While LongHorn is not a restaurant I tend to go to very often, it tends to always be a pretty solid choice. I went to this one with my family while we were on a trip to Griffin. The restaurant itself seemed like the pretty standard LongHorn experience that you would expect. We went on the later side on a week night and were able to get a table for the 4 of us pretty immediately. Our service was great and quick. We ordered the Redrock Grilled Shrimp with a Caesar salad and broccoli, LongHorn Salmon with a house salad and sweet potato, a Renegrade Sirloin with a Caesar salad and a loaded baked potato, and an extra side of Steakhouse Mac and Cheese. All of our food was yummy and the servings were plenty food for all of us. Also they asked how my mom wanted her salmon cooked and I've never heard anyone ask that question before! She got it medium-well and thought that was perfect. Parking at this location is super easy with a big attached parking lot that's free. All in all, we had a great experience. read more

My cousin was in town and I decided that we should try Longhorn based on the reviews from the Spalding County discussion website. Unfortunately my experience started off bad...but ended much better...once we arrived we were told that it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait for them to clean off some booths if we wanted to sit in one, a few minutes later I asked if we could sit at a table. The hostess escorted us to a table. As we waited I began looking around and I'd noticed that there were people that was seated after us placing their orders with a server. We continued looking at the menu... 20 minutes went by and I decided to get the manager Chas attention and I explained to him that no one had acknowledged us and that we could've went anywhere else and that I chose to come here. He was very apologetic and told my cousin and I that he would "fast track" our order and asked what we were drinking and because of what happened the bill would be on him. As he walked away "our" waitress Kitty came over to us only after the manager spoke to her and several others who appeared to be servers. She explained to us that she wasn't sure who was working the tables in the middle. After all of this she was nice and checked on us every chance she got. Anyway...enough about that...let me tell you about the food! It was soo good! The presentation was good, the temperature was good and the shrimp were spicaaayyyyy!!! I heard that the bread with that butter was good and it was! Will I be going back? Yes, I'm willing to give them another chance. We were hungry for a good Steak. Thought about options around Griffin and decided that Longhorn was the right place. When the waitress came to take our order I asked for a thick steak. At least 1" thick. So she recommended the Longhorn Porterhouse. I asked her if that was the thickest steak, holding my fingers at about 1" apart. She said yes it was thick. When it arrived at the table it looked like a Waffle House steak. 3/8"-1/2" thick!!! I was pissed. All i wanted was the thickest steak they had! It tasted ok but my blood was boiling!!! My husband and I just moved to the area and decided to give this location a try. Walked in and immediately had clean bar seats and was also immediately greeted by Kayla who was 5 stars herself throughout our entire dining experience. I've never eaten at a LongHorn Steakhouse, until today. I was with friends who wanted to eat here. Right off the bat, I found the smell of the restaurant offensive. If I was alone or with my husband, I would have immediately turned around and left. The place stank. Secondly, I had to request condiments three (3x's) ... when I finally gave up and got up to get them for myself (food was getting cold) the waitress finally came. My side order never showed up and I had completely forgotten about it, until the check came. I let them know and they talked me into taking my sweet baked potato "to go". My favorite place to eat an amazing steak! Their steak is the best. I've tried every restaurant from here to Alabama and no one cooks a better steak. The stuffed mushrooms are a wonderful appetizer. Went to the griffin location yesterday night. My server was new but polite and apologetic. My girlfriend and I arrived before two other tables one sitting 8 and the other 3 and yet our food came out after them even though we ordered first. I ordered the salmon which came out undercooked. My girlfriend ordered the chicken and half rack ribs. The food came out cold and burnt. We tried to make the best of it, but gave up and asked for the check. Nothing was comped or even offered. Ok so after my last experience the manager contacted me and spoke with me about my experience. She was very nice and apologized for the whole thing and went above and beyond to make it right. We decided to eat dinner there again last night to give it one more chance. Our server was April and she was awesome, our food came out cooked perfect and was hands down the best steak we have had in this area in a long while. I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 5 just on the fact that Longhorn reached out to me and listened and made corrections and made our return visit one that defiantly makes you want to return. Thank you Longhorn. This location needs serious training with kitchen and servers! We have gone here on 3 separate occasions and every one has been awful. Steaks are never cooked to temp and servers act as if they hate their job. I am a very patient customer as I've spent more than half my life in this industry so I'm very conscious about being in the weeds. I don't think at any time I've ever gotten to eat my meal at the restaurant due to having to send back, This time is wasn't just the steaks it was sides as well. Not once did a manager come over nor did our server offer an apology, just an aggravated sigh and things on our tab we did not order. Still left a 20% tip so I hope she understands that when there are complaints handle them without aggravation then your tip may be even better. The building is pretty standard, with the newer, standard, Longhorn layout (bar on the right, dining room on the left, etc.) Because it's new, it's clean and fresh, if a bit dark, inside. But alas (I always wanted to say that), my carry-out order from the bar was a bit of a miss. I ordered a steak salad with blue cheese. Picking it up, I had to ask for a fork-and-knife pack, which is not a big deal (but good thing I looked!). Upon arriving at my hotel, I discovered that my blue cheese dressing was not, in fact, blue cheese at all, but was RANCH. That's a big miss on a $17 salad. And it was too late and too far to drive back and ask them to switch it out. But I'd give these folks another try, and you should try them, too. read more
