River Star Rentals - Our River Star Jet Ski Rental

However, I accidentally went to another rental shop and thought my reservation was there. That rental shop did not tell me my reservation wasn't on their books and so I ended up renting from them, not knowing that I made a reservation with a different company (Riverstar) I ended up having a missed call from an unknown number at 12 and I called it back at 5 only to realize it was Riverstar rentals asking where I was with my reservation and why I didn't show up to get me jet skis. At that moment, I had realized I didn't have a reservation for the skis I picked up. When speaking with the owner (I forget his name) I could tell he was bummed as he held the skis all day waiting for me when they easily could have gone to someone else. Instead of complaining and getting upset with me, he asked if I had fun, was understanding about it and handled it very professionally. I am looking forward to using River Star rentals next time I visit. It's not always about how company's handle things that go right, but how they handle them when they go wrong.

They gave good suggestions on where to be on the water to help keep our family safe on a busy Saturday and helped us enjoy our day on the water! I also really appreciated that the price they quoted was the actual price. We've rented from other locations and there were additional fees not mentioned on the phone and only shared upon time for payment. River Star was transparent from the start.

Not…read moregonna lie, the original text message from them was daunting--but after reading it a couple times, I realized, okay, this is their thoroughness for safety & state law. They're very thorough! Once communication transitioned between Shane & I through text, it was super easy-going--answered all our questions. In the end, I realized how smooth & easy the booking was. From policies to insurance, everything was easy to fill out & clear. We got it done that same night! The boats themselves--especially the bigger ones--were such a pleasant ride. Shane & Antoine were very cool--great music with Bluetooth. They had a grill (wish we used it!) & water toys like the raft--great! Pickup was super easy & convenient. 10/10--if we're back in Laughlin, we'll definitely use them again. Thanks, Shane & Antoine, for the hospitality & great experience!

Unforgettable Day on the Water with Shane!…read more We booked a 6-hour boat tour with Shane that took us from Bullhead Community Park all the way to the gorge, and it was absolutely perfect! Shane had amazing communication from start to finish and made the whole experience effortless for us. We made several stops along the way to cool off and swim in the river, which the teens loved. Shane was so laid-back and easygoing--exactly the vibe we needed for our group of 3 moms and 6 teenagers! His attention to detail during the tour was impressive, and having someone experienced in charge of the boat gave us total peace of mind. We didn't have to worry about a thing--just relax and enjoy the ride. Highly recommend booking with Shane if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back for another

Such an amazing experience and a plus because it was my birthday…read more After looking for things to do in Laughlin, my fiancé reserved a dinner cruise through Laughlin River Tours. It was a bit pricey but well worth the money since it included a 3-course meal. Upon entering the Grand Celebration, we were greeted by the crew and seated at our table. A guy was playing live music, which made the ambience romantic and festive. The tour is approximately 2 hours and cruises through the Colorado River at sunset. Taking in the views and just enjoying our night together made it that much more special. Plus, we were seated with a couple who were celebrating their 40th anniversary. The captain announced all the celebrations and honored everyone, which caused everyone to cheer and just embrace the night. Definitely a great memory of our trip. Our food was pretty yummy too. We opted for the prime rib, and the portion was so huge and unexpected. The potatoes were delicious and seasoned with perfection. I really enjoyed that my table was adorned with a birthday card from the crew, and they also brought me out a birthday cake to end the night. If you are in Laughlin, I highly recommend booking a dinner cruise. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying time with your loved ones, you will have a great night that you will be talking about for a few weeks.

Laughlin River Tours - A Relaxing Way to Spend a Couple of Hours…read more We took the 2 1/2-hour afternoon cruise with Laughlin River Tours up and down the Colorado River, and overall, it was a nice, relaxing way to break up the monotony of the day--and all the gambling and whatnot. The boat has a lower level that is air-conditioned with basically bench-style group seating. There are nice views along both sides of the river, and it's fun watching the jet skis cruising up and down the water. There's also an upper deck, but we didn't spend any time up there because, on a hot Laughlin day, it was just way too hot. They have cocktails and a selection of light food items. We ordered the chips and salsa and the nachos. To be honest, the chips were basically bagged tortilla chips, and while the salsa wasn't bad, but it tasted like it came from a jar. The same goes for the nachos--they were okay, but nothing special. The prices are about what you'd expect: I believe the nachos were $12.99 and the chips and salsa were $4.99. We also had a couple of piña coladas. They were doubles, but honestly, I don't think I tasted much alcohol in them. Still, it was fun having a drink while cruising down the river. This is definitely something the whole family can enjoy. There were families on the boat with everyone from young children to elderly seniors. The staff was very attentive and did a good job getting everyone's food and drinks out in a quick and timely manner. The boat also has a couple of bathrooms. They are single-occupancy bathrooms, open to everyone, and they were clean and well maintained. The 2 1/2-hour afternoon cruise is $25 per person, which I think is a pretty reasonable price for the experience. They also offer an evening dinner cruise, which I believe is around $80 per person. After trying the food on the afternoon cruise, though, I'd be a little skeptical about what to expect from the dinner. Still, the cruise itself is enjoyable. It's a great way to just kick back, relax and slow down for a couple of hours. Sometimes it's nice to get away from the casino and just sit back and watch the world go by. As the song says, "I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round." One thing to know: They do not allow outside food or drinks onto the boat. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing change of pace while you're in Laughlin. Just go for the river cruise and the experience--not the food.
