One who genuinely thanked me for calling and didn't rush me off the phone. He said to call back 45 mins before I was ready to come in and he would make sure my car would get worked on right away. I called back this afternoon and they took me right away. Rob at the front desk was very friendly and the waiting room was very comfortable. As a younger female, autoshops aren't usually the most welcoming places, but this was the best auto-realted shop I have ever been to. They even fixed my tire free of charge and encouraged me to come back if I needed any other work done. Excellent experience. They quoted two matched used tires at a reasonable price for 16" Light Truck tires. I said how long to put them on and they said 15-20 minutes. I drove down and was directed into the bay. It felt like a pit stop. 4 men two on each side jacked up and removed the tires. The tires were waiting and after they were presented to me for approval they were mounted, balanced and installed. We had previously tried to get the problem fixed at other shops but to no avail. This last visit was to fix an expensive problem and they did a great job. However, less than 2 weeks later the steering issues were back. My son returned to Storrs Auto to find out the part was faulty. Within 3 days the car was once again repaired free of charge. They definitely stand behind their work. I would highly recommend Storrs Automotive, especially to UCONN college students. Being from out of state, I was concerned my son would be taken advantage of. This is not the case here. They seem to be honest, reputable, friendly and complete the repairs in a timely manner. I have been going to Tires International for 7 years and I have never had to question their integrity or care for their customers. Last year, Dale decided to finally retire (good for you, Dale!), but is going to stay with the business for 2 years, so that's why you will still see him there. I brought my vehicle for an oil change, like I typically do. Shortly after, my vehicle started making strange airy sounds in the motor area. Upon inspection, my air filter was upside-down which caused debris to accumulate and damage the air mass flow sensor. The above negligence resulted in a loss of use of my vehicle and a repair bill. Shame on you, Tires Int'l VIP for your shady practices for getting new work. This may work in the short-term, but people will be onto you. Long-term, you can guarantee your closure. Had a door panel switch fixed, bought 2 sets of tires from them, and had them do my belts and water pump over the years. Every time the service quotes were up front and very fair. Andy, the owner and his wife make the place feel more like a family service shop and always have made me feel like I can trust them. On the water pump job, a day later I had a leak on one of my hoses due to dry rot (not their fault at all). Brought it right back, Andy took one look at it and said he was sorry and hates to see cars come back to the shop for a second round. They fit me right in that day to fix the hose and make it right on the spot. Only charged for the hose and no labor. If that's not good customer service I don't know what is. Just bought a certified 2014 golf TDI to add to the stable. Asked on if they do full service on TDI's, and they do. This type of service from a independent shop is hard to find given the complexity of VW direct injection diesels to work on. Most shops will turn you away, but not this one. Instead of going to the local clown shop (aka Vernon stealership I bought the car from), I will have them do work on this car in the future. If you have a VW or Audi product this shop is worth checking out.
