    Homemade Turkey (small)
    Kristina K.

My family has been coming to Capriotti's for years. I have only eaten it on an occasion and have always liked it. While it is not my first choice when getting take out, it is good for a sandwich shop. My favorite part is that the turkey is real chunks of turkey and not cold cuts! However, the turkey on my most recent sandwich from this location was dry. I have to been to three different locations in Delaware and they are all similar. They are small with a counter to order and no place to sit. It is definitely a to-go place. The service is always friendly and fast. If you have the chance to go to Capriotti's it is worth a try, but I would not go out of my way to come here.

Recently I visited Capriotti's and ordered the Italian Sausage sandwich. The staff are extremely friendly and while they were preparing my sandwich we had a great discussion on east coast sandwiches. Once I received my sandwich, I immediately notice the weight of this sandwich...it's packed full. I tasted it and wow, wonderful flavor. Great meat to veggie ratio. This sandwich is excellent, I highly recommend. However, the only part to my mind that was not excellent was the bread. But this depends on personal preference, I prefer a firmer bread as the sauce (which tastes wonderful) softens the bread a little too much. Again this is personal preference. I highly recommend!

So tired of making online orders, they never get it right. This is the third time. You pay top dollar for the subs but don't get what you pay for. Good help is either hard to find or they just don't care any more, Hot peppers on the side ordered for 2 subs, none in the bag but it's clearly on the receipt, ugh, obviously gonna have to go elsewhere

My brother-in-law took us to Capriotti's while we were in Delaware. The shop offers limited seating and quite a few of the patrons if not all were carrying out orders. I did feel slightly rushed by the staff member taking orders (because he asked over and over again if we were ready), but was happy with what I ordered. My mother-in-law enjoyed her salad. the ingredients were fresh and she had leftovers due to the generous size. I loved how tender the shredded turkey was in my brother-in-law's Col(slaw) Turkey sub (he was kind enough to let me have a bite or two!). The Hubby made a fantastic decision going for the Bobbie. It truly was reminiscent of Thanksgiving leftovers. I loved the cranberry sauce! My cheese steak was phenomenal, it was packed with meat and I really liked the pepper relish I asked for on the side. I was also impressed with how hardy the sandwich bread was; enough to hold all of the meat and toppings of each sandwich. Already planning my next trip!

Note the turkey in the sandwich I got

I'm an idiot for coming back to this location after previous issues. I call. No answer. Should've called another place. Instead, wanting to bring a Bobbie home to those who enjoy it, I use my DD app, pay extra fees and order. Give them the time quoted, get there, its a disorganized zoo. The woman with short blonde hair talking like she's a manager.. is talking trash to a counter full of patrons about how "this location gets the worst reviews... yet they have the highest revenues..." Getting bad reviews isn't something I'd announce.. guess she wanted to make sure those who didn't see it knew about it. I expect to wait a bit seeing how busy it is. After standing there for 12+ minutes I ask, is my order actually started because I'm ok with canceling. "Its almost done.. its 1/2 way there" LIE. Another 5-6 minutes, I go to the counter again.. "really its ok... if it isn't started, I'd like to cancel" Short blonde woman says, "its almost done.. its right here.. its busy.." Sure that's what you should say to a customer who's waiting.. after another 2 minutes hands me my pre-paid sandwiches no apologies and says.. ready for this? "Its only 10 minutes late!" The problem with this place is leadership. Working in restaurants for 40 years, I take note of the good workers here of which there are several. The leadership sucks and has been weak for years, yet the community won't drive another 10 mins and go elsewhere. Corporate has no incentive to make any changes here as long as the numbers are there. $33 for 2 medium sandwiches and all I feel is regret for ever going there today. Praying I remember today's pitiful experience and rude, bulgy-eyed comments from the short blonde woman who's "been there 44 years" who I wouldn't have work for me for 5 minutes in any of the dozen+ places I've managed. Things happen. Its the last Eagles game of the season. Its busy for sure which is why a popular place prepares for an expected busy day. When things are backed up, be conciliatory, not combative with the customer like its their stupid fault for coming in and expecting service because after all its the customers' fault the store is busy. If this short blonde woman's head was in the right space about her job and her role, she should be happy its busy, after all, it ensures her continued employment, should sympathize with the customer who placed the order. 35+ minutes ago, been standing in the store for 20+ minutes and not complain about how busy she is, going on and on about there being "one grill"... her strategy of getting the paying customer to sympathize with HER, who's working getting paid to do a job is messed up and tolerated by her employer and for that matter, the clientele. I will never return to this store. Here's another bad review for your location. If i want a Bobbie.. I will drive further to get one, and i'm going to guess you'd say "good riddens". Excellent.

