Bad pedicure and edges not smooth and no polish on ends

Firstly hate to review a place when the guy I dealt with to was nice. Here are the reasons I would not refer this place. Pedicure woman dropped the tools and then was going to use them - I had to make a comment please don't use those they show on the floor. The top of my toenails look awful. The polish was not brought to the edges. The pedicure woman did not speak much English and I tried to explain that I don't want 1 big toe to be filed in a hard way as I am trying to grow my toenail out. They do not wash their hands in between clients and the woman that did the pedicure came from eating lunch to do my pedicure. Next the guy that did my hard gel was nice, but he kept rubbing his nose and then touching my hands. He used his fingernails to clean spaces of polish instead of using clean tools. I showed him that ants were crawling around the Lighting unit and he just brushed it off. I also asked that they spray the top with alcohol "God knows how many people have used it before me". Three stars based on cleanliness, lack of understanding about my sensitivities, and unfortunately, they don't care about maintenance of their equipment. Update - updated this review 5hrs later. The owner Alice texted me 2x telling me the salon was concerned and would teach their workers better hygiene and appreciated my letting them know. I told her I wanted a refund and sent pics of the bad job and the comments of their dirty salon they call a "spa". She offered a discount on a return service. They should know better and maybe these places should have better training and oversight. I don't want to go back there and hope that you don't go as well.

Lynn was amazing. I'm tempted not to share how great this place as always been so that it doesn't end up too busy and then I won't get an appt. It is clean, staff are friendly and responsive. I appreciate the timely text responses for appointments and inquiries. I am fascinated by the tv show they play about true village inspired cooking. It is captivating. Mr. T is the most laid back, while simultaneously meticulous and caring nail tech I've ever seen. I have been to dozens of nail salons in the area and no one has been so attentive to my desires. My first experience was with a bio gel French manicure and he had me check each and every nail for the thickness and shape of the white tip before curing it. First of all what I requested the owner said it is no longer done. Simple request wanted French tip white powder/pink powder acrylic nails. Was very clear no gel on my nails. The opposite was done. Only 2 tips were added because my other nails were long. The technician painted the entire nail pink and I asked her prior to her doing this, because i could not figure out why she was putting pink powder on the entire nail, she said "you'll see". She painted the white on at the tip with a white gel??? Anyway, bottom line is it cost me $71.40 for a job I did not want and it is without a doubt the worse i have ever had. I have had acrylic nails since the 70's. I will be going somewhere else and have them redo the nails. That is how bad this job was. And to top it off I asked her why they no longer do the white powder with pink powder when doing the French tip. Her response was I will do that for you next time. So the owner/manager lied to me and overcharged me. I looked at their pricing when I was paying the bill and I even said to him no where on this price list do I see $70. My daughter suggested going here and she gets all kinds of designs on her nails and she was shocked at what they charged me. Not only will I never go here again but my daughter will not continue going here again either...her words. Total rip off!!! Good luck to you guys. You have lost two very good potential customers. read more

Can't say enough good things about this nail spa! Mr. T & Alice are amazing! They are knowledgeable and friendly, and most of all, welcoming. I felt like I had been going there for years and it was my first visit! The spa was clean and organized and not super over crowded at all. I never felt like my service was rushed. I got really great nails done by Danny, he's a wonderful nail tech, gave me a set exactly like what I showed. I highly recommend him. However, I also got a pedicure done from a lady named Lana and she was very rude. When I asked her to fix the shape of my toenails, she looked super annoyed, even though she was the one doing a sloppy job. She would never look me in the eyes when I asked her questions and gave me one word answers. I didn't appreciate her behavior towards me. read more

Okay! So I'm new to the area and was very hesitant to get a complicated design for my visit. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Alice and was seated right away. I decided on a red and Alice even recommended the cute bow on the ring fingers. I felt like it was the best first visit. This is one of those places that you should actually do a personal field trip to. It will change your life. Believe it. Highly, highly recommended! UPDATE: I went back in for more hand soap concentrate and some retinol serum. By the way, soap and lotion brand name is "Further". Alyssa assisted me and she is an absolute DOLL. I waited a few more minutes, and still no one came to assist. After repeatedly waiting without help, I raised my voice simply to get someone's attention. Instead of receiving assistance, I was asked to leave the store--despite the fact that there were no cashiers available and no help provided. The store felt like it was running unattended. I have video footage showing how empty the registers were during this time. I do not recommend this Walgreens due to lack of customer service and poor management. I will be contacting corporate to report this experience.

I've visited other sustainable companies that still use unnecessary packaging and plastic, but not here. There's none of the extra wastefulness, everything is natural, thoughtfully made, and environmentally friendly. So far I've purchased reusable makeup remover pads, a reusable sponge, reusable produce bags, body soap with a pouch, body oil, deodorant, toner, makeup remover, face wash, a candle, sunscreen, and shampoo and conditioner bars. The best part? I get to refill the containers instead of throwing them away. How amazing is that? Christy and Catherine are so friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Christy, the owner, is amazing and I could talk about sustainability with her for hours. I've been searching for a company like this and I can't wait to go back and stock up on even more products.

