I should have listened to my gut and the reviews, and stayed away from this establishment. The previous owners Whiz were wonderful and took care of your car. Captain Car wash are only out for your money. They are higher than other establishments and not worth the money spent here. The exterior of my car was still very dirty. I pointed this out to the manager and he was very rude saying I should have payed extra for prewash. Not helpful at all. I paid $44 for this nonsense. I took a towel and began cleaning the car. This is loose dust. Just wiping the exterior and the towel was completely brown. They sent one of the workers to take the towel from me that I should go somewhere else and clean my car. After being out of town for several weeks due to work travel, my car had a significant amount of dirt/grime on it, and I needed a wash. I came here, and as I knew some of the "grime" was sap, I paid for the most expensive wash, and looked at the options for the ad-on services listed on the board, and it appeared that there were no additionally services that focused specifically on the level of grime. Upon getting out to my finished car, I noticed several remaining spots of either bird poop/sap, and when I asked about this, I was told sap wouldn't come off. I moved my car to a nearby parking lot as the customers around me were impatient as I asked just a couple questions (2ish minutes before they started angrily complaining at me, staff said nothing). After moving my car, I got out a microfiber cloth I keep in my car and with some car cleaning spray I keep in my car, I was able to relatively easily remove some of the spots. Not a simple once over, but with a small bit of rubbing. I called to express my frustration and was told to come back. When I came back, they told me that "they could clean cars but not make new ones," and referred me back to the same individual who had initially told me that the spots couldn't be removed. Told then that there were no options. No apologies other than saying sorry, sap can't be removed (which my quick experiment had proved otherwise). No additional options. Blunt and unhelpful customer service. To add, there was dirt left, and a spot on the backseat that had clearly not even been attempted to be removed (a once over with a cloth they left in the car next to it wiped it up). $42 dollars later and I will never be returning. Quite a frustrating experience given the lack of customer service. And a quick note, because I have worked in the service industry and do acknowledge that a busy establishment can impact the service... the queue was moderately busy when I came in, but only 2 cars were in the buffing area when I returned read more

I went there today. I was charged $26 for a SUV wash and $10 extra for the interior and windows. When the car was finished I drove off only to realize that only 1 side of the interior windshield was cleaned. So I went back and spoke with the manager. He said the windshield was not included in what I paid for. I told him that I specifically paid extra because I wanted the windshield clean. He again said it was not included. I said to him that I will find a new place to get my car washed. He said ok. This is really sad. I've been coming here for almost 30 years. Not any more. I'm done. The two star rating is indeed an accurate, earned rating. Paid $39 for a Ford Explorer and the cleaning was definitely sup-par. Inside was not completely cleaned- including obvious footprints not wiped off seats and a floor area that looked like it wasn't even done (though I do believe it was?) Went here as the car needed to be cleaned that day and they are opened an hour later than Wash works near us. Good enough this time due to timing and it HAD to get done then, but wouldn't use them again unless only other interior option still open and the boss is coming into town. I mean, after coming here my car is cleaner than it was before it was washed (yay! because it sure needed a wash), but as others have mentioned, they don't really do a thorough job of cleaning the car. The front windows weren't cleaned well, and the interior wasn't really wiped down. I was also supposed to get a "car freshener," and I picked "new car scent," but they forgot to spray that today. ‍ Also, keep in mind that you will likely have to wait in your car in a long line; this is where you select your wash and have people vacuum out your car. There has never been a time I haven't waited for at least 10-15 minutes. Additionally, it's like $28, and I don't think it was worth paying all of that. But, coming here did save me from having to manually vacuum and such on my own. I will say that the customer service, outside of the slow initial wait, was pretty good. The cashier also gave me a frequent buyer card, so they do have a rewards program if you're interested. I also noticed signs posted that said you can join a club to get monthly car washes. They have a tiny waiting area with a few seats. After coming here today, I was reminded why I've only been here a handful of times and only come when I absolutely need a car wash. read more

I've visited this car was only 2 times since living in the area. The first time i paid $60 to have the interior and exterior of my car cleaned. They did an okay job. My inside was not throughly wiped down, windows left uncleaned and tires weren't completely dried to remove access oil. I still tipped them $20 because i try not to take away from Effort. Fast forward to today. I attempted to get a interior detail with my seats shampoo/conditioned, exterior wash, and disinfectant. I informed the worker of my experience last time he said they will def try to clean it better this time. I was satisfied with his response so i proceeded to pay. I informed the cashier of the same thing just looking for reassurance that my car will be cleaned throughly. My company has a contract with Captain Car Wash. It gies back to the days when it was the Whiz Car Wash. They had folks there at that time that did a reasonable job, and would often go the extra mile to take care of the customer. I took