I was looking for a used daily driver, and found the perfect car at this dealership. My sales rep Karen was very easy to work with - no pressure, organized, and attentive. After doing PPI, there were some minor issues with the car which they rectified ahead of sale. Marcus from the service department stayed on top of everything and made sure I was taken care of. The only reason for 4 stars is that there was a small hiccup with the financing fee that took a bit of time to resolve, but the dealership manager was very professional and made it right without hesitation, which I appreciate. Service across the board is really lacking at this dealership. This was the 2nd time I made a service appointment and stressed both times I need a suv I have 3 little ones all 3 in car seats! They brought up a TLX no all wheel drive with this inclement weather on top of it and basically told me oh well they can promise a suv loaner. I worked as a service manager and business development manager in ca for 10 years so I know the business. You can absolutely hold a car for a person who needs a certain car you just have to care and do a little work. On top of that I've call service several times left a message for the service manager and was on hold for her as well with no call back for several hours! I finally called and left a message for the GM, when I got home someone else's key was In my cup holder? I called service they would just pick up put the call on hold several times so idk. If they would call back or pick up the would know I have someone else's key. I'm sure they are looking for it because there is a car they can't move! I have a full day and can't bring the key 35 min out of my way again but I've tried all morning to get ahold of them and let them know. No half measures! I got my wife a new 2017 RDX from Ed Martin Acura in late 2016. Mostly no problems until 2021 when I noticed on a mountain enhanced road trip that the car would "hunt" or have transmission slips on inclines. Took it back to EM Acura and they said I needed the transmission fluid flushed to the tune of about $225. Later a friend was having the same problem with his 2017 Honda Ridgeline (very similar engin & tranny), but the Honda dealer told him there was a known issue with the 2017 transmission and did a software and service update at no charge. I was a bit miffed at the time but considered it water under the bridge. That is, until my transmission problem returned in September of 2023 while on another rolling hill road trip. This time I found the Technical Service Bulletin about what Acura is calling a "transmission jitter". Date of the bulletin was in 2017. So, dealer service should have been aware of the issue when I took it in 2 years before. But, now it is out of warranty and they wanted over $600 to preform the service that should have been offered 2 years prior, when warranty was in effect. Well, after some heated conversations and voice mail to the service manager, I was told they would preform the software and service update at no charge. Ahhh, finally getting it right. So, yes, Ed Martin finally serviced my transmission properly (I hope), but when we got the car back the second key fob wouldn't work. By now I was exasperated and I had my wife make the service appointment to get the second key programmed. She was there for about an hour and was told the key was no longer working and we would need a new fob. Strange, since this key worked fine before the transmission service. After doing some research online I took both keys and RDX to Kash McQueen Lock Service (which I highly recommend), and they tested the fob, found it to be in working order, and had it programmed in 10 minutes for $50. I waited a few weeks to calm down after this "goat rodeo", but eventually went back to Ed Martin to get reimbursed for the cost to reprogram the key. Service rep made copies of all transaction receipts and said he would pass on to service manger and someone would contact me. No word, 2 weeks later left VM with service rep., no word back, called a second time and left VM again. Today, still no word, so I went back to dealer and their response was that there was no way they caused the key fob problem when they reprogrammed the transmission (even when everything worked fine before the transmission service and locksmith had it reprogrammed quickly) and that they would have charged me more to reprogram the key then what I paid. So, go pound sand! Ed Martin's series of half measures will cause me to look elsewhere for my future service needs. read more

I bought an Acura 2020 TLX in March 2024. During the warmer summer months I noticed the AC struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature on hot days, and the fan was making a moaning noise and the fan speed was erratic. I knew that my warranty was expiring in October, so the first week of August I called and scheduled the earliest available appointment which was 9/5/24 @ 7:00 am. I made it clear to them when I scheduled that my warranty expired in October. I was told that they would need my car for several days, and that a loaner car would be provided. I showed up on time for my appointment and as soon as I was pulling into the service garage, a service person called and said there was a conflict with the loaner car. I got out of the car and the service person explained that there were no loaner cars available and that I would have to re-schedule. I again explained that my warranty expires in October and his sarcastic response to me was "Nothing like waiting until the last minute!" Well this made my blood boil as this was my first experience/contact with this dealer/service department. I immediately explained that I had made this appointment a month in advance, and that I had only had the car since March. I have rescheduled for a later date in September, but I left completely unimpressed and disappointed, especially with the service person that I dealt with. I'll give them a 2nd chance on my next appointment but stay tuned. In the meantime, do better Ed Martin Acura Service Department. Rest assured I will not deal with the same service person again. read more

