Just want to leave a review so the next person doesn't have the same issue I am having. Had my truck transmission rebuild 8k miles ago. So ya I have put some miles on it, so I started to noticed my rear main seal start leaking. So I called the shop and they said that they inspect the seal and if it is not leaking they don't replace. You would think for how expensive it is to rebuild a transmission they would include or make it a high priority to change a $40.00 seal when slapped back together. You would also think that they would use OEM spec or equivalent metal boot clamps for the transfer case. See attached plastic zip tie picture. They have gone above and beyond to help us and make things as quick and easy as possible! Service 100/10 Lance specifically was absolutely wonderful and helped us out so much. Price: 10/10 Unfortunately, transmission issues are not cheap but I called a lot of different spots for estimates and they were the best price by far!! Quality and speed: 10/10. I live a few hours out and instead of taking over a week like most places said it would be, they got it done in two days. Took my car in for a problem w/ the automatic transmission's flex-plate. They had to remove and replace the flex-plate as well as tighten some bolts on the torque converter. As part of this they performed a "transmission service" which I'm told is a fluid flush and filter. After I got the car back it started leaking transmission fluid.. a lot. I found some pan bolts loose which I accepted as heat cycles causing. I noticed leaking from the linkage seal. I contacted Boddy's and they said bring it in. The linkage seal was bad and they charged me $180 to replace even though the previous work was well within the warranty period. They adamantly stated that nothing they did would have affected that seal. Nothing. I'm certain (and told by others w/ the same trans) the trans had to be dropped for the initial service which would have required the linkage to be disconnected which could have compromised the seal. Also, the shifter inside the car didn't match up the same as before w/ the "D" "R" "N" etc labels which tells me the linkage was disconnected. Bobby's assured me that a previously non-leaking trans and now a leaking trans after their service was simply coincidence. I don't like this type of coincidence. I will not return to Bobby's nor will I endorse them. It could be a coincidence, but it seems highly unlikely to me. I spent over 1k on the initial service. $107 for a $50 flex plate also (but I'm sure it's top of the line). read more

I brought my 2011 Ford Fusion to Bobby's for transmission diagnostic and repairs. My fusion was acting so goofy one day when driving down to Kuna that I was sure the transmission was going to transmission heaven. However, Bobby's reassured me that it could be something on a much smaller scale that could be very easy to repair. Well, a phone call later from Greg and I was told that the transmission needed to be flushed (horrible old transmission fluid) and I needed a new top and bottom mount. I gave them the green light for the bottom torque mount and the flush. The service was GREAT! I got my car back the very next day and my car runs like new. Greg was great to work with. If I have any transmission (I pray I don't) I will bring my car back to them again and again. Thank you for all you did Bobbys! read more

Took my car in because it was shifting hard, they told me it would be around 800$ for what they thought the problem was. It ended up being over 2000$ and when I got my car back it literally died two miles away from the shop. I promptly called them and they did not answer. We ended up having to get it towed back and they were closed for the weekend, apparently one of the wires was loose and they did not charge us for them to re connect it. At the same time I got all of this done I got my oil changed and now a few weeks later my car beeps every time I get into it and tells me that I need an oil change. I shouldn't need one until January! The work I had done was: a full transmission rebuild, oil change, and replacement of the front motor mount. read more

I had went to another place for an oil change and for some reason they couldn't reach the spot to get my power steering fluid filled. So they sent me to Bobbys to get the job done. I was very irritated about the whole situation but am so grateful that I went here and they took care of me in about 5 minutes. YOU WILL NOT FIND A MORE HONEST SHOP IN THE STATE!!!!!! I could write a book on how fantastic my experience has been with Bobby's. I took my Tahoe in for a transmission rebuild 6 years ago (it was a gonner), and with several questions from me with my attempt to upgrade things knowing it would increase the pricing, they advised me against it and felt very confident in the build that they do (Bobby's has been doing it for 35 years+ so they know what works). I even told them I had front 4wd hubs and cv joints for replacement and asked them how much the labor would be to install them. Again, another attempt by me to give them money...they evaluated the front end and said they would not do it right now as there was no indication it was needed...! Can you believe it - It just doesn't get any more honest than that!!! They are now my shop for everything and I very much appreciate having the opportunity and privilege to have such a professional and honest shop in town!!! UPDATE: Sold the truck after putting well over 20,000 miles (past the warranty on the rebuild) of both 2 wheel drive, 4x4, and hauling and NEVER experienced a problem! I always try to go to Bobby's when I need a Uhaul, and to send friends and colleagues there when in need for transmission work etc...fantastic Shop! read more

Came here about six months ago and brought my Ford explore and that I just purchased. I was really worried about driving out to California. Besides that every time you go to mechanics place and you're a girl everybody want to charge you twice as much. The owner actually came out and helped me with that truck and let me know that it was in the condition it would definitely get me to California. He didn't charge me a dime but his honesty it was worth $1000! Being a woman is hard enough dealing with the automotive industry but I deathly will trust this company with anyone of my cars.
