First time here and will be back. Got the regular Italian and it was perfect. An excellent blend of meats. Ratio of fresh veggies was great and topped off with an excellent roll. Friendly staff who told me they've been there 47 years. Highly recommend based on the Italian.

Italian Hoagie - reg size imported ham, capicola, Genoa salami and provolone. Aversa Roll, solid hoagie

Above average Delco deli, although ALL of the meat wasn't on top! The business itself is pretty big, they are a full service deli and have a lot of Italian specialties/sides. I stopped in for lunch and they had a line waiting for sandwiches. They use Aversa's rolls, I went with an regular sized 11" Italian hoagie which had imported Ham, Genoa Salami, sweet Capicola and Provolone Cheese. Lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles were also on the sandwich. The sandwich was around $8 which is a steal. It was just the right size and they didn't skimp on the meats. I've read some negatives on the staff. They were nice to me, especially for being under the pressures of a lunch rush. All in all I think for that area of Delco they are top 3 for a sandwich in my humble opinion. I would repeat to try some of their other offerings.

22 inch Italian sub and it was amazing! 5 of us ate that sub and I just finished the last little bit earlier today for lunch. Order was ready in about 20 mins for pickup. Try them out! This picture does this sub no justice.

They are so so slow. Their website is just awful. Food is very good but it's definitely not worth the trouble.

Excellent old school deli. Fantastic sandwiches. Also a great place to pick up fixings to make your own, with great cold cuts and rolls.

It had that welcoming, hometown vibe where everyone seemed comfortable, and you could tell the staff genuinely cared about the food and the people they were serving. I've had Italian subs all over the country and this one is honestly the best I've ever had. Fresh bread, quality meats, crisp toppings, and everything perfectly balanced. Nothing flashy, just an incredible sandwich made the right way. The biggest compliment I can give is that before heading to the airport to fly back to California, I made sure to stop here one more time. I knew I'd regret leaving without one last Italian sub and I even bought a shirt as a souvenir. If you're anywhere nearby, don't overthink it. This is one of those rare places that lives up to the hype. Great food, great people, and the kind of hometown atmosphere that makes you feel like you've been coming here for years!

The cookie dough dipped in chocolate and chocolate cherries looked amazing. They were making chicken cutlets. I was extremely close to getting a chicken cutlet sandwich. They use their oven roasted beef for the cheesesteak. I was surprised how different the texture was from a steak. $8 cheesesteak. They don't have a menu (except for party trays) so you make up what you want and voila. The staff was very friendly and professional, especially for their young age. The young man who made our food said, "I hope you like it," when he handed them off to us, which was very thoughtful. It shows pride in good work, which is really appreciated. Meats were decent and fresh, rolls fresh too. I was told I'd get a 12" roll for $5.50, which would have been an amazing deal, and I was all ready to rave about the deal on Yelp, but what I got was only an 8" roll, which, in light of my anticipation, was kind of disappointing, but for $5.50 it was still a good deal for the quality of deli meats. The store was clean and tidy. There was a dining area if you wants to eat in, and typical selection of tastykakes, chips, drinks, etc. that come with the deli atmosphere. Typical old school corner store.

You'll be looking for Maxi's Bar which is located next door and connected via an inside door between the two businesses. I found parking across the street, which was metered! The staff inside was very friendly and helpful. They were passionate about the food and you could tell by the way they described everything to me. The owner was sitting at a table chatting with a couple of old veterans. He was nice and very appreciative for my business. They had a TV inside with the midday news on. The menu had a lot to choose from (burgers, steak sandwiches, chicken, roast beef and meatballs to name a few, but I wanted to see what "THE PORK BOSS" theme on the menu's was all about. I ordered the Hot Hooker at $13.75 - Smoked Hot links (think foot long hot dogs), topped with House pulled pork, mild provolone & bacon, topped with Ghost Pepper BBQ sauce. The sandwich was huge. The bread was fresh, pulled pork was a tad dry, but the bbq sauce made up for it. I would have asked for sharper provolone, but I'm not sure if they had it. The bacon was crispy and the hot links provided a nice kick, but lacked the smoke I was looking for. If they make that BBQ sauce homemade and available for purchase I would be a buyer. Overall it was a huge meaty meal of a 'wich and it held together really well! If I'm in the area I'll return for a second round. The menu is well rounded and the staff knows how to put together a sandwich!
