It is good to know there are still a few good dealerships around! This group, has always treated me well. Once an Audi/Porsche dealership, I used to take my Audi's here before Audi moved out. The sales team were great, and always invited me to events, kept me up to date on new cars, etc. I had my newly purchased car in to look for an issue, on a CPO'd car. Arrived ~ 8:30, grabbed some great coffee and a bagel, and did some work. Less than two hours later, they told me they had found a small leak from the water pump, had ordered the parts and worked with me on when I could bring it back in for the repairs needed. Awesome communication, great work discovering the issue, and ordering parts in advance of the bringing it in for repairs. Fantastic in scheduling the service around our schedules. Offered to wash the car too. Gave me advice as well on how to ensure the interior is cleaned, as I have Alcantara. I had been a TW customer for more than a decade but no more. I took my Porsche in to have a fault code diagnosed. I was told that a control module was defective and given an estimate total of $1813.13 not including their apparently standard $40.00 shop supplies charge. I ordered the part at a price of $1007.25 and made an appointment to have it installed with labor estimated at a little over $800.00. To summarize what happened next, I researched the part online, price $558.56 with a list price of $691.60. I had TW parts department make the price adjustment saving me $480.10 on the part, then I picked up my control unit and took it to Porsche of the Village in Cincinnati and had it installed for a total labor charge of $350.98. Saving me over an additional $450.00. This should be against the law and represents what a dishonest dealership looks like. read more

Dropped off my 2018 Porsche Macan for its 80k service, along with a note to replace brake sensor (light was on) and check a loose ring behind the rear view mirror. Expected same day service. Dropped off after hours for 8 am service 730 am Received text from service tech requesting response thru text messaging 11:13 asked how it was going 11:19 service tech said he was "finishing the paperwork." (strange-I didn't even get a report) 1 pm I texted asking what was done and how much heard nothing for the rest of the day. 7 pm texted informing that I never heard back 730 next morning I received this text Sorry Tracey I was doing online classes and just saw this. It was an oil change, wiper blades, heating and a/c filters, transmission fluid exchange, engine air filter, safety inspection, and the brake sensor. The total came to 2463.47. Let me know if I need to deliver it or pick up. Thanks! And the mechanic didnt bother to look at the loose ring behind the rearview mirror. i asked when the brake sensor would be in, only to discover it was already in, but they didn't bother to install it. I asked what the $1225 for $80k was (plus another $1400 in items) and was told it was for 7 hours of labor. But according to the first service tech the work was done in less than 4 hours. Disappointed by this experience I then noted that the service tech said I had stated that my heat system wasnt working, which was untrue. I decided to ask my neighbor to install the brake sensor but asked Tom wood to tell me which one. Hilariously, I lef a message for the service manager and asked for him to call me with the location for the brake sensor. In the meantime the service tech left a message saying it was "missing" from the front right (it wasn't missing.) The service manager then called to tell me it was missing from the back right. In the meantime, while awaiting their answer, I googled the part number to find the Porsche MSRP was $37.35, but I had the privilege of dealing with Tom Wood's clearly competent team and paying $99.75! I'll be taking my car to Reggie's Autoworks from now on. Unless I need it cleaned. Then I'll take it to Tom Wood. Because they may suck at communication and their service department doesn't give a rats ass about service, but their cleaning crew gets 5 ! read more

I bought a 90's M Roadster sight on seen here. Stopped by to hopefully find a GT3 or other long-term collector car. Got a fair price for both parties, nothing to rave about. But, the salesman was really nice in letting me drive it home, put it on my lift, and inspect it. Sure, it's just a $25k car, but still. Likely, the car would have been auctioned/sold to another dealer due to its price point; I bought it within hours of it being traded in. If I recall, they even let me take the car home while the bank transfer was pending over the weekend. Regardless if the details, I was happy with the buying process and thought they were very supportive and gave a great customer buying experience. No ancillary crap like extended warranties or paint protection plans were snuck into the paperwork. See my past reviews too. Summarized: I've left my contact info several times for a GT3 or GT4 and have never been called but rather just get spam emails. I found out they have got some collectors in stock and end up auctioning them to out of state dealers for 10-20% less than what I would have paid, plus they'd be growing an enthusiast community locally versus sending cool cars out of state and just pedaling depreciable Cayennes and Macans to soccer moms. Their shop rate is absurd too; if your Porsche is not under warranty, absolutely take it somewhere else. They're VW, nothing fancy to work on... Nor are modern supercars/exotics even much different than any other production car now-a-days. Stopped in to look at a 997. It had been sold but they'd taken a 718 in on trade earlier that day. To any review that says the staff treat you different if you don't pull up in a 100K+ car, I say bull. I drove up in my plain Jane Toyota Corolla airport car. I was immediately greeted by two sales reps, told the car I was there for had been sold, and asked if I would like to leave a list of what I was looking for. I was wearing street clothes and by no means looked like I was there for anything but a joy ride. They'd taken a car in earlier I was interested in, and I ended up buying it. They threw new tires on it and sent me out the door with the best used car buying experience I've ever had. If you want to own a Porsche, come see these guys, they'll make it happen. read more

