The patio in the summertime is so cute and the planters with herbs, succulents, and flowers make the space so earthy and whimsical. The fried pickle pizza was delicious and you can never go wrong with their margherita pizza either. The roasted garlic cheese bread is another go-to that I love. Wow!! Captains Ön Main is awesome! We placed an order to go and they were really kind over the phone as well as when we walked into the restaurant. It was very clean and a warm, welcoming environment. We loved their breadsticks and the marinara sauce that comes with it is fantastic. My husband said the sausage portion of his pizza was a 9.2/10 and the best sausage he's ever had. He said the pepperoni was amazing too, but that the sausage on the pizza was so good that it was his favorite part. It was baked to perfection, too. We will be back to try more! read more

We noticed the restaurant was closing in 20 minutes but we thought we would stop and see if it was too late to order. Just visited for the first time, although my girlfriend has been before and has been asking to go back. Ordered a pizza and bread sticks on-line. Walked in and the order was hot and ready to go. The breadsticks (garlic and cheese) were great, good flavor and I love the parmesan. Pizza was awesome, mushroom and old fashioned pepperoni. Great combination, light and not greasy. We were going to eat in the truck but it was so nice inside, we decided to eat in. Nice crowd and music playing, a pizza shop with the cozy coffee shop feel. Loved it all around. Stopped in here on a recent Friday night. Their menu had a lot to offer. We settled on the pesto pizza and the creamy garlic bread. Service was quick and entrees were delicious. Finally, a new kind of restaurant! Wood fired pizza in downtown Brighton. We heard from others that we must try this place and I'm so glad we did. They support Michigan businesses so have a lot of made in Michigan beers, spirits, and pop. They still have coffee items available. Right now their food menu is limited to pizza and cheese bread as they perfect their pizzas. "Captain" said they are looking to add salads and a few other items soon. They will also be having breakfast. This place is great and can really use the support of the community. The pizzas are 12 inches and gave 6 slices. Perfect for my husband and I. We got pepperoni and sausage. Simple and fresh. The dough was chewy and I loved the Parmesan on top. The pepperoni was a tad spicy. It was amazing wood fired pizza. Now that I know they have good, high quality pizza, I'm going to brave the Cuban! Mustard on pizza? I'll give it a whirl! read more

If you are a fan of wood fired pizza as I am than Captains on the Main will definately hit your sweet spot. This new restaurant in Brighton hits on all cylinders when it comes to taste and a well prepared pizza. It all starts with a fresh nice thin crust for me followed by fresh tasty toppings and of course the wood fired cook which adds so much to the pizza in my opinion and is the base premise for Captains on the Main pizza's. For my initial trip to to this business we ordered the Cuban pizza, pepperoni pizza and white truffle cheese bread. The pizza's were well cooked, with a great crust (both top and bottom) and fresh ingredients that combined to provide two very tasty pizza's. The Cuban pizza is definately something you don't see every day but boy of boy it really makes for a tasty pizza. The pickles, ham and pork with wood fired thin crust crust are a great combination. Also, I loved the charred fringes and slight charring on the bottom of the crust that is a signature element of a wood fired pizza. Relative to the truffle cheese bread this was so tasty where the the truffle notes definately come through on this bread and complements the cheese so well. Definately something not to be missed. Overall a very nice addition to the Brighton dining scene and definately the best pizza in the area. If you are a fan of fine wood fired pizza this is a business you should absolutely check out as you will not be disappointed. read more

I've been here a couple times and I have loved it every time. They have a variety of things, coffee/pizza etc. There is plenty of seating and they have booths which I'm a sucker for good booth seating. The coffee is great but the pizza is even better. Fantastic pizza! Friendly ambiance. I used to have coffee in here with previous owners and stopped in, not realizing the change. What a delightful restaurant. And, while they make an incredible wood fired pizza they still make coffee drinks. So I was able to contribute my tradition of a latte and afternoon work. So nice. The other reviews are much more elaborate and Captain's is worthy. Navigate through the current Brighton construction on Main Street, and give these folks your business! Amazing experience! We attended Brighton's first Gilmore Girls event on 9/21/24 and Captain's on Main took on the persona of Antonioli's. They were selling some awesome cider beverages and pizza and while waiting in line we were informed that all of their cider beverages were sold out but they were anticipating more cider arriving soon. In the meantime they were passing out free small pieces of pizza to everyone waiting in line and thanking everyone for their patience and patronage. Awesome customer service and experience overall! Captains not only deserves your attention, but Brighton should take notice what they have built. The city lacks creative, REALLY good food, and it's amazing to think on Main Street we don't have better options. Captains is turning out REALLY good pizza, AMAZING coffee (well done on bringing in Good Sense), and doing it with personality and a laid back vibe that makes eating fun. I waited to write this until I had tried every special, breakfast pizza and beer they had to offer and I've been going in once a week since they opened. No restaurant in Brighton as ever gotten that much attention from me. I take every client and friend to Captain's and we causally order as many pizzas as we can while enjoying drinks. My kids love it and watch as the pies go in and out of the wood burning oven. We do ALOT of cooking at home and once I've tried a restaurant, if it doesn't compare to how we make it at home, we don't come back. well done Captains...you guys are officially family read more

Great pizza! Great service! Usually a long line but they move so quick and are organized so you Usually don't wait long for the pizza. The pizza was big enough for 2-3 people, the sauce was a great balance not to acidic from the tomatoes and not super sweet. The dough was nice not to thick and had a crispy crust with delightful amount of char. The bottom of the pizza was crispy and wasn't floppy or droopy until it had sat for a few minutes and the truffle oil soaked into the bottom. The cheese definitely taste like quality as it melts in the mouth. The cheese covered the pizza eventually and every bite tasted equally sauced.
