There is nothing like the tranquility of a calm sail at sea. But... as someone who is known to upchuck just by looking at the ocean waves, I was pretty hesitant to go for a sail.... I get megga seasick and will feel ill for hours after a bad sail. I thought all was lost. Are you tearing up? Because I am. Ok not really....Until, Hail Hokahey - a vessel that is very stable and easily glides through the chop coupled with Jan's nav skills that keep us away from stressful seas kept my breakfast safely digesting in my gut. Jan is courteous, genuine, caring, organized, and creates a positive vibe. Ive always enjoyed the new people I've met on our sails. Nice mix of silent time and social. I rented the vessel for a day long meditation sea retreat and it was marvelous from start to finish. Seeing the bay, exploring angel island, sharing a meal with new friends, and feeling rejuvenated by the healing seas.... Go. You will not be disappointed.

Our friends(Lisa and Brian) invited us to join them on Great Expectations); a Sailing trip to watch The Blue Angels take flight over the Bay Area! Literally enjoyed the: blue skies, the company of sailing boats on the water, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and excellent company! Captain Brian-kept us moving along with comfort. We spent the day-Looking Up in the sky at the stunning planes especially --- the U.S. Navy Blue Angels! Loved the experience and welcoming vibe of this club. Previously, we took the Freda B on the Wildlife Morning Sail in 2024, which was also fantastic. What makes the Freda B special is the crew. The vessel itself is gorgeous--even the "head" is great! From the moment you board and are greeted by the crew, you know you're in good hands. The safety instructions are thorough, and the crew immediately puts you at ease before setting off. Whether you have a clear night or a little fog (like tonight), the skies are beautiful, the Golden Gate Bridge is magical, and San Francisco twinkles in the distance.