I was looking for my first Porsche in the Midwest and after exploring 4 different Porsche dealerships I ended up buying locally, in Indianapolis, which I'm very happy about. I've heard a lot of good things about Tom Wood Porsche staff and this time around I personally experienced it. First, big kudos to Lee and Richard - they were both amazing throughout the sales process and took great care of me. I didn't absolutely hate signing Brad's endless papers either, hehe :) Car buying is a stressful thing in general and they made it as easy and enjoyable as possible. Zero pressure. You feel like you're truly a valued customer which many other dealers state but often fail to deliver. Second, I've got a great deal both on my trade-in and Porsche I chose to buy. There wasn't anything better in the whole country (ok, maybe one car, but it had a weird color combo). I was expecting great deals only from non-branded dealers, but was pleasantly surprised here. It has been a few days and I can't enjoy my new car enough. It's amazing all around. I drove an Audi before getting a Porsche and loved it, but this thing is next level. What's more important, Lee and just about anybody from Tom Wood Porsche are very approachable and are still helping me with questions and other requests, even after the sale was closed (which rarely happens with other dealers: typically, after they get your money nobody picks up the phone). No big deal, we take it over to the local smog shop I've taken my last three cars to, it sits there and passes. A really nice older fellow with a V8 swapped Austin Healy raved about the Yellow Cayman S while we were getting it smogged! The smile it put on his face when the engine roared, now that was special and a memory I'll treasure! (His V8 swapped Healy was an awesomeeeee looking ride!) History time! My husband and I both know how to drive a stick, the first vehicle that I drove with a stick shift? A Peterbilt Semi Truck, where I also learned pre trip inspections to check for wear and tear on the vehicle We've had the Cayman S for a couple days at this point, the clutch is feeling heavier than it should, which was mentioned by the dealer beforehand (You know, after the signing of the paperwork, and having the CPO dropped from the VIN? Great job service department! We were traveling, had tire issues on our Panamera. They not only helped us to get our car there, (NO spare tires in the Panamera, found that out the hard way!) loaned us a nice car to use while they waited for the tires to come in, and kept us updated. Then, I forgot my sunglasses in the loaner car which I didn't discover until we got back home several states away from Indiana. I called and they found them in lost and found. When they found out they were prescription glasses they paid to fedex them to me with insurance. Thats awesome enough, but when we opened the box they had also sent us some cool Porsche swag. This is better than we were treated by the dealership in Florida where we bought the car! You guys are awesome! If we buy another one, we are driving to Indiana to do it. read more

Joe called to apologize for the wrong doing. He asked what it would take for me to remove the review and make me 100% satisfied. I stated that I wanted reimbursement of the $850 for having the calipers done correctly. Joe came back with an offer of $400 for the wrong doing and removal of my review. I told him for 100% satisfaction I wanted what I paid, $850. Joe apologized that they did a bad job but would NOT come up to $850. I did not take their offer. This experience of buying a used car from this dealership has not been the best. My temporary tags expire on December 26th and it's December 24th. With the holidays happening I'm positive I will not have my license plate by the 26th. For this to be a luxury dealership, the service has not been that great. Brad expressed that he would send me the tracking number of the overnight package to S.C. DMV but i haven't received anything. 3 days later, I'm still waiting on the tracking number for the paperwork being sent to S.C. THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING HERE!!!!! I bought a used car from here a month ago. Last week the car started smoking. I had to have it towed and get a diagnostics. Come to find out the alternator went out due to oil leaking on it. And the suspension needs replaced (as well as a list of many other things). So I called and told Porsche what happened. The person I spoke with definitely knew what had happened and wasn't surprised at all! They told me I bought it "as is" and they won't do anything to help except tell me where to get cheaper service. I understand I bought it "as" is but it has only been a month. You guys need to take responsibility. You sold me this car with a lot of problems. Taking advantage of people especially on this economy is not cool! I know someone who works at another Tom Wood and he said where he works they would have at least helped with the majority of repair cost. You guys really messed up and screwed me over. I'm a business guy - I get these two facts: 1) It's Porsche so they have a small handful of buyers and a lot of lookers. 2) This is the only Porsche dealer in central Indiana - the next closest one is in Fort Wayne. So for every serious buyer, there are probably 99 lookers. And this is the only Porsche dealer within 100 miles so take it or leave it. Done. My experience on the sales floor tells me they are filtering the lookers from the buyers by stereotyping people - how you look, how you dress, etc. I came in in my shorts, t-shirt, and sport sandals (it was warm out) and was very quickly put into the "looker" bucket - the salesmen were curt bordering on condescending. I was clearly rudely interrupting the Solitaire and Sudoku they were playing on their computers. The culprit is a manager there (based on their website) and not some newbie. Maybe I should have told them I currently own a Porsche, two BMWs, and two Infinitis and I'm not the borderline homeless bum that my shorts, t-shirt, and sport sandals may make me look like (or at least as interpreted by Porsche salesmen). I don't even blame them for their filtering. If you worked there and 99 out of 100 people are just lookers, you'd start to filter them out as well. They have the right to filter lookers from buyers; I have the right to describe my experience as one of the filtered lookers. The problem for Tom Wood Porsche is something called "The Internet". Buyers don't have to buy from the local dealer. They can buy from almost any dealer and have the car delivered. The local dealer still has to perform warranty work, if any. Filter out the wrong lookers who may be buyers and they may just order from Fort Wayne or Cincinnati. And the online reviews can be killers. It's 2017. I don't put on a suit to shop somewhere just so I am treated seriously. read more

