However, I accidentally went to another rental shop and thought my reservation was there. That rental shop did not tell me my reservation wasn't on their books and so I ended up renting from them, not knowing that I made a reservation with a different company (Riverstar) I ended up having a missed call from an unknown number at 12 and I called it back at 5 only to realize it was Riverstar rentals asking where I was with my reservation and why I didn't show up to get me jet skis. At that moment, I had realized I didn't have a reservation for the skis I picked up. When speaking with the owner (I forget his name) I could tell he was bummed as he held the skis all day waiting for me when they easily could have gone to someone else. Instead of complaining and getting upset with me, he asked if I had fun, was understanding about it and handled it very professionally. I am looking forward to using River Star rentals next time I visit. It's not always about how company's handle things that go right, but how they handle them when they go wrong.

I would say leave about 2 hours and 15 min ahead of your scheduled time slot if you plan on driving from the same area. I wanted something simple, already on the water, no need for us to hook on and off and get to and from the river. This was a perfect experience. We were running a bit late and they were very understanding and didn't deduct from our time. When you get to the riverwalk behind the Aquarius Casino, you'll find their booth where you will check in and present your ID, credit card and sign paperwork. It was all relatively quick. Then they gave us our life jackets and a paper to give to their team on the dock for the jet skii. We got a quick safety brief and accessed prior damage on the jet skii, and climbed on. One of the team members was kind enough to ask if we wanted a picture together before we took off and we really appreciated that. As 2 people, not planning on staying in the area, the 1 hr rental was a perfect time frame for us. Thank you to the entire team at Rocky River Adventure Center! We had a perfect alphabet J date!

Several staff members were incredibly rude, entitled, and dismissive throughout our visit. The worst interactions happened to be with several of the female employees, who constantly gave us snarky responses, nasty looks, and acted like we were inconveniencing them for asking basic questions. The male employees weren't particularly helpful either, but they were nowhere near as hostile. The entire operation was disorganized from the moment we arrived. We received little to no instruction on what to do, where to go, or how the process worked. When we politely asked for life jackets because we hadn't received them, we were met with, "WE ALREADY GAVE IT TO YOU!" in an extremely rude tone instead of someone simply helping us. We ended up standing in the hot sun with almost no shade, waiting around while employees ignored customers instead of providing any guidance. You would think that giving fewer instructions would make things faster, but it was the complete opposite because nobody knew what they were supposed to do. The end of our rental was just as frustrating. Since no one had explained how to return, we slowly approached the dock to ask for help. The employee on the dock was on their phone and made no effort to assist us. Meanwhile, they were yelling at multiple customers not to come to the dock without actually telling anyone what they were supposed to do instead. It created unnecessary confusion and led to a conflict that could have been completely avoided with even the most basic communication. Even after we finally docked, no one told us where to leave our equipment or who we needed to check in with. We originally drove here because it was advertised as being about $50 cheaper than Harrah's. That "savings" disappeared after the added taxes and mandatory "insurance," making it just as expensive--if not more. Looking back, I would gladly pay extra somewhere else for staff who are organized, professional, and know how to treat customers with basic respect. Save yourself the frustration and spend your money elsewhere.