He was zero pressure, very knowledgeable with Acura's and gave great suggestions on other makes within their network. I had a rental and to save me trouble he picked me up and brought me over to Acura on the day I was to pick up my new car. Will not only represents Acura well but he gives his entire industry a good name. He was friendly, professional, communication was on point, and his customer service was incredible all around. I leased a new RDX from this location a few weeks ago. I have been more than pleased with the car. They let us take it overnight before we committed to it and worked with us on our trade in. I even got them to add a heated steering wheel without an up charge. I shop for new cars. I do not just go in and get the first one I drive. I conduct my own research and drive several different cars, different brands etc. Acura, Honda and Audi were fantastic to do research with. Ford was great for the test drives, but the cost was crazy in comparison to the luxury brands. The only reason I docked a star was how long it took to get the paperwork done. They put the wrong name in the system for my husband so it took longer than expected. read more

This dealership is extremely disappointing. Not only was my car buying experience from this dealership awful, but I have had multiple services at this dealership that have been subpar. Let's start with car buying: 1) My husband and I bought a car there that was used as the "show" car, an RDX with all the bells and whistles. Shortly after we took it home, we realized the car had damage to it, that was not disclosed to us on the outside. The damage had been painted over in an attempt to hide from whoever purchased the car. I complained, by writing a letter to Ed Martin President, and they fixed the cosmetic damage, and returned the car to me a COMPLETE mess. Not to mention, during the car buying experience the finance manager attempted to finance through ED Martin and give me a 7.5% interest rate with an 800 credit score and told me that was the best he could fine. When I pushed back he magically found a 4% interest rate? The whole experience soured my taste with Acura, and we ended up trading in the car a few months later and losinga huge amount of money on it. 2) We had a free acura oil change from the terrible car purchase experience so yesterday I called to make an appointment where the service person said that an oil change doesn't need an appointment and we would be in and out within an hour no matter when we brought it in... my husband took our now Honda Pilot in at noon today, and just called me at 2:50 still sitting there waiting for it. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me at this dealership. I would ABSOLUTELY NEVER recommend purchasing or servicing a car from this location. I received the most blatant, disrespectful and unsatisfactory Customer Service experience from Sales Manager S. B (initials). Apparently there could have been an honest mixup on the information I received over the phone when I called "twice" in the last month to ensure with COVID19 of there hours of operation and the need to make an appointment to return my car. However I was told over the phone paperwork should take around 10 minutes, just come on in and see a Sales Associate. NO appointment needed we are open M-F 9-6pm and Sat 9-6pm The day I finally went into the Acura - Ed Martin and ask to see a Sales Associate I was directed to speak with S.B for assistance. I explained to S.B, I was here to return my Acura the lease ends today. He immediately stated, "We do not accept Lease returns on Saturday", "You have to have an appointment," "We are extremely busy I have no one to even help you." At no time, as I stood within 6 feet of S. B did not even try to resolve the matter "MAYBE".... "I am sorry for this misunderstanding or inconvenience let's make you an appointment for this coming week "OR "can I see your SGS inspection paperwork, get your full name, schedule you for appointment, apologies for any misunderstanding and help you resolve this situation." "HE DID NOTHING" I'd say he had another underline issue with me (???) but let's just take it as he was having a bad day... I was completely shocked and applaud of how I was being treated and his demeanor. He was completely disconnected from reality and his actions. Horrible experience post-purchase. Long story short, I have been attempting to receive a refund check on the extended warranty we purchased on our now totaled leased car. We have been getting the run-around for SEVEN MONTHS. I've called over a dozen times, left messages, submitted documents, etc. The refund may only be $200-300... it doesn't matter. It's the principle. My time is money, and Ed Martin Acura has wasted my time and refuses to refund my money. I didn't want to have to leave a poor review, but at this point, im beyond irritated by the lack of consideration for buyers post-purchase. I was injured in the accident that totaled the leased car, and the last thing that I expected was to have to call the dealership constantly for a refund that is rightfully mine. I purchased a Lexus truck to replace the totaled Acura, and so far, my experience with Lexus dealerships has been much better. read more

