Came here over the weekend to celebrate a friends birthday. There were 8 of us and we ordered drinks, apps, entrees and dessert and all of it was perfection. The bread basket was fresh and amazing, the coconut martini was insane (I could have ordered multiple because they were so delicious but they were strong so I only had 1), The calamari was also incredibly fresh and delicious, the spicy vodka cavatelli with burrata was unbelievable (definitely spicy which I was happy about), and the peanut butter cake slice was a perfect ending to the meal. Service was on point all night. The staff is on top of everything and also incredibly nice and ready to offer recommendations. The restaurant was packed the entire time we were there (2+ hours on a saturday night) for good reason. Everyone in the restaurant looked happy. The restaurant was also beautiful and one side had a beautiful bar and additional seating and the main dining room was spacious and had tons of seating. WOW!! Place was packed at 620. No reservations for 4 taken-first come first served-wait was only 29 mins -got seat at bar. Nice pour of wine $12! What a beautiful restaurant. The decor inside is old school Italian meets modern. The wait staff is beyond generous and kind. Came here Saturday night for dinner with my mom. We were seated right away and they were somewhat busy. The waiter came over and we said we needed a minute. That turned into 20. We ordered drinks and when they came we asked for straws, after about 5 mins my mom went to the bar to get them. We ordered the Russo salad, my mom got the shrimp oregenata and I got the shrimp monachino. The Russo salad was supposed to have celery, it didn't which is fine just saying. It had no taste at all. Super bland. My shrimp dish wasn't great. I didn't love it. The portions are pretty large I will say. It was pretty empty after we got our salad and service wasn't great. This location lives up to their stellar reputation of their previous location on hillside. A lot of the staff remains the same so the welcoming feel remains the same. If you are in the mood for Italian and are in the area definitely stop! Many restaurants loose the flavor when they relocate from their original location. This is definitely not the case! I've never gotten anything but the calamari here but I will say- it is absolutely delicious. It is not deeply fried but still crispy while being lightly battered- basically, just right. They also serve the marinara sauce hot here versus cold which I think compliments it better. Really good service here they are very attentive. Nice atmosphere with white table linens - perfect for a date night. Good drinks - I had one of their special drinks with prosecco and orange juice tasted like a mimosa. I ordered gnocchi and told them to use pesto sauce in it - it wasn't on the menu but they were able to accomodate me - the portion was huge and served in a beautiful scooped plate/bowl. Came here in a Tuesday night with my friend and my brother. Got seated right away. The restaurant eventually filled up compellingly which was a good sign of how great this place is. Staff was very friendly and checked in on us constantly. Iliked the look of the restaurant, - very cozy. We shared the Fried Calamari which was really good. I liked how they had Eggplant Rolatini (one of my favs) as an Appetozer even though we didn't order it. My friend ordered Sergio's Reserve Pork Chops and my brother had the Pork Chop Voldostano, both of which they loved. I still definately be back. 10/10/24. Last minute plants to dine at one of my favorite Italian places. Ordered the shrimp parm (with a side of penne bolognese), and zuppa de pesce. These dishes are my favorites, and were wonderful! My only one pet peeve is being asked if I am done, while I am still eating, but other than that Jordan and Thomas were great. This is our favorite restaurant, they use to be a few blocks from us but moved. And we followed! I have to say this place never disappointed us. The food was even better this time! I love their fettuccine Alfredo, it has always been the best I have! This time it was even more delicious it was an 11/10. Yes it was so perfect! Right amount of cream and packed with flavor! I was beyond impressed! We love their chicken francaise and it was amazing this time around! Come with an empty stomach because their servings are not small, well worth the price. I have been going to Cara Mia since it was on hillside back in the early 2000s. This place never fails with amazing food and service!! I rarely crave salads but everytime I come I order the pazzo salad which is an amazing medly of grilled veggies and salad. I opt for no provolone because it's a little strong for my taste. I love the oreganato dishes but always have something different because they always have different specials that have been amazing. Today in particular we had the shortrib pappardelle. The food portions are generous and tasty. The space is on the smaller side and it gets crowded very easily. There's a bar but it's usually packed. Bring your appetite but be prepared to wait. My family and I had dinner at Cara Mia in Floral Park. We were a party of 6, had red sangria, We ordered Caesar Salad which was so good. My grandson told me it was the best Caesar Salad he ever ate!! The fried Calamari was delicious so tender, cooked to perfection. Mozzarella sticks were also delicious. Spaghetti and meatballs were so good. The chicken Parmigiana was cooked to perfection. The veal Melissa was exceptional. The pasta and broccoli was excellent. We also had a shrimp dish which was out of this world. For desserts, we had 7 layer cheesecake, chocolate lava cakes, and a tartufo. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back real soon.
