Way overpriced on all items and I went in three separate times over two years and not ONCE did I buy a THING and I can ALWAYS find something to buy , I always find things at Antique Gatherings and other antique stores but NEVER Can find things I like at this one and they clearly WAY OVEE price things !! Love this spot and wish we had more time here. We only had 30-45 minutes in this shop and wish we had all day. Here, you'll find a mix of new and old, of all kinds of home goods and jewelry you can find. There are over 35 mini stores within the marketplace all carrying something just a little bit different from the next. I've been to this store probably 50+ times and I've never had any issue with any employee whatsoever. They've almost all been incredibly nice and friendly. Very cool place for large- and small-item shopping of all kinds of unique, decorative and gift items in all price ranges, but mostly high end. 35 shopkeepers offer an array of new and gently used or refurbished items. Definetely check out the candle booth that has an enormous selection of high-end candles. There is an outdoor center courtyard with antique patio and garden items. One booth sells refurbished lighting from the age of glamour. Not a great idea to haul your kids or large pets here as you stroll. read more

We found costume and antique jewelry, purses, clothing, rugs, furniture, antiques, reproductions, fabrics, dishes, tablecloths from France, rustic and refined pieces, decorative accents in all styles, lighting, outdoor furniture and planters, and above all else, we found Helen. At 92-years old, she has got to be the best salesperson I've ever encountered anywhere. Adorable, sharp, totally put-together and fit as a 30-year old Pilates instructor. My husband and I went in after checking out My Sister's Attic across the parking lot (and finding nothing), and enjoyed a good hour of searching all the different vendor displays. We found a few things we really enjoyed and some stuff we wouldn't put in our house if you paid us, but that's the joy of a place like this. I absolutely loved this place, everything is so aesthetically pleasing. Lots of variety here; while most things are antiques, they do sell cute new things like candles and soaps. 03/07/13 Just passing through on a short walk after dining at a nearby resto-- my second, or perhaps third time here, and I've yet to want to purchase something. Most of the items I found interesting are so expensive, yet their presentation is akin to walking through someone's attic full of relics. Probably just a personal thing, since I really do not fancy shopping through clothing racks and bins. A few of the items I've found interesting were either previously-used (gold-rimmed glassware with gold leaf rubbed out in areas, or incomplete sets) or very expensive, like the new and beautifully-hued table linens ($125 and higher!) I saw on this visit, or lovely decorative pieces with even "lovelier" prices (read: expensive). I suppose that if I'm expected to spend a lot of money, then I would like to feel like I was pampered and just came back from vacation, and not walk out feeling like my energy was stripped away, without even a clerk pausing from their activities to flash a smile and ask me if I needed assistance. If you have extra time and like combing through clustered spaces for a "find," do go and visit, but this is a Yelp dukedom badge I certainly don't want to keep! read more

Buyer beware! I selected a vase I was interested in, priced at 95.00. I don't know what processed me to turn the vase over, but I did. And, to my surprise, there was a Home Goods price tag attached to the bottom of the vase ---24.95!! I then proceeded to look under a lamp that was for sale from the same vendor and it also had a Home Goods price tag attached. I'm not accusing the ownership of deceptive practices, but they certainly need to do a better job of vetting their vendors. This may just be one bad apple in the bunch, but non-the-less it reflects poorly on the credibility of the store. I am now skeptical of anything for sale in Scottsdale Marketplace and will no longer patronize the store. read more

There is something for everyone here! I was surprised at how very large the place is though it never felt "too big" because of the way the space is divided into different areas. I went there with my mom. At one point we went in two different directions and then I couldn't find her again for quite some time. Folks were friendly and helpful to us though the staff was not disbursed through out the store but mostly at the checkout or by the back door unloading stuff. Some of the items seemed a bit pricey but I also saw some really great bargains. Everything was top quality as far as I could tell with lots of one of a kind finds. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am only writing this review to warn other of this shops business practices. I went to the web-site ETSY and was looking for a gold and white magazine rack. Scottsdale Marketplace was one of the shops featured and I saw exactly what I was looking for. THE PICTURES showed a vintage magazine rack in EXCELLENT condition and because of the photos and description I purchased it. When I received the item the packaging was triple what it should have been for the item, making the shipping costs far greater than what they needed to be. I opened the box and to my horror the magazine rack was damaged, cracked, paint chips off, discolored, it looked NOTHING like the pictures on their web-site. I contacted the seller and their customer service skills were appalling. They claimed THAT I MADE THE DAMAGES. I contacted VISA immediately and opened up a dispute. I had to prove my case getting pictures before and after, shipping receipts and to get a third party vintage antique shop to look at the magazine rack and give their unbiased opinion which they did. The wrote a letter to say that the damages on the item had been there for a while and that the item had been misrepresented with the pictures on-line. After three months VISA found in my favor and returned the $200 to my credit card. The seller made serious allegations against me and blatantly lied. I returned the item back to them AT MY COST. This entire experience was awful and I can only hope that my story makes the next person think twice about buying something on-line with these people. The item is still on the site with the exact same pictures that I saw. I tried to get the ETSY site to do something about this matter but they would not and that is also a big problem. It is a sad world that we live in, that dishonesty is soooo prevalent. Do your homework ask for a video of any item you are going to buy as this way you will be able to see everything. I became a victim of on-line shopping I don't want you to have to go thru what I did. read more