It always seems to take 3 to 4 weeks at a minimum to get a car in for service they rarely have any loaner cars available. I have had issues with warranty parts never being called when they arrived and taking 48 hours for repairs when I was told it would be done in the same day. they don't have enough garage space or service techs to service the amount of porches in the Indianapolis market. That is why I am thinking of switching brands to someone with a better service department. read more

I purchased a used vehicle from this location. Initially, and up to the financing, everything went pretty smoothly. However, once the documents were signed and financing was completed, it went south. The sales rep could not give me an exact date of shipment/receipt date for vehicle. My first payment was coming due and no car or word regarding when it would be. My husband called and offered to come get the vehicle and they could pay him the shipping fee. The response was "no, we cannot do that.". The next day, the car was miraculously scheduled to be picked up and said to be here within a week. No exact date or contact info was provided to me. I received my vehicle within the week as stated. First, the delivery driver car wanted me to pay him????? Then I get all of that worked out and the car is dirty and the gas tank is just barely above empty. I did not have temporary plates, so I could not drive it. I contacted Brad Roberts and he was very reactive to my concerns and overnighted my temporary plates. I was informed by Brad, and I quote, "I have David Pelizzari (your salesperson) and Jordan Roe (Used Car Manager) working on the solution for your detail. We'll get your squared away!". I have yet to hear anything from the sales rep or the manager. In addition, here I am almost two months later still awaiting plates for my vehicle. Texas returned the request due to the fact that Tom Wood waited more than 30 days to send the request. Therefore, a penalty applied and more money ,$128 and some change, was required (according to Carmen Hutchersonson). Carmen stated on June 28th that she approved for that to be paid. However, and two plus weeks after that, the local registration office has not received the payment. read more

I purchased a 2016 porche cayenne s and when we received the car from the shipper there were immediately issues with the car. the compressor for the shocks as not working and there was a message saying not to drive it, the passenger door had no less than 20 door dings in it and the paint on the hood was damaged due to bugs not being cleaned off quickly enough. i purchased this online and spoke to the sales agent, they gave no indication of this. luckily i purchased the warranty and sent it out for repairs (the closest Porsche dealer to my place is 3 hours away). after a few weeks without the car it was back. within 500 miles the rear main was leaking, during the changing of that it was discovered that a turbo was bad and the problems have persisted since that day. The warranty company has paid over $30k (about 2k out of pocket) in repairs on a car worth about 26k. after owning it for 2 years i have only been able to put 3500 miles on it because it has been in for repairs most of the time and the transmission just went last week. Definitely do not trust the sales staff there and make sure you go personally to check it out. I have purchased several cars sight unseen and have rarely had an issue from a luxury dealership. So far, this has been the best Porsche dealership we've been to. The facility is very open and clean. They provide complimentary beverages and snacks. The staff was patient and friendly. We purchased a used vehicle there for a very fair price and traded in a Boxster as well. The process took a little longer than usual that day due to the fact that they were short on staff, but overall, it was pretty simple and easy. I am consistently disappointed in all of the Tom Wood dealerships and the people who work there. I have purchased 3 new Audis in the past 5 years, and for 2 of them I drove 2+ hours to a different dealer to buy my car. Tom Wood Porsche Audi has employees who are excessively demeaning and rude, and they are always difficult to deal with. The backhanded comments and their extreme impropriety are baffling! In one of my experiences I went in to purchase an A4 I had taken for a test drive and they told me the car was "sold." I asked them to find one with similar specs, and they claimed that there weren't any left and instead tried to show me some they had on the lot. After calling around on my own I was able to locate a car that matched my specs at a dealer in Naperville, IL. When I was filling out paperwork the salesman in Illinois said it was funny that I'm from Indianapolis up there buying the car because the car I was buying had just come from Indy only days before. He showed me the documents in the glovebox saying that it was from Tom Wood Audi. They lied to me in a similar manner with another Audi I attempted to buy last summer, so I ended up buying that one elsewhere as well. The service department is also difficult to work with. Every time I have my car serviced I have to call and follow up with them at least 3-4 times to find out the status because it is never ready when they promised it. They always "run out of time" to take it through the car wash for me after it is serviced which is also slightly agitating. Apparently they are so successful in their car sales they can continue to behave the way they do with their customers. While I will continue to be an Audi customer, I will not even attempt to engage with Tom Wood Porsche Audi to purchase my cars in the future. read more