That's how it was delivered! $7!!!
    Joseph D.

Just ordered from here for the first time! Well it's now the last! A half of cheesesteak was exactly 3 1/2" long! $7.00. I called and they said DoorDash adds 20% to their menu prices. I verified with DoorDash and that's not true the restaurant sets the prices. Casapulla has a 12" cheesesteak for $9 better quality and more meat! It's a-shame Capriottis was good until they sold out!

Seriously, why aren't you here yet?!

Operating out of a simple storefront on Foulk Road since 1996, it is a local favorite for hearty breakfast items, standard deli cold cuts, and specialty grilled subs. Using their exact menu terminology, here is how the food breaks down: Italian / Italian w/ Prosciutto: Their classic cold sub option, loaded with Italian meats, cheese, and fresh sub toppings on a soft roll--with the option to upgrade to their Italian w/ Prosciutto for a sharper, higher-grade cured meat flavor. Stevi's Grip (Sandwich Special): A popular hot/grilled take on the classic Italian, featuring grilled Italian meats, fried onions, fried sweet peppers, and melted provolone cheese, all wrapped up and grilled. Bellywhopper (Breakfast Special): A massive morning sub packed with fried potatoes, fried onions, diced ham, eggs, and melted cheese on a sub roll. The Barnyard (Sandwich Special): A heavy-hitting sub combining both cheese steak and chicken cheese steak, topped with bacon, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Kevin's Original (Sandwich Special): A chicken cheese steak topped with fried onions, mayo, and extra black pepper. Kim's Tender Concoction (Sandwich Special): Crispy chicken tenders tossed with lettuce, tomatoes, and ranch dressing wrapped in a sun-dried tomato wrap. Side Orders: Classic deli sides including crispy French Fries, Old Bay Fries, Cheese Fries, Mozzarella Sticks, and whole Kosher Pickles. Service is fast, friendly, and unpretentious--a reliable neighborhood spot for quick takeout or delivery.

The walls are red with a black wainscoting paneling and framed pictures, sconces, and a small wine rack can be found on the red part of the wall. The ordering counter is also nearby and has a display case with pizza pies in it. We were immediately seated after arriving and ordered the following: Medium holiday veggie pizza, which has mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, ricotta, green peppers, and diced tomatoes. We didn't realize that the pizza didn't have red sauce but we still liked it. Hubs said that he needs to read the menu closer next time when ordering pizza. This wasn't the first time we accidentally got a no sauce pizza. LOL. Daughter and I shared Vongole, which is linguini tossed with 12-15 little neck clams with your choice of white or red sauce. She chose red sauce. We also got a choice of soup and she chose pasta fagioli. She liked the clams and said that the entree was nice and saucy. I prefer white clam sauce, though. So, I will try that next time. Fried calamari- calamari golden fried squid with side of homemade sauce. I liked that the calamari wasn't breaded. This is my favorite type of calamari. We should've ordered linguini on the side and this was Hubs' favorite dish of the night. The place filled up quickly after we arrived. Hubs had been wanting to try Italian food in Delaware. This place is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. We were expecting it to be a fancy restaurant when we saw the exterior and were pleasantly surprised that it was a pizzeria. The place felt very homey and we loved it. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely return when in the area to try other items on the menu!

There was a time I could have eaten the largest size, which is 3 times the size of the mini, but as an old man the mini was perfect. My most recent visit I ordered a regular size kielbasa with sauerkraut, which for most of the sandwiches would be like the medium size, for the kielbasa is was the smallest they offered. Well, I should have asked for the kraut on the side because when I got home the nice Aversa's roll was soggy, my fault there. On the other hand the kielbasa tased like Hillshire Farm mass produced crap. When the guy got it from the refrigerated cooler where they keep the deli meats he carried it with both hands in a manner as to hide the package it was in, I thought it was odd at the time but didn't think any more about it, until I got home and realized why. While waiting for my sandwich, I saw what looked like 'real' kielbasa in with the deli meats so I was very disappointed when I went to enjoy the sandwich only to have the taste and texture to like be a glorified hot dog. Overall I like the place, the prices and hoagies are great. But, I now know not to order anything but the hoagies here.

They don't just win local popularity contests; they are consistently ranked among the top tier in the entire Delaware Valley, earning "Best of" accolades for their commitment to traditional techniques. The Cheesesteaks: These are frequently cited as the largest cheesesteaks in Delaware County. They use a mountain of finely chopped, high-quality ribeye and, most importantly, they serve them on seeded rolls (often sourced from legendary South Philly bakeries like Sarcone's). The combination of the crispy, sesame-studded crust and the gooey Cooper Sharp cheese is widely considered a "best-in-class" experience.
