On a whim, I walked into Capri Nails for a bio gel mani and regular pedi. What I liked: Friendly staff ( a welcomed change from many other salons) Clean salon Instruments came from a sealed plastic bag. The manicurist and pedicurist were attentive to detail. DO NOT GO HERE! they are (in my opinion) scammers. when i first came in to get my services done couple months ago i was paying $100+ but after 4-5 month now i'm only paying $45-$60 (not including tip) I get the same exact thing everytime. Acrylic fill with a natural nude pinky color. have not changed in over 3 years. I understand if a nail broke off and needs to be fix paying an extra $5-$10 is not bad very understandable. but my nails are very strong and don't fall off often and don't not make sense that i went from paying over $100 to $45 in 4-5 months for the same service. Along with my strong nail i had told the work i do not want her file down my natural nail that are grown out bc I want them strong and long (3 TIMES!!!) and she grabbed my hand 3 times to pull it to her so she could do it. after i said "no thank you" 3 TIMES and then she replayed with "i'll just do little" and said fine bc she wouldn't stop grabbing my hand and then she proceeded to sit there and purposely grind down my natural nails underneath the acrylics until they were thin and weak and basically see-through. Oh and one of my nails already chipped and is now broken again. You can see in the picture below that my nails are no longer the natural square shape and now round because she was shaving down my nail beds. After i did pay for my service and tip then I called to talk to the manager and i was told they would call me back before end of day on Tuesday... no call from manager. So I patiently waited for a call yesterday and again nothing. As i called today my call was immediately forwarded to voicemail. So ultimately worse nail salon in this area. Find a another nail salon. read more

I experienced something unlike any other. I enjoyed coming a few times but the last time the owner did my gel manicure and ignored my request on going to the edges. I didn't like the bumpy job he did but didn't complain. The job on my toes looked messy as well. I came back since the few previous experiences went well. Today I was running late and called. After 10 mins of waiting the owner came again to do my hands. I asked if someone else could do my hands and he told me to leave. I called as I wanted to clarify and was feeling pretty disappointed. The owner immediately started yelling at me calling me a liar and a racist. Never again. I'm at Top Nails and happy here. read more

Regarding what it wants and especially trimming toe nails as well. Since they haven't done for them past couple of times. In which it's now totally unbearable more and more. That's also includes the nail job from this past time. In which that they kinda cut sort of and/or some of the gel polish has already peeled off. Would love to come back without paying for the actually proper job. If not a refund. By the way actually was able to get through to them regarding the hot wax and/or massage part/s, this past time, but not previous one. Still can't believe this is the only place that actually still accepts walk in. When all others have totally stop and/or went to online appt. Especially, via here (Yelp). Positives: The salon is big, many stations available. Appears clean. Friendly staff. Many colors/types of polish. Took credit card. Bio Gel is still on after over 1 month with only one very minor chip on the edge of my thumb nail, and regular polish on toes is still fine. Negatives: Cuticles not cut, but sanded down with a rotary file, leaving jagged cuticles/edges. I have never had my cuticles sanded before, I thought it was 'interesting' while being done, but the outcome was not a clean edge. Then there was the INFECTION in my big toe. One of my big toes tends to need some digging as the nail grows in on that side. That toe did not get infected, but the other big toe started feeling a twinge by time I got home. I kept an eye on it, and within a few days noticed the infection. Still kept an eye and used peroxide, but the area got worse each day. Looked again and could see the red infection moving down my toe, so went to Urgent Care and got antibiotics. After a week of meds, no better, infection actually spread further down my toe. Went back to Urgent Care and was given 2 more antibiotics which by the end of the 7day treatment finally worked and the infection started to get smaller, then finally went away. Not a nice thing to go through. Though I do not like giving a bad review to nice people, I cannot recommend this Salon after my 1 experience here. It was actually more the sanded/torn-up cuticle procedure than the infection that will keep me from returning. read more

My Dermatology provider recommended this business to me. I didn't check reviews before I stopped by and was kindly given a walk-in appointment for bio-gel nails. Mimi did them I I really like them, they came out beautifully. It was quiet and peaceful in the shop. I don't need anyone to chat with me and loud, busy places with lots of tvs and so-so hygiene like the one I'm trying to escape from are a bit much for me. The price was also nice. Be careful at this establishment. The signs outside the salon in the parking lot advertise $45 for mani/pedi BUT the add on services are extremely expensive. A salt scrub for feet and hands was $45!!! I do not recommend this spa and will never return again. read more