I set up an appointment over a week ago for Wednesday September 30th at 11 am the guy who set up the appointment told me they would do some tests and let me use a loaner car. I wanted to go here because I wanted a face to face talk with the people in charge of Ed Martin. I requested that morning off and had an evening shift with work then off the a sudden I received a call on the 29th that they can't help me. The person in charge said they did not have the right equipment. They knew what type of car it was when I set up the appointment over a week sooner. Why didn't they call me sooner I lost hours from my work. Later that day Todd Johnson called me and he said he didn't want any other dealership involved. I set up an appointment at a mechanic almost three weeks from now. I hope I have enough for a rental car because it will take a few days with all of mine repairs. read more

BEWARE ACURA Buyers ....Do Not Trust this Dealer's Management!!! Typical bait and switch tactic that dealers are notorious for employing. Only giving them a 1 Star because Zero doesn't appear to be an option. I was in the market for CPO Acura and signed up to receive alerts when a new listing posted through the AcuraCertified.com website.  When the first listing that I received matched my criteria was sent to my email, I immediately contacted my salesperson and told him I was interested in purchasing the vehicle.  I then immediately filled out the financing forms through the dealer website to further secure my true intent to purchase the vehicle.  The salesperson took some pictures of the vehicle and sent them to my cell phone so I could see the actual condition of the vehicle and further reaffirm my interest in purchasing it. Then, a couple hours transpire and the salesman calls me back and tells me that the price is actually $3000 (close to 10% higher) more than the price that was sent as an alert to my email from the AcuraCertified.com website.  I sent the salesman a snapshot of the original email with the price being $3000 less and he claims that the management at the dealership didn't consult with "Corporate" before the listing went active or some other BS. This is the type of situation that gives all car dealers a bad rap and I would sincerely advise seeking a vehicle elsewhere as the management at Ed Martin is not trustworthy and displays these type of bait and switch tactics!  FALSE ADVERTISING AT ITS FINEST.... read more

The staff at Ed Martin is incredibly attentive and realistic, and honesty goes a long way in the car business! I didn't purchase my Acura from this location but I have used this dealership for maintenance. It's never fun to sit and wait for maintenance on your car, but at least they try to make you comfortable! This dealership in particular has plenty of drinks, snacks, magazines, and WiFi to keep you busy as you wait for your vehicle. I know for longer maintenance waits they do have a rental program or the staff will drive you somewhere. read more

My wife just got charged $105.00 for a EGR valve diagnose. Let me repeat: this people plug in a handheld diagnostic computer to tell them something that I knew before hand and charged her $105.00 for 1 minute of work. On top of that they want $395.00 + the $105.00 to replace the valve (total $500.00 + taxes) for something that I can get done for $232.00 (including free diagnose) pretty much everywhere We had 3 acuras, 2 of them bought at this dealership We will not be coming back, and I suggest you check with the service department before you go, because they will charge you for showing up. read more

Service Dept: I have been taking my 2004 TSX to Ed Martin since I bought it used in 2007. I always schedule and appointment and are usually able to get me in within a couple of days. I did have the alternator go out and they were able to replace it the next day. Some things are a little odd, such as, when I was having A/C problems, and thought it was the compressor going bad, they said they've never heard of issues with the TSX compressor, but when you Google "TSX air conditioning compressor" there are thousands of hits and the saga of the "black death" and a link to the class action lawsuit for reimbursement of expense associated with the problem. Something I would expect an Acura dealership to know about. Recently, I had the car in for the 120K mileage check. There were some mix-ups around when the car would be ready and such, but not a big deal. When I picked up the car, the rotors and calipers were painted BRIGHT silver. Ick. While someone may have thought that was better than the rust that was on there, if they had told me they were going to paint them, I would have asked for black, or for them not to waste their time. Makes me wonder what else they were doing without my permission. Also, now that I'm re-painting them black, the paint that was used was very low quality and is giving me fits on trying to cover it up. read more

