Stopped after a family event in the springs. The staff were very friendly and the building was clean. The ordering process went really well, especially for such a large party. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. My only issue was that the iced tea dispenser was open and in the public area. That's a very bad idea in the modern world. We've been going to this location for several years. The service and quality of food has gradually gone down. Today, my baked potato was about 1/3 rotten inside (they cut into it and you could see the black inside). The young man taking the order was using the "F-bomb" loudly in front of customers, when he saw cars pulling into the drive-thru. We probably won't go back now. read more

Went to the one on fillmore, the shrimp was fine, the piece of fish was hard , could hardly bit into it. The fries were rubbery and dry. Won't be going back there. read more

Permanently closed. This had been the better Captain Ds in town and we ate there and got takeout regularly. We were surprised to find it gutted, all signs down, and thanks see ya on the drive up when we went last time. 5 stars for what is was, 1 for being gone now. read more

We dine at this location frequently and it's normally very good. Not sure what happened tonight for dinner but we both ordered the salmon dinner. Our salmon was luke warm at best, the French fries had been sitting in the bin for a long time! They were hard and flat-out cold! My broccoli was cold and I ate only one piece of it! I was very disappointed!!!! My wife's dinner was also subpar and we both left feeling that we got ripped off! That's what you get when you have kids that really don't care! I think I will come back for a while and give them one more try! Really frustrated and disappointed!!! Hopefully, the owner or manager reads this and corrects this ASAP!!!! read more

I didn't like their food. My family likes their food but not me! Fish had a funny taste. Coleslaw was missing something as it had too much dressing they messed up our order! Husband ordered 3 meals and he only received 2. Didn't realize 1 meal was missing until he got back to our motel. Needless to say I got pieces of meals from family. read more

I'm writing this review as I have been in the drive thru line for now about 15 mins unable to get out. it's ridiculous! Now I've gotten my food... I'm guessing the lady in front of me gave her some choice words as she failed to greet me or even apologize for the long wait. Took my payment and saw her having a passionate discussion with her coworker and then comes back to me gives me my card and now is overlly "nice" but in a sarcastic way. I don't expect 5 star restaurant service from fast food places but I do expect some consideration for their customers. They should have a lane to park of a meal is taking way too long to help serve the others. Very disappointed as I've never had an issue here. read more

I must say Karley was very polite, customer service was thru the roof and he gave great tips about the menu. I was very impressed with my order. The southern style fish was fried to perfection and the hush puppies were fluffy and light. The okra was amazing, coleslaw was good and my fries were great. I've always loved Captain D's but over the years stopped eating it because the fish just didn't seem the same any more. I am very upset my food was messed up 3 different times and when I got it back it was still messed up.

I love seafood, but when I went there the lady time, it was so darn greasy. My clam strips were soaking in grease. Needless to say I love clam strips so I ate them, only to have really bad indigestion later. Won't go back here, but I'll be looking for a different location, because this was unusual. read more

Just moved back to Colorado & was so excited that Captain D's is still here! My daughter worked at the Galley Rd location when it first opened, so when she visited recently we had to eat there. Even the kids loved it! Great food & service just like we expected! read more

I really like this location. It fast and always taste so good. The people at the window are quick and courteous. The fries and fish are fabulous. This is my go to when we want fish. I like this place way better than Red Lobster. At least I can go here more often for great tasting food. read more

Pretty good for fast food seafood and they have FRIED OKRA (my favorite). Everything tasted fresh and the customer service was excellent being fast food. Also, the restaurant is clean and they play oldies, which is a breath of fresh air from all the filth of today's AWFUL music (if you want to call it that)! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the fried shrimp! It just wasn't good IMO and next time I would go with fried fish (very good) and grilled shrimp! read more

Alright so, I went to drop off some food to family. And it was by Captain Ds right. So, I wanted some food and I got Captain Ds. The fish fillet was very good. And don't even get me started on their hush puppies. I think if they make a new recipe for their hush puppies, I'm never gonna have another one. The macaroni was alright. I'll give the mac and cheese a two and a half star. I think they can improve the ingredients for their mac and cheese a little more though. read more

We had to drive to the springs from Denver to get a U-Haul and stop to get a snack (since there isn't any in Denver anymore). Had 2 orders of funnel cakes. It was amazing! As I get older I fit in better with the normal clientele! There's something I've always loved about Captain D's and this one is just like the rest. Sure, it's not a healthy way to eat fish, but I don't care one bit! The staff is always friendly and there's usually a deal to be found. Holy ship! Captain D's is D-lish and really takes me back to the days of my youth when Long John Silvers used to be good. The battered cod tastes great and has surprisingly almost no grease! The clam strips and slaw are really good too but the hush puppies are the real booty! The nautical decor also takes me back to Long John Silvers in the 1970's with its fisherman's theme. About the only thing missing are those kiddie pirate hats I used to get at Long John Silvers as a kid and I totally would have gotten one and worn it too! Ahoy mateys! read more

Its great when they get my order right. The first couple times I went it was on point, but every time after that it's been a hit or miss. I've had to request a refund twice within the last couple of months because they just couldn't get my order together and it was only a fish sandwich! First time it was missing the cheese, the second time the bread was hard as a rock, and third time it was ice cold! But like I said, great food when they get it right. read more