my car to Captain Car Wash, and the staff acted as if my car wasn't worth their time. They did a half assed job vacuuming the car, and then told me I had to drive the car through the car wash myself, even though there was much heavy residue that needed to be removed with a brush. After I came out of the wash, the attendant mumbled and yelled, pointed to where I was to park and go pay. I went in, paid, and brought my receipt. Two of the attendants wiped down the exterior of my car. They took my receipt and walked away. I said our contract said we have our windows cleaned on the interior. One attendant just threw her had up, shook her head no and walked away. The other spoke in broken English that they "don't do windows". I called for a manager, and one who claimed to had no knowledge of our contract in broken English. He turned and walked away from me. I left with dirty windows, and called my boss to let him know that they didn't finish the job. My company is now looking for a new car wash to service our vehicle fleet. I took my SUV in to get washed. Since I was there last they changed their pricing structure. I was surprised because they were already charging $28 to $35 for a good cleaning. Now, they charge the same for just the exterior. If you want the interior cleaning, that will cost $10 to $20 depending on how clean you want the inside of your car. It is really just a way to charge you more for the same work. However, after this experience, I have to say the work is questionable. As I pulled out of the auto car wash, (yes, you drive it thru the wash because of Covid) I drove my SUV to the spot where the "wipers" were waiting. I went inside to pay and by the time I came back from paying the bill, they said my car was ready. I've been going to that car wash for 20 years and they have never been that fast. When I went over to my car I could see the soapy wheel cleaner had not been rinsed off. When I asked about it, the wiper just shrugged his shoulders. Most of the wipers do not understand English so any complaint is not always understood. The worst part was when I looked at the roof, it was as dirty as when I brought it in. Again, the wipers just ignored me. When I went to the manager, he said, "we'll take care it" and told the wipers to clean it. They still would not budge. Finally, one of the wipers tried to clean the roof with a dry cloth. That is a bad idea. For one, a dry cloth will not clean dirt off of metal. And second, using a dry cloth on dirt will rub the grains of dirt and scratch the finish. Any car wash shop should know that. So this wiper gave up. So now the manager comes over and proceeds to do the same. He yells out that "it won't come off". I told him of course not because you are using a dry cloth. A little soap and water should do the job. He refused to do that. He said that it will cost an extra $30 to clean the roof. I told him you need a wet cloth to clean the roof. So he kept repeating, "30 dollars, 30 dollars..." He just ignored anything I had to say and kept yelling "30 dollars" I became angry but I also could not believe that a car wash will only clean your car if it's not that dirty. If it does not come off in the auto car wash, with the brushes and rubber straps, then you are out of luck. So I got in the car and drove off. When I got home, I immediately grabbed a bucket with some soapy water. I wiped the roof with the soapy water and it came off easily. I finished the whole roof, washed and dried, in about 10 to 15 minutes. A car wash is a car wash. You wash the car until it is clean. You don't stop because the auto wash was not able to clean the roof. It's funny, at one point the lady manager came outside and asked me when was the last time I cleaned my car. As if I was at fault for not cleaning my car often enough. I told her that it shouldn't matter when I cleaned my car. You wash cars and my car is still dirty. It cost me $46 for a half-ass car wash. They wanted to charge an extra $30 for the roof. Have you ever heard of a car wash costing $76? I am not talking about detailing, that's entirely different. This is just a regular car wash. The new owners have improved this place slightly but not enough to charge $35 for an automated car wash. My biggest issue is that I always have to go over and re-wipe/ clean my windshield due to streak marks that can only be seen at night. This place is absolutely horrible and the management is even worse. I paid for a hand car wash. My car came out looking like the 1st picture still full of visible dirt. I stopped the manager and asked him to finish washing my car he told me to pull forward and that he wasn't finished. Having used this facility many times before I knew that where he was pointing me to go did not have a viable water source but only rags to dry. His version of finishing was to have a group of people take rags and windex and use windex to smear the surface dirt all over my car to finish the wash. I told him that that was not acceptable and I would not pay for such. He said I refused to pay him and called the police. I explained that I refused to pay for what I did not receive. My car was clearly not washed. After a lengthy discussion with the officer, he decided to rewash my car. This is the very thing I was asking from from the beginning when I noticed the car was still extremely dirty. The owners inside were even worse. They didn't want to deal with me and told me to go talk to the police and he can provide whatever information I need. Eventually I was given a card for the owner as I will be contacting them. Last but not least, the way they treat their Latino workers is completely unacceptable. The manager was screaming at them telling them if they missed one spot he was going to fire them on the spot. This is completely unacceptable way to treat any human being and I do wish that someone would be able to advocate for these workers. I'm pretty sure it's not leagal to verbally abuse employees. Which is an inconvenience if you work during the day. I understand closing when it rains, snows, or there is inclement weather.