We have had 2 issues this year in which repairs didn't last and we were told that the coverage had expired---less than a year but no coverage on repairs?!? About two months ago, I purchased my first Acura from Ed Martin -- a certified pre-owned 2008 TL. After 15 years of driving (and loving) Honda Accords, it was natural step up for me. The sales experience and followup were very professional. No high-pressure tactics and my questions were always answered promptly. The only aspect of the sales process that I was a little put off by was the pressure applied to purchase a long-term warranty. A couple of weeks ago, I took the car in to Ed Martin Acura for an oil change, which was the first service I had performed on it since the purchase. The waiting area was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed and I also appreciated the professionalism of the service staff and cashier. The complimentary car wash was also a very nice touch. The only complaints I have regarding the service was the length of time it took (nearly 90 minutes for an oil change early on a weekday afternoon) and how painfully slow the internet access in the lounge is. Based on my initial experience the service department at Ed Martin, I'll definitely be back (but hopefully for routine maintenance only... lol). read more

Purchasing an RDX from Ed Martin Acura was the WORST car buying experience of my life with Will Fitzsimons, Bryce Toll, Ed Parker, and Gabe Greene. ! I purchased a brand new 2020 Acura RDX ASpec nine weeks or so ago. I estimate that it was in one shop or another for repair a large portion of the time I owned it. As a result, between my total loss in confidence in the 2020 RDX ASpec and the awful service I received at EMA, I was forced to sell the 2020 RDX ASpec earlier this week at a huge loss! In my opinion, the only thing worse than the new 2020 RDX A-Spec is the service you get at EMA. The latest issue I'm having is getting the correct amount of my tire and wheel protection refunded to reflect when they were given notice, not when they processed it. My appointment to purchase the vehicle was cancelled a very short time prior to my arrival because Bryce told me they were too busy, and Will had another delivery during that time. Once I did purchase the vehicle, it was up to me to figure out that the $500 deposit that I put down on the 2020 RDX ASpec, did not get applied to my contract. I was told not to worry though, it would get applied to my GlassCoat..... Upon delivery of the vehicle, there were several stains located throughout the back seat. When I told this to Will, he said they would be taken care of when I had my GlassCoat applied. To his credit, he did try to fix the stains with a product he had in his office though it did not work. The car handled/drove very poorly, there were rattles all over the place and there was a ton of brake noise! When I show up to have GlassCoat and I believe my tint applied (their tint person only is there one day a week), Will walked into the service bay and told me there was a scheduling error and Tyler was to have called me to tell me that they did not have a loaner vehicle ready for me so I must bring it back another day. Below are some of the issues I found myself having to deal with. I was told the GlassCoat wouldn't be applied until the stains on the back seat were fixed. Fast forward to when I pick the RDX up after multiple trips to EMA and Gabe Greene giving me his word that the stains would be taken care of before I picked the vehicle up, the stains were still there! Unbeknownst to me at the time of purchase, there was a bulletin out for the 2020 RDX ASpec I purchased telling dealers that there's something causing abnormal brake noises. Another Acura dealer told me that there is not a fix at this time, and you must go on a waiting list once a remedy is given by the manufacturer to have it repaired! EMA replaced my OEM brake pads and rotors with OEM brake pads and rotors, and the noise is still present! Another Acura dealership told me that until a fix comes from Acura, the sound will continue to exist. EMA found my RDX ASpec to have a tire balance issue and then found it to have 'flat spotting' issues on its tires which was causing the vibrations and thumping noises I was experiencing. Once balanced, and then ultimately swapped, the technicians 'were unable to duplicate after tire swap.' EMA was still unable to properly fix.' The 2020 RDX ASpec had rattles all over the place! In fact, I ran into two other RDX owners who also complained to me of rattling noises, at two different places. After multiple attempts to repair, EMA was still unable to fix. Finally as a result of my belief that EMA was unable to fix the issues on the 2020 RDX ASpec given their previous failed attempts to get it right, and the disrespect I felt from Mr. Greene, I contacted Acura Corporate and took it to another dealership. Gabe did offer to come and get the RDX again after I contacted corporate but I felt it was better to get a 2nd opinion at that point since EMA told corporate it was fixed. See the attached invoices and judge for yourself whether my concerns were fixed by EMA after multiple attempts. WOULD YOU WASTE YOUR TIME OR PUT YOUR TRUST IN DEALERSHIP THAT HAS FAILED YOU SO MANY TIMES? read more