Because of their repeated mistakes, every month I have to argue and fight just to get my medication. This causes major stress and delays my treatment. The staff is often rude and unprofessional. They frequently do not answer the phone, and sometimes even hang up on me. I even called Walgreens corporate headquarters and filed a formal complaint. They gave me case number 26384540, but after two weeks, nobody ever called me back. I strongly warn others: think twice before using this pharmacy. My experience has been so stressful, it feels like this place could give someone a heart attack.

I was very nervous about going because you never know what you're going to get at a new place. The parking is a bit of a challenge because it's a very busy shopping plaza. I was able to get a spot as someone was just leaving. Walking into Top Nails, it is a very busy business but everyone was happy, so that's a good sign. My tech was a bit late, but Steve came to file off my nail color and prepped my nails, apologizing for them running late. I didn't mind, but his concern was appreciated. My appointment was with BinZ who was very friendly. I needed a bio gel fill, and he really impressed me! He was very thorough, and did a TERRIFIC job! I booked another appointment with him for 2 weeks later. He will definitely be my go-to person! My only negative experience was when I went to pay. There were at least 3 girls behind the counter doing their accounting for the day. Not one of them addressed me or offered to assist me after I gave them my charge ticket. (Note: They take cash, check or Zelle only since they don't have card reader.) Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure how to proceed but soon figured out that I could use their tel# or QR code to Zelle them. Overall, the staff is very friendly. After researching for some time, the best reviews came from this particular location -- the next day around noon (Thursday), I decided to call and see if I could walk in, and the gentleman on the phone encouraged me to come on right over! When I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff and the biggest hello from Alex! I was seated immediately on one of the most comfortable massage chairs, and I was in and out of there in 30 minutes with the best service (which is the fastest and most efficient nail experience I've ever had!). I got a gel manicure and a gel pedicure -- and I was treated so well, and I felt so pampered!! There were so many colors to choose from, and the nail technicians helped me out. Alex said that they've been there for 5 years, and the other client sitting next to me also said she's been a loyal customer since the start of their opening. I am going on a trip tomorrow and decided I wanted to pay to get them professionally done for the occasion to treat myself. This was a very good reminder of why I do them myself now... The nail tech was nice and worked quickly... too quickly. They didn't trim my cuticles or the skin around my nails. I asked for an ombré nail design, which is shown on their menu and provided a picture of the exact colors I wanted. Another nail tech came and took my phone to pick colors out and just started painting them on some of my nails before the original tech had even put gel on them. It was very odd... the second tech was rushing the first and was honestly doing a sloppy job. The color ended up being super off.. it was a Christmas tree green instead of a blue- teal color. I don't blame her for that, the bottle looked like a different color than the paint. They were also streaky and completely see-through. She asked if I liked them and I told her those things, and she told me the reference picture was see through too (which it was not-I added the reference) but she still redid them which I appreciated. I picked the new color myself, which matched the reference pic more and also wasn't see-through which was way better. The airbrush was having issues, which I could tell was super frustrating to them which sucks. But they just seemed to not really know how to do it very well. They finished and rushed me out quickly without cleaning any of the gel of my skin. With airbrush they usually wipe the paint off the skin before curing it so this doesn't happen. Now it's been a real pain to try to get off. They also did not clean up the sides of my nails, which were all jagged. I had to do a full nail clean up when I got home. Thankfully I have all the stuff at home to do that. The only reason for 3-stars is that the gel x nails are properly applied and should last. Overall I was not impressed. As a new client who is paying good money (and extra for a nail design) I expect some level of care. Also now knowing how to do a proper gel manicure, it's so obvious when they cut corners and rush (no nail/cuticle prep or clean up, only one layer of paint). And maybe don't offer a service (ombré) if you aren't confident in it or don't have properly working equipment. I wanted to do something nice for myself but ended up having more of a headache in the end, and had to pay my hard earned money for that headache.

Came here recently and had such a good experience. The manager was super nice, patient, and very detailed whenever customers had questions or needed clarification so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings. You can tell they really try to communicate clearly and make clients comfortable. The salon was also very clean, relaxing, and professional. Even though the salon is newer, they do really beautiful work and can do all kinds of designs and nail art. You can tell the techs are talented and actually care about their work. I have been getting my nails done by these nail techs since before 2020. I have followed them around the TO area until they found a perm home at Lit Nails. Their customer service is 10/10 and their work speaks for itself. I always get compliments on my long nails that are natural and strong, thanks to them. Their prices are so fair and I look forward to every appointment. The salon itself is quiet and clean. It's in a great shopping center with easy parking. Mr. T is the best nail tech I have ever been to. He effortlessly executes all of my requests and always finds a way to make my ideas a reality- even when I don't have the best explanations to describe what I want!
