice but ignored signs that I had lost a substantial amount of blood due to my condition (headaches, shortness of breath, excessive paleness) and should have received medial treatment. When I asked if my headaches were a concern, she just said visit your PCP. When I did that the next day, my PCP admitted me to the ER for 2 blood transfusions due to excessive blood loss. While this office is great at resolving issues surgically, I do not feel they are appropriate at initial consultations for concerns. It is best to see a general OBGYN and then see this team for specialized surgeries through a second consultation.
