Otherwise I would have waited till the next morning to get my truck. Outside of all that, the team was great. Did everything they needed to do and got my car ready by the end of the day. Oh I also got this car in April, the car itself is amazing but their process is terrible, I should've known better when the salesman was mentioning a mistake they made before that caused the customer to lose their car - something about Ray Skillman not turning in their paperwork on time, still a weird thing to mention during a sale. Their receptionist hung up on me as I was asking about my license plate, so really there is no professionalism after a sale. Not sure if all Ray Skillman dealerships work this way but a family member had a similar experience earlier this year at another location, so best bet is to avoid Ray Skillman, it's crazy to think I had an easier process at a local dealership than at a big name one.

As a wheelchair using driver, it's not particularly quick or easy to identify an appropriate vehicle that will meet my needs. I don't drive a van. I typically have driven a 2-door automatic, however, it has to have enough room between the driver's seat and the door frame that I can put my wheelchair, when folded, in the backseat. When I was younger, these were easy to find. These days? Not so much. I first called Ed Martin Honda as I was curious about a used Honda Civic. I'd had a Civic before, but cars change over the years and I wanted to make sure. I was transferred multiple times trying to find basic answers about the vehicle. At one point, I simply asked if they could measure the space I needed to know about as I'd been able to determine how much room I needed. It was really basic customer service, and they just wouldn't do it. Majorly dropped ball. Somewhat on the flip side, I did an in-person visit and the sales rep definitely went out of the way to let me try a couple of the vehicles. I was definitely impressed, and there was a definite effort to try to think of vehicles that would actually work. That was good customer service, though we didn't actually find a vehicle. For the record, I ended up buying a Honda. If that original associate had been more helpful who knows what could have happened? I learned that both the Civic and the Accord would work (coupe versions, so slightly older). I ended up with an Accord that I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. This was a solid mid-range experience, though somewhat disappointing given I've generally heard great things about Martin's customer service. Phone call? Disappointing. In-person? Much better. Overall, I'd still probably return for future needs.

BUT, these folks are definitely *not* on my hate list. They are, without a doubt, the exception to the rule. Our salesman was Caleb and he was really great. 1 STAR - Extremely Disappointed With Indy Hyundai | Loyalty Clearly Means Nothing…read more I honestly wish I could give zero stars. This is my THIRD vehicle purchased from Indy Hyundai, and after everything I have experienced, I can confidently say that I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from this dealership. I am extremely disappointed--not only with the problems I have experienced with the vehicles, but even more so with the way I have been treated as a customer. With my previous vehicle, I experienced multiple issues, including water leaking into the trunk. Despite bringing it to their attention, no one could tell me why it was happening or properly resolve the issue. I also had more than three faulty tires replaced and experienced problems with the windows rolling down. I take exceptional care of my vehicles, so these were not issues caused by neglect or poor maintenance on my part. Despite those experiences, I continued giving Indy Hyundai my business. In June 2026, I purchased a brand-new vehicle and traded in my previous one. The salesmen were very nice during the purchase, and initially, I felt good about my decision. Then came the problems. From the beginning, I had issues getting Bluelink properly set up and connected to my vehicle. For an entire month, I did not have access to a feature that should have been available with my brand-new vehicle. At the time, I couldn't understand why there was such an issue getting it set up. About a month after purchasing the vehicle, I finally got an answer--but certainly not the one I expected. The dealership called and informed me that they had GIVEN ME THE WRONG VEHICLE and that I needed to return it. Yes, a month after I purchased it. Suddenly, the problems I had been experiencing with Bluelink made a lot more sense. For approximately a month, I had been driving a vehicle I purchased believing everything had been handled correctly, while also trying to figure out why I couldn't get Bluelink properly connected. By this point, I had also already paid out of pocket to have the windows tinted. I did everything I was supposed to do as a customer, yet somehow their mistake became my problem. Because I had already paid for the tint, I expected the dealership to make that right. They offered to tint the replacement vehicle, but I was told the tint they could provide would not be the same as what I had already paid for and had installed. I didn't think it was reasonable for me to have to accept something different because of a dealership error that was completely outside of my control. I requested reimbursement for the tint I had already paid for and was assured that I would receive it. It is now September 7, 2026, and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REIMBURSEMENT. I even told them I was willing to come directly to the dealership and pick up the payment myself, yet they proceeded to mail it anyway. Months later, I am still waiting for money I should never have had to chase in the first place. Unfortunately, after finally receiving the correct vehicle, the problems still didn't stop. I noticed condensation inside the headlamp and brought it to their attention. Instead of taking my concern seriously, I was initially told it was "normal." After going back and forth, I was then told it was a minor issue and that they simply needed to order a part. Except that wasn't correct either. Ultimately, they discovered that the issue required replacement of the ENTIRE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. So something I was initially told was "normal," and then described as a "minor issue," actually required the entire headlight assembly to be replaced. At this point, my biggest problem isn't simply that a brand-new vehicle has experienced issues. I understand that problems can happen with any vehicle. My problem is how Indy Hyundai has handled those problems. I have repeatedly felt dismissed, minimized, and made to feel as though my concerns weren't important. I should not have to continuously push, question explanations, follow up, and advocate for myself just to have legitimate concerns taken seriously. I also have to acknowledge something that has become difficult for me to ignore: I can't help but wonder whether some of the way I have been treated is because I am a young woman. I know what I am experiencing with my vehicle. I should not have to fight to be heard or be made to feel as though I don't understand my own vehicle simply because I am a young woman. I purchased a BRAND-NEW vehicle expecting reliability and peace of mind. Instead, I have dealt with dealership errors, unresolved issues, incorrect information, delays, and an overall experience that has left me feeling like my business and loyalty simply don't matter. This is my THIRD vehicle from Indy Hyundai. Three vehicles. After continuing to give this dealership my business despite previous issues, I expected to be treated like a valued and loyal customer. Instead, I feel like I have been treated like an inconve