This was the most painful and stressful situation I had ever had to go through in my 30 years of purchasing vehicles, whether in-state or out-of-state. Due to a lack of information provided, whether original documents, warranties, tags, etc., I had to manage the entire process meticulously. Paperwork that was supposed to be sent overnight for next-day delivery took 2-3 days to arrive. They informed me that I had a certified warranty, but they never sent me the warranty contract. That was something I had to keep track of. I am glad I did because the contract clearly states that you cannot rely on the salesman's word. A lot of time was wasted back and forth on information that was never provided to me, and their excuse was that "they were really busy trying to get information quickly" or the famous line "I'm new." That does not excuse having a process or a checklist in place to ensure everything is handled correctly and professionally when making a large investment. When the car was delivered to me, it had not been detailed, cleaned, or even vacuumed, and it had less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Furthermore, the car was shipped with no temporary tags. I paid for a vehicle, had it delivered, and could not drive it for a few days until they FEDEX the tags a few days later, therefore, I had to request the tags to be emailed to me. This was clearly not a five-star service. After a while, I began to suspect that this was done on purpose. There was no type of concession made in exchange for any of this. Their word was no longer trustworthy to me. I could go on and on but will stop here. You get my point. I am writing this review based on my experience with their service department. This place is full of incompetent mechanics and rude/irresponsible managements. Here's what happened. 1. Scratches were left on my car's interior panels after I got the interior panel reassembly service from Tom Wood Porsche. 2. Their service department refused to admit that it was their doing, arguing that the scratches somehow magically appeared but they will fix them for my customer satisfaction. 3. I visited them once so that they can fix this, but some of the scratches were still remaining after the treatment. Also, one rubber part of the panel had gone completely missing. 4. I visited them once more and this time they repainted a number of panels newly. 5. However, the painting was done with a different color. It's very visible. 6. In addition, I found that a part of the interior panel was just broken. 6. Now the service department is refusing to reply to any of my emails or getting any of my calls. I wonder whether this is a proper way of doing a business. read more

There I was. In front of the Porsche dealership with my daughter's overheated Chevy Cruze. It had almost seized up and she was late to a job interview. I drove up so she could take my car to the interview and now I was stuck in front of this fancy dealership. I walked in to tell them why I was parked in the guest parking spot, to apologize and to tell them I would get out of their hair as soon as I could. The nice lady at the front desk offered me a water or a coffee while I figured it out and Barry Wickliff walked out with me to see if he could help. I popped the hood and he noticed that the coolant cap was loose. He went and got some water to cool the engine and put the cap on tight. He was pretty sure I could make it over to the Chevy dealership across the way to have it looked at. I thanked him and got in the car to review the warranty details from the glovebox. But wait; there's more. Barry came back out to check on me. When I told him I was checking the warranty he invited me into the dealership to his desk and he helped me sort through the paperwork and even called the dealership where we purchased the warranty to get more information. I'll be honest. I was nervous to go in to the Porsche dealership as those cars are a bit out of my price range. My brother and I bought 2 Porsche cayennes, one turbo and one S from tom wood Porsche last week. They were very professional, under promised and over delivered. The complete opposite of what you expect from a traditional car dealer. We took our 2013 Audi Q5 in for an oil change. Their employee drove the vehicle without oil. They destroyed the engine. They said they would make things right. Their actions spoke louder than their words. They did not make thing right. They took advantage of us. This cost us thousands of dollars due to their mistake. They are now selling the vehicle and not reporting the damage that was done. It appears to be a normal vehicle with no issues. Not a business we would recommend. Brought my 2009 audi to have the window replaced after it was bashed out by a burglar. They installed new window improperly and the weather panel is folded on itself and blocks the window from rolling up or down properly. Don't trust audi dealerships after dealing with them. read more
