That is an amazing experience as old school stuff and I absolutely loved it. I have been back there twice you go in you pick a number and you wait your turn. Stay away from Bob. He asks how you want it cut and then proceeds to cut his way which is not even close to what I asked for.

went to Captain Bill's and I received the worst haircut. I've had in my life by the guy at the end named John. the haircut was so crooked and hacked up. I waited a week and went to Bonnie and Clyde's, and Chris kind of fixed it up the best she could even she shook her head. I don't know about the other barbers there, but John should be cutting sheep. Reluctantly, I ventured out to Captain Bills today for a badly needed haircut. They are seriously complying with Covid-19 guidelines. You don't even enter the shop till it's your turn. The entire shop has been re-configured due to guidelines. All barbers are wearing masks and chairs are wiped down after each client And, as always, they are the nicest people in town. Just moved to the area. Mary did my 4 year olds and did an amazing job. She gave him her phone and put on a kids show on while she did his hair. Desirae did my hair. I'm military and have a military board in North FL tomorrow which required me to have a fresh cut. She had no issue giving me a great low fade. Will definitely be coming back. read more

The best barber shop in Florida! Captain Bill himself is exceptionally friendly, the staff are all friendly and I've never seen a customer leave unhappy. Bill himself cuts my hair and he can do any style on any age or gender! I started with a flat-top, went to a fade, then went to a clean line style. The services there are excellent and the pricing is exceptionally reasonable! I would recommend Captain Bills to everyone. I just moved here from up north in November. I didn't get a haircut until I went back up in July. The reason, because there wasn't any place that stuck out advertising men's haircuts. I'll admit, I'm particular about my haircuts and I had a favorite salon at home. I haven't been to a barber shop since I was in the military in the 80's. I even contacted Desi's salon and asked if they do men's hair. Of course she said yes but of 39 pictures on her site, none are of men. She said she would add some pictures of men, but never did. So obviously there's no motivation to court men. I would guess because they don't get as much for men? Anyway, while at a clothing store in Buffalo, a guy from this area suggested Captain Bills. Last week, despite some misgivings, I went in. 4 barbers were busy cutting hair. There were a few waiting so I took a number. I'll admit, I almost left. I don't like to disparage anyone's business but at 58, I was the youngest person in the shop, other than a lady barber. Two of the guys in the chairs were getting cut, but their hair was a half inch long?? All the typical stereotypes were alive and well here. My number was called and I got the oldest barber there. He turned out to be extremely pleasant and nice. I got a "medium" haircut ???? And, although short, it really wasn't a bad haircut! I'm not 1000% sold on them but I'm going to go back and try another barber and see how it goes. I'll tell you this, the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. If you are currently going to a barber, try Captain Bills in Punta Gorda!! After going a few times, I will edit this review. read more

A barbershop the way it should be. It's as much about the jawing as the haircutting. Need a recommendation for anything from cement work to brain surgery...just ask Capt Bill. You can't get this much entertainment for 13 bucks anyplace else. read more