Searching through vehicles available at O'Brien Toyota, which was a preferred dealership, I was able to find a Lexus NX 200t. I called ahead because I wanted to make sure that I understood the process once I actually went into the dealership and I spoke to Chris Larson. We set a time for Saturday for me to go in and take a look at the vehicle, test drive it and then also decide if I wanted to proceed with the purchase. Initially I wanted to change the day to Friday but Chris was off and offered to come in on his day off but I told him that wasn't necessary and we did move it to an earlier time on Saturday. When I arrived, the sales guys let Chris know I was there and he had pulled the car out front so once we did the initial stuff, we took the car out for a spin. I did notice a few things like some gunk on part of the dash (that they cleaned off) and there is some kind of residue on the display that they weren't able to get off that I have to address. As with any dealership, they told me they'd send my info to other financers to compete and hopefully give me a better rate. They did get me a slightly better rate through Toyota Financing so I went with that lender. The next step was the financing and for the most part this was ok though I found the process to be more stressful than anything. There were optional coverages that were presented to me and the finance guy, Kyle I think his name is, made it a point to mention that tires were expensive (duh) and that I could cancel if I later decided I didn't want the coverage. Only issue is canceling the coverage doesn't reduce your payment but it gets taken off at the end of the loan. Once the finance stuff was done, I was congratulated for getting into debt and not for my new car which I felt that was a weird thing to say. Also the finance guy needs to keep tissues in his office because he had sneezed a couple of times in his hands then used hand sanitizer to clean them which is wildly unsanitary. Overall, it was an ok experience. One thing that I'm now having to figure out which didn't come up while I was at the dealership is that the Bluetooth in the car doesn't seem to work and there's a chip in the windshield that I didn't see and wasn't pointed out when I was there. It's my own fault, I guess, for not doing a thorough enough inspection. Thanks to Chris for taking good care of me and being so nice and making this big purchase a pleasant experience. I'd have rated higher if some things had been tweaked and if they had taken sone time to clean out the glove conoartmentnof the previous owners documents. Next time I'm in the market for a vehicle, I might consider this dealership again.
