I recently came here for lunch and I was glad I did. I had a craving for chicken gizzards and I saw on Yelp this place had them so I drove on over. The restaurant is hole in the wall-ish, just how I like it. I was quickly greeted and saw on their board that they not only had chicken gizzards but also had fried shrimp...a match made in heaven. I order the #5 (Gizzards and 10 Shrimp) and waited for my order. The serving size (for $10) was huge. Enough gizzards to feed 2 along with the 10 shrimp, French fries, and 2 slices of white bread. The fries were bland and the white bread was white bread but the stars of the show were gizzards and the shrimp, as they should be. The gizzards and shrimp were fresh and seasoned well and tasted great. The cocktail sauce they provided tasted great (with a hint of horseradish or something fragrant like that) and paired well with shrimp. All in all I will be returning! PS...at this point in time I don't think they got roaches...they have a 95 health score and it looked cleaned up from the previous pictures. read more

Stopped here on a biannual Atlanta - Panama City trip. Got some Fried oysters and chicken wings. Wife got some shrimp and okra. I believe all proteins are fried. Wife gave the shrimp 10/10. The oysters, wings, okra, and French fries were also very good. The wings were better than 95% of wings I've had (didn't even need a sauce). This restaurant is great!! you get a lot of food for a low cost. A small gizzard plate will feed at least two people and a large would feed two to three people. The liver plate is the same way. Everything at this establishment comes with fries and there is no substitution for them, but why complain about that? most places you have to pay for fries. The owner is slowly adding new things to the menu, I was recently there again and tried the new stuffed crab, and let me say..... simply amazing!!! 2 stuffed crabs and fries for 5.99!!! I also had the 10 shrimp and fries for $5.99 and it was great they're not jumbo shrimp and they're not small , they are a good large size shrimp! everything that I have tried there has all been very, very outstanding. I totally suggest trying the flounder I was hesitant at first l (only bc i dont like to try new thi gs, fearful it wont be good and i would feel i wasted money) but that is the only fish I will eat there now because it is SO good! The catfish is excellent, and is one of the bigger/meater fish, that is usually what I would get. But I'm kinda stuck on that flounder, lol. Everything is made to order, so there is at least a 10 minute wait, you can call ahead and order, but I am glad its made to order, served piping hot. I wouldn't have it any other way. The only downfall that I have seen so far is the size of the cups ,they need to get a larger size and the sauces. I work in the restaurant business so I totally get the pay for extra sauces. Really good fish sandwich for a good price. Get to choose what kind of fish to eat, plenty to pick from. I had the flounder. The breading on the fish is a corn meal, nice and crispy.
