I don't know why there's so many negative reviews. But people need to realize that fast food isn't Michelin star restaurant. If ya wanna be bougie and critical, take your butt to a steakhouse. This place was perfect. I didn't use the bathrooms, but the inside was pretty clean. Everybody was super nice, and even one of the cooks asked me how my day was! That was super nice, because I always ask others but no one ever asks me! My only complaint, is that I LOVE lemon or lemon juice on my chicken and fish. They didn't have any here, but the nice lady that took my order gave me extra malt vinegar! I did an order on the app, and stopped at an adjacent store and went in to get my order. I had to wait a bit but it's not like I have an appointment with the president or something. Really, what's a big deal and having to wait a little bit? Why are people in such a rush to go nowhere? I ordered the fish and chicken platter. It was like 17 bucks or something, and I got mac and cheese for a side. The food was super fresh, came out super hot, and for the amount of food I got, I can eat on this for 2 or 3 days. I seriously don't mind when I place an order and it's not ready, when it comes out as fresh as it did. All the employees were super nice, and my food was super good, and I have leftovers tucked in my hotels refrigerator!! Beyond this restaurant's control, the app completely erased all of my rewards points because I haven't ordered in a few months, but it is what it is. This restaurant has the worst smell. As soon as you walk in the door. The smell of urine is soooo bad we turned around and walked right out. I have reported this to the Health Dept. This is totally unacceptable. read more

We just stopped at Captain D's drive thru for a quick bite. We waited at least 15 minutes after they took our order so we thought for sure everyone's food would be hot and fresh. No! They basically served everyone else's food old and cold (fish and shrimp) while they cooked the catfish for 1 of 3 orders. News flash! Everyone's food needs to be hot and fresh not just one person. Stopped at the drive thru at just after 8pm 4-6-2022 Ordered 2 meals got home and found a day old Baked Potato the inside hard, crusty and dark!!!! Which I charged Extra for.. My question is for the one who's is responsible.. Would you feed this to your Mother or maybe to your Son or Daughter? This made me scared to eat the rest of the food. Since there's NO Sign of Quality Control. I hope Henry County will get out and inspect before you have a chance to apply food standards. Horrible. If you must go and want your food timely and served hot, go to the drive thru. The girl working the front counter this evening was also working the window, and I found out the hard way it would have been better to wait in the line of cars than walk in. After ordering, this girl was in no rush to hand over my food. Number after number was called, and it almost seemed as if she was purposely overlooking my order. I finally had to speak up when the latest person to walk in received their food quickly. All the while, my food was sitting on the counter. As suspected, it was cold and the fish was old and dry. Ate dinner here tonight and what should have clued us in was the lack of cars in the lot! One of our orders was the 2 piece catfish..so salty we couldn't eat it! If zero stars were an option... Ten+ minutes to get "fast food." Food was room temp at best. Hush puppies were so cold - little pieces of lard were visible inside the breading. Employees moved with very little enthusiasm and slower than molasses. Two customers who came to the restaurant just after we ordered were still at the counter waiting on their food when we finished and left. Coleslaw tasted sour. Tartar sauce tasted BLAND. The drive thru was SLOW & the drive thru worker was not friendly at all (never said hello you can order when ready... she only said what can I get for you ) and lacked customer service training. When I got to the window she still didn't say hello, hi, hey nothing... but provided me with my total. Luckily, I had been craving Captin D's otherwise... I would have left. This is a great Captain D's location. The food is always hot and fresh and if it isn't they gladly replace it with hot and fresh food sans attitude. The atmosphere seems to be a litlte more upscale than other locations I have been to in the past as well. I like that they have plenty of bottles of malt vinegar that you can take to your table as well. LJS usually has like 1 or 2 bottles for the entire restaurant but Captain D's has plenty. I love me some malt vinegar. My wife hates it so I go out of my way to irritate her by drowning my fish and crunchies in the stuff. She says it smells like feet. LOL read more

The best Captain D's I've been to. The food is always hot and fresh, and if it's not they always make it right. Their grilled salmon is better than what's served at most restaurants for twice the price. The staff is friendly and it's usually pretty clean. Defiantly worth the money. read more

38 minutes in the drive thru. The first 12 minutes was to place the order. At 7pm they are already be out of baked potatoes and Mac and cheese. 7 cars left in front of me or pulled around behind me. I have tried this place on several different occasions but every time I do I end up with cold food or food that is not cooked. I am considering going to a higher level with this complaint because I am under the impression I am not the only one getting this kind of service. The manager is not in any shape form or fashion capable of dealing with a customer that is not satisfied therefore relies on her staff to rescue her from a customer with a complaint. I would have given this place a minus star had I been able but was not.
