    Large soup

I've been on a panini kick recently and Capo has some BOMB sandwiches. It's small, it's no-frills, the menu is huge, and it's so good. I had the Orlando panini (I wanted to add fried eggplant to it but either the server or the kitchen forgot, oh well). It was excellent. Very tasty and filling. My husband had the prato panini. We each got side sauces too for dipping as well as cream of tomato soup. I had a small soup and he had a large. The large is an actual bucket. Prices are super reasonable and they don't skimp on ingredients. I'd give a full five stars for food but the missing fried eggplant, an extra drink given to us that we didn't order, and the prato panini taking forever to come out brought the review slightly down. Overall this is a great place and I'm definitely coming back to try more paninis. Excellent.

I am sorry to say that Capo has been open for about two years, and I never took a chance to go there until now. Capo is located in a small strip mall, set way back off of Franklin Avenue. There is ample parking in the lot, shared with three other storefronts. They offer dine-in and have a very (from I could see) busy takeout option. The inside is very casual with beautiful farmhouse decor. I loved all the signs (one of which I attached in a photo here!). A young server greeted us and sat us, followed by bringing us a cold bottle of water and two glasses. Since it was our first time here, we decided to sample some small plates. We ordered the 6-piece bruschetta sampler, which we were able to customize. We opted for 4 savory and 2 sweet versions. The Italian "egg rolls" looked interesting so they became our second plate. To round out our experience we enjoyed the shrimp wrapped in pancetta. THE GROWS: Location, location, location. There is obscure signage from the road so nothing makes it stand out. This is a unique venue that deserves more "splash" in their presence to entice casual drivers-by on Franklin Avenue. The tomatoes on the traditional bruschetta weren't very ripe, leaning more on the orange side. Minor "grow", but worth mentioning. THE GLOWS: One young server handled the whole room, including a table of 6 and other tables of 2-3ppl. She did so with ease and attentiveness (I made sure the tip reflected that). She was so friendly and very patient as we made our selections. We explained it was our first time there and she recommended some items for us. The Italian egg rolls came with a spicy marinara that makes one want to lick the dish they come in! The showstopper was definitely the shrimp wrapped in pancetta, which came served with a sherry cream sauce and covered in melted fresh mozzarella. The shrimp were huge, cooked just right, and the sauce was heavenly. We were able to pay the check via an app and scanning the check. How convenient! At one point, the owner, Paul, made his way to all of the tables and spoke with all customers. Not just the "how's your meal" typical chat, but genuine conversation. He spoke to us about his food industry experience and about another venue he is partnered with (review to follow once I hit THAT spot!). Not sure about anyone else, but when I respect the owner/chef it makes me want to patronize a location even more. Such a cool guy with a great outlook on the current stressors of the industry. I will definitely be back to sample some of their infamous paninis that I am hearing so much about!

Overall the food was amazing 9.5/10 The entire meal was delicious, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the dishes full of flavor. The Leychee shrimp balls were excellent, the mashed cucumber salad was refreshing and full of flavor. All the dishes were seasoned well, the special dumplings were a little over seasoned and thus the 9.5 instead of a perfect 10. The tea was refreshing and not overly sweet it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal.

It now has a Vietnamese/Asian vibe going. The menu has also been updated: Salt Pepper Frog Legs - it is said that frog legs taste like chicken. Really homey feeling and typical of Vietnamese restaurants. The Noms: Pork and shrimp spring rolls- one of my favorite appetizers... generous portions of pork and shrimp, all neatly wrapped in rice paper. The peanut sauce is the best. I always order an extra serving Classic Banh mi- my husband and I always order two and they're very filling. It's not exactly like the Banh mis from California because the bread is not the same... but it's still very good and comes close. It definitely satisfies my craving while I'm waiting for my next trip home. Beef pho- I really enjoy their pho. It's good the broth is very flavorful.... In Cali, we have several different types of beef pho (dac biet, tai, gau, Bo vien, etc...) but this beef option has all of them mixed in along with some tripe (which I don't care for) so just make sure that you're aware of that and can adjust what kind of beef you want in your pho. In conclusion: I am happy to support this mom and pop shop and enjoy their food very much... while they are "cash only", they do accept Venmo/Zelle... I actually order delivery quite frequently to-go and have Billy saved in my Zelle account so that I could square away my bill and cut out Seamless and GrubHub, who take too much from struggling restaurants. Def recommend stopping by and enjoying authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

Our group ordered several chicken combos, which include refillable sides (rice, salad, French fries, and vegetables), while the chicken itself is not refillable. From the start, the service was disorganized. We had multiple servers, yet they repeatedly forgot items. Some people in our group waited a long time for their vegetables, while others had to ask multiple times before receiving their French fries. It honestly felt as though the staff was doing everything possible to avoid bringing guests everything that was included with the meal. My husband and I requested one refill of rice. Since we didn't finish it, we simply asked for the remaining rice we had already been served to be packed to go. The server took the plate but never returned with it in a to-go container. When we asked about it, another server accused us of trying to get an extra refill, claiming we had already reached the refill limit. We explained several times that we were not asking for another refill we only wanted the rice we had already been served packed to go. Despite that, he continued insisting we were trying to get more than we were entitled to. What made the situation even worse was his dismissive response of "whatever" after we tried to explain the misunderstanding. Being treated as though we were trying to take advantage of the restaurant was frustrating and completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, this wasn't completely out of character. Most of the servers have consistently come across as rude during our previous visits. The owner, on the other hand, has always been friendly and does a good job connecting with customers. However, this time he was only a few feet away, appeared aware of what was happening, and never stepped in to address the situation or make things right. Allowing staff to treat customers this way reflects poorly on the restaurant. My advice to anyone dining here is to pay close attention to the sides that come with your meal and make sure you receive everything you're entitled to. We left feeling that the restaurant advertises refillable sides but does everything possible to delay or limit them, only to accuse customers of asking for more than they're entitled to. After years of overlooking the rude service because we enjoyed the food, this experience was the final straw. The way we were treated guaranteed that we will never return.

My usual go-to dish at a Tex-Mex place is the Grilled Steak rice platter, so I decided to stick with what I like. I thought the steak here was excellent. It came with one flour tortilla, rice, beans, salad, guac, and chili. The quality and proportion was better than what I expected. However, it was crazy expensive.
