Balise Subaru - They claim they want my visit to be extraordinary...

This review is for the service and parts departments; I have no experience with their sales…read moredepartment. I have used their parts department three times - including a special order - for my wife's Subaru, with no problems or issues. Today, I took her older Subaru Outback there for warranty service, due to an airbag recall. Scheduling the appointment was difficult, at first. The first person I dealt with over the phone was supposed to call me back, but never did; and, she had difficulty processing basic information. I called back a few days later and thankfully, dealt with another person to make the appointment. I scheduled a Saturday appointment about a month in advance (I could have gotten an appointment sooner, but did this to accommodate my schedule). They sent me plenty of email reminders as the day of my appointment approached, and had me confirm my appointment online a day or two before. I arrived a few minutes before my 9 a.m. Saturday appointment. You drive up to the service entrance, and the garage door automatically opens. Once you park inside, you go in the adjacent service desk area. There were three service writers on duty. The woman who checked the car in was professional and pleasant. At first, I was going to wait in the dealership's waiting room for the repair, which the recall notice said would take about one hour, but she advised me the repair would take longer than that, since they have to remove the dashboard. I then asked if I could get loaner vehicle, and she immediately replied yes, which was nice of them, considering this was a warranty (read: unpaid) repair. Another employee dealt with the paperwork for the loaner car, and I was quickly on my way out the door in a beautiful 2018 Subaru Forrester (if you're considering a new car, check it out, I really liked it!). Having the loaner was huge, since it allowed me to be productive and take care of some errands on a busy Saturday. Around 11 a.m. - just two hours after I had dropped my wife's car off - I received a call saying the repair was finished. When I returned with the loaner, even the service writer was surprised how quickly the repair was finished (I'd been cleared to use the loaner car until 2 p.m.), but it helped that a mechanic began working on it right after I dropped it off. Imagine that - a business that actually keeps an appointment! Overall, I was highly impressed and would have given them five stars if it wasn't for the failed first attempt to make an appointment.

We have leased several cars from Balise Subaru. we also bought a pre owned car. Our last (and I…read moremean the last) car we leased was a 2023 Forester. We were told it was of quality. the Eco Bridgestone tires went BALD by 20,000 miles. Even with our warrant, we had to pay over $1,200 for 4 new tires. Tye tires have bad reviews all over the place. Balise said because we were late for our first oil change and rotation the bill is on us. This is unacceptable and I will tell EVERYONE I know to avoid their declining integrit. I am called "The Subaru Lady" by many. Belise, Bridgestone, and Subaru are all getting bad reviews from the Subaru lady. I have in the past sent Belise customers. I will now cost them more than I ever sent.

Our BMW X5 has been costing us a mint since the warranty ended....literally within 6 months…read moreeverything started to break. I had yet another problem yesterday and went over to Warwick BMW to drop off the car. I decided to take the loaner they gave me and drive over to Lexus in the same park. I realized that my favorite tech from BMW now worked at Lexus when I arrived and he told me to talk to Kyle. I told Kyle that I was interested in a GX 470, but needed to see how much the BMW fix would cost before I committed. Fast forward a couple of hours....the BMW fix was going to be more than $2K and Kyle had taken $8K off the price of the Lexus. Done deal!! Great employees and specifically service folks. If you are in need of help give Ryan a call.....he will always tell you the truth!

Now that the new car smell is gone, I can judge the transaction with a clear head and can say buying a new car here was a great decision and an extremely - dare I say it? - easy and pleasant experience!! Three visits to test drive (Dave) to make sure I chose the right model for me, and two email exchanges with the sales manager (Geoff) and the deal was made. After joining the forums and FB group for the TX I can say I think I got a very fair deal. No pressure at all (we've all heard the horror stories of new car shopping) - just a polite and civil back and forth. My service advisor (Peppino) has been an absolute delight to work with. Love the car - and the dealership experience has been "Very Lexus". I would recommend letting these folks have a chance to earn your business; I think they will. Love my TX - thanks guys!!
