This area is actually across the parking lot from the boat ramp, but it has its own parking meter (with plenty of parking) and ramp to get onto the sand! You'll know you're in the right area when you see the boat that has been brought ashore by the hurricanes. The actual boat ramp has plenty of parking, fish cleaning stations, areas to fish, and a public restroom! I highly suggest checking this place out because it has plenty of space and greenery to separate any other animals that may also be there! It does say on the sign that dog have to stay leashed, but we were able to let our dog run free because no one else was there for the majority of the time. We did see 3 other dogs for brief moments while we played with a ball and seashells! If you do come I highly recommend an extra long lead for you dog so you don't have to keep them closer but so they can play freely! It is also a great place to get on a paddle board or kayak as you can just walk right up to the water and it's clear enough to put your board in and stand/sit on it! Overall I believe this is a hidden gem that I'd love to keep that way, but I'd love my fellow yelpers to also have a place to go!

Bay Dr., just off Belleair Bluffs. This Pinellas County public park has 24 hour access with 108 boat trailer parking spaces, 98 car parking spaces, a fishing pier, five courtesy docks and 10 boat launches. There's also Belleair Bait & Tackle Co. for any sundries that you may need, a fishing pier, restrooms and a dog park/beach. The dog beach is along the south side of the park which is a hold over from before this park was last developed. FYI, your dog needs to be on a leash. Overall, this is a large public boat launch that's: 1) In an ideal location, 2) Clean and well kept, and 3) An awesome place just to hang out and fish or walk your pooch.

They were informative along the way to and from and the captain even paid for our sodas on the way back in b/c we didn't have cash. The marina itself was easy to access and mostly calm. The check in gentleman was a bit unfriendly and angry in his delivery of orders- but perhaps he had good reason. Just not the most friendly start the day. All of what he said was likely valid, it was just the angry tone in delivery that felt off. All and all, I would definitely book again if we come back to the area!

Our wonderful Airbnb recommended a visit to this nearby nature preserve (walking distance from where we stayed...) and it was a GREAT for a mid-morning stroll (should have gone at sunrise, but VACATION!!) The park looks small-ish from the main road, but venture in and check out the beautiful boardwalk that will have you "up close and personal" with the mangroves, lots of informative signs about the "residents" of this preserve, and if you're luckier than we were, apparently lots of birds and other creatures. The trail is not incredibly well-marked, but it's short enough that even a wrong turn or two won't leave you hopelessly lost. Clean, scenic, COOL in the shade, and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!! Enjoy!!

Baseball hats were priced at $8.95, which is pretty good in my opinion. Simple Clearwater Beach t-shirts were also the same price, anytime I can buy a tee for under $10 it's a decent deal. They had other seashell related souvenirs. Kids beach toys are also for sale. The snack section was small, but they do have a nice amount of drinks, which is handy for those hot beach days. Also for sale were postcards, magnets and stickers. Ice is also for sale!

Walking out on the pier, you get beautiful views of the water and a nice breeze that makes it perfect any time of day. It's a great place to just relax, look out over the bay, and enjoy the scenery. Everything felt clean and well kept, and it wasn't overly crowded, which made the experience even better. The highlight for us was spotting a stingray swimming right near the pier such a cool and unexpected moment. Watching it glide through the water made the whole visit feel special, especially for my daughter. It's those little surprises that turn a good stop into a great one. We had a lot of fun. Overall, the Safety Harbor Pier is a perfect spot for a peaceful walk, some great views, and even a chance to see some wildlife up close. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area we'll absolutely be back.

This has a good trail, two lakes, and the typical Florida plants. It is a very pleasant 2 mile walk…read morearound the trail. There is a boardwalk out to the large lake, but they have neglected it and there are more and more hundreds of square meters of water weeds clogging it. If they don't do something soon, the lake will become unusable. There is a 10 foot alligator in the small lake that you occasionally see, which is fun. He/she sometimes suns himself on the bank so be careful. After Milton and Helene, the squirrels that used to follow you around on the trail are nowhere to be seen, and very few birds either. I suppose over time they will repopulate the park. It's a great way to spend an hour or so.

The service was amazing, all of the employees offered helpful advice for what to buy for where exactly you are fishing. The store was very clean. They are high level Penn, Diawa and Shimano reels and rods ect. There are great lures for local fish along with fresh and frozen bait. I highly recommend the shirts and hats. They are great quality! If you are fishing in the area come to Bluffs!
