They called me a…read morefew days later and told me the unit had been tore down and that is was in good shape but requiring a new 3rd gear set, speed o gear, seals, and a general overhaul. I asked them to include a new clutch and pressure plate as well. Not only did they complete all I asked, they had the flywheel re-surfaced, painted the entire unit and did all this for a more than reasonable price. This is the second transaction I have had with Clark's and have referred them to others. In this day and age it is difficult to find the professionalism, quality, cost and timely attention that Clark's provides. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone needing ANYTHING transmission related to call Clark's!!

That's on him. ⁣ We received no notification of the tow, and had to track the car down. This company - AATCO Transmissions and Towing - charged him the unreasonably high price of $285 towing + $35 storage for the day. ⁣ To be clear I'm not complaining that he was towed, and we would have been fine paying a reasonable fee, but that price gouging for a 1.5 mile tow of a Subaru Outback is criminal! ⁣ I asked to negotiate down the price and they were unwilling. The part that got under my skin the most although was the excuses and lies. ⁣ "I can't make those decisions." "I can't call the person who does." "He doesn't read texts." (A tow company that doesn't take calls or texts from the office. Really?! ) ⁣ The owner was finally called, and he did answer the phone. After their complaining about how difficult it was to move a Subaru Outback from an otherwise empty parking lot (yeah, read that again) they dropped the storage fee. ⁣ After this, we contacted Nampa PD (should have started there) to see if they reported that they towed the car. They are legally responsible to do so. PD had no record of the car being towed (even though AATCO told us they did report it - another lie ) So, I guess they basically stole it! ⁣ And I'm not alone in complaining about this. When we arrived Matt was very courteous and my son was very honest about the codes he was getting from the car's computer. Matt said, "No problem, thanks for the info, we'll look at it" About 24 hours later we received a text that unfortunately the codes on my son's car needed to have it go to the Dealer. I had a feeling but I'm glad it was confirmed by actual techs. We picked up my son's car yesterday and Matt was once again there and explained what the techs did and how they came to the decision for it to go to the Dealer. My son paid nothing for their time. I felt we were treated with respect and given an honest assessment of what was the issue. We've booked an appointment with a Toyota dealer for this coming week. I was very impressed with the care, communication and transparency of every aspect of our interaction with Matt at AAMCO.
