I hired Capitol Barricade to put out signs blocking the street for me before I arrived in Sac. They were one of the four recommended vendors by the city after I got the permit, and they were the only ones that called me back. So kiddos to them. They got me a quote within 24 hours. The bulk of the price was in the delivery of the two folding boards, over $150. Wow, so pricey. For that price, I would have picked them up and dropped them off myself. When I called to say they were ready to be picked up sooner, they said they'd come and let me know when so I could get a receipt. They never called me, and luckily I don't need a receipt. Props for actually calling me back and being very thorough and relatively reliable. In the future, I'd probably create my own signs and avoid the $200+ cost. read more

The ordering process is crazy, then tbey want you yo pay in advance and if that was not enough , they want you to pay a 4% credit card fee. They are happy with their city and state contracts. I picked up some poles for a customer on 9-14-2021. Inspector says poles aren't up to city specs as they're too thin. So customer finds new poles and we wait to return them as we have receipts. Me and the customer go today (10-22-2021) to return the poles and they won't return them as they say we "cut" them. Mind you they've been sitting in back of my truck since I've picked them up, and I have an 8 foot bed. Manager says they don't sell 8 foot poles, but only at customers request. At this point it's not even the money for the poles that bothers me, but more the Prinicipal of not even leaving an option to even try to make things rights. Horrible service. They were out in Placerville directing traffic while we were visiting our relatives and we did not know that we needed to wait for a car to come lead us out of the driveway and when we went down the road the guy driving the lead truck yelled at us cause we were just trying to drive home and told is to stop. We stopped like he told us to then he proceeded to get out of the truck and yell at my husband some more in front of our three kids in the back telling him that he needs to follow directions. He was yelling at the top of his lungs and so loud to where other cars on the road witnessed it and said that was uncalled for and it was rude. We are obviously not from around there and did not see the sign that he was talking about. It was pretty excessive to get out of the car to continue to yell. He got his piece out and said what he wanted to tell at us he got back in his truck and drove away. Our kids were terrified in the back seat. (They are small children) He was also using profanity which we keep away from our kids. We then get to the next stop where the guy was holding the stop sign and my husband asked him for their company name. The guy was very reluctant to tell us and all he kept saying was he only works for the guy in the truck. It wasn't till I pressed the fact that it's pretty pathetic that he doesn't know the name of the company he works for. He finally gave us the company name. When we proceeded to look up the company phone number he got on his walkie talkie telling the guy in the truck that he's got some distractions here and we were more than 20 feet away from him and no longer taking to him. He then proceeded to take a picture of us. My husband got a hold of someone at the company that said he is a manger and we reported the incident and he said he would talk to them about it. I really hope he follows through cause that is no way to talk to people no matter what the situation is. Especially since the guy driving the lead car is the manager of that site. read more
