Ahhhh Captain Dry Clean, how I've missed you the last couple weeks! This place is simply the best. Mike is always holding down the fort, keeping me looking presentable to the outside world. They do pickup and drop off, specialty items, all in a timely manner. Everything is always done perfectly and the price is very fair. Had a corporate account with them. They constantly charged me tax after telling over and over again we were tax exempt. Would bring items over and WEEKS later they were still not done. Worst customer service! They still owe me the difference in charging me for tax but I gave up a long time ago. Feel bad for their workers in the summer. It is clear that Captain Dry Clean operates at a capacity it cannot handle, or is mismanaged. I was given two verbal estimates of when my clothing would be ready, and both were missed (first estimate, about 48 hours after they picked up the clothing from my house. The second estimate, one week after that pickup). The only explanation I was given was that I gave them more laundry than they expected. I gave them three tall kitchen-size bags of laundry and one bag of dry cleaning. In total, Captain Dry Clean had my clothing for 12 days. On the 11th day they admitted that had not yet started washing my clothing. This came after many calls and emails from me. At that time I decided to cancel their services, pick up my clothing from the store, and give my business to another Trenton area laundry service. Worst dry cleaning services ever. They charge an arm and a leg, which would be fine if they actually did a nice job. I normally take my clothes to a $1.99 dry cleaner and they always do a great job. But I specifically took an expensive color block dress with real leather to this dry cleaner because of the reviews on yelp and my boyfriend takes his shirts there and never had a complaint. Captain dry clean completely ruined my dress. They damaged the leather and stained the white part of the dress with black spots. Worst part... It's been 5 weeks and nothing has been resolved. I go back every Friday and the owner has a new excuse. Also, he charged me $25 to get it cleaned!! Still no refund or insurance claim. It's absurd. Avoid this place. Too expensive, poor quality, and bad customer service. read more

"It's always in the last place you look." Moving here three years ago, I tried every dry cleaner on the three-mile drive from home to my kids' day care. First, there was the "Pay Up Front and Tip Us Too" gyp joint, a 2 minute walk from my front door. Hello and goodbye. Then came the "You've been coming here for two years but we won't bother to remember your name, and oh, we are slowly ruining your shirts" place near Firkin Tavern. Sayonara! More recently, there was the "Super nice people but in what universe does a cleaners not starch dress shirts?!?" place near Deli-Licious. Of the three so far, I was actually sorry to take my business away from these very friendly people, but no starch is a deal-breaker. I was running out of options. As a last resort, I figured I would try the Captain, seeing as I drive past it twice a day. My only regret is that I didn't find this place three years ago. The owner and staff are extremely friendly, and they treat you like their business depends on you (HINT: Fully 90% of all retail businesses functioning today do NOT get this - like it costs money to be nice or something!). So far mike has also sent bags of things left in my pockets from cuff links, collar stays,band cash! Really good marketing 2 for 1 deals. Love everything. Best part. They come to me twice a week. Simple note with special instruction if needed. I called to have my cuff Link shirt sleeves clipped. The captain now always does it. Highly recommended. For dry cleaning there never seems to be a difference between all the choices expect most go out of bus. Big diff here. I drive all the way out early Sunday morning to drop off my suits...well, you're not open on Sundays and apparently haven't been for some time because the sign on the door shows Sunday hours as CLOSED. Capt. Dry Clean saved the day!!! Was invited to a wedding by a friend with about 6 hours notice and every suit I own was in a tangled ball stuffed into a bag in the trunk of my car because I had been procrastinating bringing the lump of about 9 suits and an array of miscellaneous shirts etc. I showed up at 10:00 a m, 4 hours prior to my departure time for the weekend ruining surprise wedding with zero confidence that they could have even one suit and one shirt cleaned and pressed in time, alone everything in the jumbled pile I dumped on the counter. . But about 2 hours later the called to tell me everything was ready, a full hour earlier than promised at that. To my amazement everything was cleaned pressed and perfect. The wedding was a disaster, but Captain Dry Clean made that portion of the disaster a very pleasant experience!!! I have a new dry cleaners for life. My sincerest appreciation to the staff.
