    Dan!

I found Dan on yelp and took a group sailing for my mom's 70th birthday! Dan was a great host, super knowledgeable, easy-going, and chatty in the nicest way. Scheduling and communication were super easy over email, and when we arrived 15 minutes early he was ready and waiting for us! Our small group (5 adults in their 30's through 70s) really enjoyed the trip, and enjoyed that he asked us to help with small tasks as we were sailing ("Would you like to steer for a minute?"), and that we were able to sail around and pretty much see whatever we wanted to see. Highlights were seeing the sunset behind the Golden Gate and sailing under the Bay Bridge for a unique view. Older folks/those with mobility issues will have some challenges (it is a sailboat afterall, not a cruise ship), but Dan did great with helping mom in & out of the boat and answering all of our questions. Definitely recommended and i will probably be back for a future event! Bonus - cute dog!

Captain Dan and his four legged first mate Sali were awesome sailing buddies. Dan was super friendly and gave us the low down before we got on his 40' sailboat. Life vest were provided and even Sali had one! The entire crew consisted of my husband and myself, his parents, Captain Dan and Sali. We took of from the Berkeley Marina and sailed towards San Francisco. We docked at pier 1 1/2 and decided to have dinner at Hardwater. We became fast friends with Dan and invited him to join us for dinner. We ended up leaving San Francisco around 7 pm and set out for a night time sail back to Berkeley. The winds were light so it was a longer trip back but so relaxing and calm. The views of San Francisco at night from a sailboat are just amazing. Can't wait to go out sailing with Captain Dan and Sali again!

    Beautiful Sunset!

If I could leave 10 stars I would! This was the perfect gift and Captain Dan was an amazing host. I had a lot of questions before sailing and his communication was always fast and very detailed. He has so much knowledge/passion for sailing and it shows. He didn't have to use the engine once! Pretty impressive. His adorable, and very well trained dog Sali joined us. He allows you to bring drinks and food (normally you can not or it's an extra charge at other places). I will be back with friends! Thanks again Captain Dan, and Sali!

Our group met at the Berkeley Marina, poured ourselves a glass of wine, and ventured out into the open ocean.

Apparently Zack was hyper focused on them almost the entire time, moving their equipment around without asking, hovering over them, ordering them around, and even openly made fun of my partner for the noises he made while using the bathroom! This was obviously targeted as my partner had observed over the trip that no one else on the boat was being treated this way. A different crew member had actually noticed this as well and agreed with my partner about Zack's behavior. To me this is insanely unacceptable to have someone like this on a boat crew that hosts people. My partner was super excited for this trip, he spent a lot of money for him and his friends to go and put in a lot of effort to make the trip happen. It's not often he does stuff for himself and he was really looking forward to it. After he came home he was just about in tears talking about it. It really hurts to see someone you care about look so crushed. My partner is a kind, friendly, and respectful person and did not do anything to deserve this kind of treatment. I'm really disappointed and angry for him and his experience. Aside from that - his experience with the rest of the crew and Captain J was great. Thank you Captain J for hearing him out afterward. I strongly recommend getting rid of this guy before he messes things up for your business and continues to hurt people. It's complete BS for this kind of thing to happen to not just a respectful paying customer but someone who didn't do anything but be black. Come on.

Captain Joe is nothing short of stellar--professional, knowledgeable, and laser-focused on putting his anglers on the fish. The deckhands were equally impressive, constantly circling the boat, checking lines, untangling rigs, and making sure everyone was dialed in from start to finish. Their attentiveness and energy created a truly stress-free and fun environment. Every single angler on board got their limit of two huge king salmon and the energy on deck was incredible. Captain Joe clearly knows where the fish are, and the whole crew made the trip smooth, fun, and memorable. I've been on other charters, but this one is by far the best. Can't wait to book again--highly recommend Sea Wolf Sportfishing so save me a seat and tell the Captain hello!

I found that out for myself one Sunday morning. Got to the Emeryville docks at 4:30am for the 5:30am departure. Everyone on the charter was very friendly and willing to share their tips and thoughts on charters and the rockfish we were about to go out and catch. The ride takes you two hours out to sea past the GGB near the Faralon Islands where the awesome deckhands will take you to catch sanddabs first as bait for lingcod. I was able to hook up on some lings with the help of a very experienced friend but set my drag a bit too tight and lost the beast. We moved onto rockfish and easily caught limit with the help of great gear, great location, and great knowledge, all of which, you get from being on an awesome charter! Not only does the Seawolf crew know the best places to fish but they're also extremely friendly and helpful. They make rounds to check to make sure all of the patrons are well taken care of by helping untangle lines, offering to help tie lines on your behalf, going around and gaffing fish as they see you need help! Such an awesome crew. If you want a charter that will take care of you and get you to your limit of fish and leave you feeling taken care of, take the Seawolf out.
