I just found this place recently and I've only been here 3 times. This place has been busy all three times and I went at differents time of the day. My first two were excellent, the third not so much. I've had an old world Italian hoagie and a roast beef hoagie, had the mini size and both were jam packed with delicious ingredients. There was a time I could have eaten the largest size, which is 3 times the size of the mini, but as an old man the mini was perfect. My most recent visit I ordered a regular size kielbasa with sauerkraut, which for most of the sandwiches would be like the medium size, for the kielbasa is was the smallest they offered. Well, I should have asked for the kraut on the side because when I got home the nice Aversa's roll was soggy, my fault there. On the other hand the kielbasa tased like Hillshire Farm mass produced crap. When the guy got it from the refrigerated cooler where they keep the deli meats he carried it with both hands in a manner as to hide the package it was in, I thought it was odd at the time but didn't think any more about it, until I got home and realized why. While waiting for my sandwich, I saw what looked like 'real' kielbasa in with the deli meats so I was very disappointed when I went to enjoy the sandwich only to have the taste and texture to like be a glorified hot dog. Overall I like the place, the prices and hoagies are great. But, I now know not to order anything but the hoagies here. read more

Above average Delco deli, although ALL of the meat wasn't on top! The business itself is pretty big, they are a full service deli and have a lot of Italian specialties/sides. I stopped in for lunch and they had a line waiting for sandwiches. They use Aversa's rolls, I went with an regular sized 11" Italian hoagie which had imported Ham, Genoa Salami, sweet Capicola and Provolone Cheese. Lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles were also on the sandwich. The sandwich was around $8 which is a steal. It was just the right size and they didn't skimp on the meats. I've read some negatives on the staff. They were nice to me, especially for being under the pressures of a lunch rush. All in all I think for that area of Delco they are top 3 for a sandwich in my humble opinion. I would repeat to try some of their other offerings. read more

Picked up both an Italian and a tuna hoagie just around Christmas. It was the first time I'd been and the folks behind the counter were warm and gracious despite it being filled with customers. Update: I've become a regular client of the deli, and I have to bump to 5 stars. They're always so nice, and they slice prosciutto expertly AND wrap it up nicely. Tip: get a package of long hots, a few seeded rolls, some prosciutto, some ham, and some spicy capicola. Round it out with Tomatoes, onions, and pickles. The subs you make like this at home won't look as pretty as the ones Car Mira makes but they'll be pretty damn delicious. read more

They are so so slow. Their website is just awful. Food is very good but it's definitely not worth the trouble.

Recently had a large tray of sandwiches made up by them, 4 different types along with sides. Sandwiches were packed and neatly made and just wonderful. This place! So good! Old fashion deli and sandwich shop that can put together a roast pork sub that tastes just like the angels floated it down from heaven just for you. Top quality ingredients and bread make everything that much better. Along with deli meats and cheeses, they offer frozen Italian dishes and seasonal homemade soups the only thing a person might quibble about is they do not do cheese steaks. However, if they did do cheese steaks, they would run every cheese steak place in Delco out of business. And you would grouch about that too. Something has happened here. Not sure if it's new ownership or a generation change. First time in over a month they "weren't out of rolls" and was actually able to place an order. The "Italian" was mostly ham. Nothing like before. The "Authentic " had only one pepper and two slices of tomato. a lot of onion, even when there was supposed to be no onions. Needed hoagies for the Eagles game at the Linc and remembered I had this place bookmarked. A perfect opportunity to check it out! Grabbed an Italian and a Turkey. They even wrapped it in plastic to carry them into the stadium. Winning! Two things struck me while I sampled the Italian. The first - this is a delicious hoagie. Great roll. Stuffed full of cheese and meat. Nice spices and oil. Perfect. The second - what the flambonious are pickles doing in this sandwich? Who puts pickles in an Italian hoagie. NOTE TO SELF - order no pickles next time. My lady enjoyed the turkey hoagie as much as I did the Italian. She also was not a fan of the pickles. Listen I am a regular in here. They know my mom and I. There hoagies and hots are made with love. Their salads are nice size and with make you whole. Seafood salad and other yummys made that day. Whenever I'm in town I stop by this place and get a supreme Italian Special Hoagie. This type of deli is becoming a less common occurrence around the country and I will continue this habit of eating here until this place or me is no more. The Italian Special: Fresh rolls and stacked fillings (Genoa Salami, Sweet Cappocolla, Provolone Cheese and Imported Ham) -- what else can a hungry guy want? I've ventured away from this choice to try the chicken cutlets and the "nigerian" (Turkey, Roast Beef and Corn Beef and cheese). For a nice change-up I get the poppers which is pepper-wrapped mozarella in extra-virgin olive-oil. I loved it all.
