Sent my girlfriend here and didn't get involved until it was over because I thought I could trust…read morethem. Her push button start stopped working and she developed a parasitic drain on the battery. Her friend hooked up his scanner and told her that both problems are because of the ignition module. She finds a cheap module on rock auto and the friend offers to put it in for free so she decides to give it a shot. Well, the friend doesn't really know what he's doing and he can't program the module so she calls this dealer and they offer to program the module for her. She takes it in and they say that the friend messed up the module so they can't program it and they recommend tearing the module out and putting in a new one. This is where a reputable mechanic recognizes that "my friend with his scanner" is not an accurate source of information and there's no guarantees that the module is actually the problem. But no, they saw a sucker who was willing to authorize a new module and that's what they did. They charged a ton of extra labor to undo the previous work but they were more than willing to stick with the previous diagnosis. My girlfriend who knows nothing about cars was handed a $1500 bill and they did no diagnostics whatsoever. They were more than willing to use her ignorance against her and let her spend a ton of money knowing that it might not fix her car. Lo and behold they finish the work and the push button start still isn't working and of course they say that it's not their fault. And they only offered to look at it after I went down there and called them out. An honest mechanic would never risk their name and reputation by letting a customer spend that much money when they know it might not be the fix. This is the sleazy mechanic behavior that I do not expect from my small, hometown Jeep dealership

Once the parts were in, I dropped off the car and, after an estimated 11 business days of work, I got the call 8 business days in that it was ready. Like a new car. They quoted two matched used tires at a reasonable price for 16" Light Truck tires. I said how long to put them on and they said 15-20 minutes. I drove down and was directed into the bay. It felt like a pit stop. 4 men two on each side jacked up and removed the tires. The tires were waiting and after they were presented to me for approval they were mounted, balanced and installed. The promises of a car "tomorrow" ultimately turned into a week long ordeal. My car was secured on Thursday and was supposed to be ready for pickup Tuesday. Which turned to Wednesday the latest and finally ended up being the following Monday. I was told the delay was due to the fact that my vehicle needed new tires, but the vehicle was ultimately delivered with used tires. We wanted to trade in our car at the time of sale and put something towards the new car, but were told we could not unless we wanted to wait 2 more days. We had exactly 60 seconds to look at a car we didnt get to test drive because we were rushed because "there are a lot of people picking up today". I was told there were no differences in the cars we looked at and test drove and the car we ultimately ended up buying. This proved to be false. I was never told there was a minimum amount to finance, so when i went in with 2 checks, one was refused due to some undisclosed financing minimum. In face, I was specifically told " I don't care how you pay, its all the same to me" by the manager in the previous visit. My bottom line price was $30,000 OUT THE DOOR. taxes and fees included. When I asked Colin what my total was before I started signing, he told me "Right at 30." He lied right to my face as the price was $31,012. When we went into the finance managers office and started looking at paperwork we questioned why it wasn't a Hyundai Certified Pre owned as that's what we were told all along and the only reason we even went back to the dealer. The finance manager got up, walked out without a word when i threatened this was going to go a whole different way without a certification and we were going to walk away. He then came back with a few payment options all of which included additional warranty coverage like that's the only way the car would be certified. I was never given payment options that did not include an additional warranty. An ultimately $35,000 car didn't come with basics like floor mats or even a manual. Its been 10 days since I've contacted colin about this and have received no response. We were told 2 completely different figures about how much money was put into the car, by the same person and were told if they put anymore into the car it would be over the $30,000 out the door price. Which it ultimately was anyway. We were told when we bought a car, it would be completely gone over with us. This was also not done. So no tutorial, no test drive and no manual. How do you figure out the buttons on a self driving vehicle while you're driving without it being dangerous? A certified pre-owned Hyundai comes with 3 months of sirius radio and bluelink. Mine did not. As part of the 173 point inspection the car must include an owners manual, a quick start guide and owners handbook. mine did not include these. Under that same inspection, there is to be no visable damage to the front bumper or grille and mine is damaged on both and checked off as "no damage" "meets stds" The clock is supposed to be set to the right time. While this may seem like a simple stupid task,even this was not done leaving me questioning whether anything was done. My battery failed the inspection and says no good. It is supposed to include a Carfax specifically, but I had to pay $50 for my own when I got home and realized all the problems with the vehicle and service and sales departments. It was in this Carfax report we discovered it was not a one owner car, it was a 3 year, 36,000 mile lease, which was never disclosed. I was charged for vin etching on a vehicle that was already $700 over my budget. When i called Peter Sarro the general manager and explained my many concerns, he said " are you done? can i talk now? you've been talking for 20 minutes." i expressed that i thought he wanted to hear all of my concerns and that i could see he was not the right person to talk to to try to rectify the situation. I gave him a chance to rectify the situation and that was a kindness, and he pretty much laughed in my face and offered a manual. I thanked him for his time and told him to have a great day and then went over his head. You will get nowhere with these people I have escalated this case to Hyundai Motor America Customer Care and they are NOT happy. I do have to mention Colin was wonderful and went above and beyond until the moment he received our check. That's when the communication changed, the effort stopped and everything was different. The no pressure, upfront pricing and transparency they claim to have as standards are a joke and they do none of those things. We were pressured, lied to about the price and not told so many things.

The car I purchased lasted about 10 minutes before the check engine light came on. I tried to return it- nope. Tried to exhale it for a comparable car- nope. The owner wanted to "try to fix it". That fix last about 100 miles and has plagued me ever since. Dan was the first used car salesman that ever treated me like a "used car salesman" would treat their next chump. I was a "transaction" and not a customer. There are so many places you can go to get a car instead of this one.

They used the wrong gasket and rust surfaced, which means they did not primer before they painted the raw metal. And they did not even match the paint, so there was a 3/8 inch border around the entire windshield. To redo the job, I hired Oleander's in Vernon. The entire frame beneath the windshield was corroded and rusting. Olender's fixed a botched up job and my vehicle came out of there better than new. In the end, you get what you pay for. Plus, Strong's said I would have the vehicle back in 1 week. It took them 3 weeks and would have taken longer if I had not nudged them to finish the job and give me my vehicle back. Poor quality workmanship all around and zero regard for the customer as well. If you want drama in your life and don't care that much about your vehicle, this is the place for you. If you want to deal with a professional, Rich is not your guy. A true NO value establishment.
