We recently rented a 19' center console for 6 hours from Captiva Watersports for our family of 4 to make a run to Cabbage Key for the day. As an experienced boater, I dreaded using a rental boat. However, all was top notch and it was a great day. The boat was clean and operated as it should and the experience checking it in and out was great. The online reservation system was easy to use and I liked being able to sign waivers online and having very little to do the morning of. Upon our arrival at the office, the gentleman in the office gave us a friendly greeting and made the process easy. Jared (sp?) showed us to our boat, acquainted us with it, and sent us on our way. It was nice that the cooler was stocked with ice and refueling was easy when we got back. There were no hidden fees or charges and the process was simple. If I had to rent a boat again, I wouldn't hesitate for an instant to do so. One thing that would be a nice add would be if the boats had stern anchors. We anchored off Cayo Costa for a while to swim and it was difficult to do so with other boats around without a stern anchor. I understand some folks may not feel comfortable with that or if renters were just using the boat for fishing, it wouldn't be necessary, but it would be a nice option. We had an awesome 90 minute waverunner tour of Captiva and North Captiva Islands with Jared and Skylar! My wife and I were the only ones on that particular tour. So it was a private tour. It was my first time on a waverunner and they gave perfect instructions on how to ride it as well as a few minutes practice before we started the tour. A few minutes into the tour we made a stop in the middle of a pod of about 20 dolphins. It was an amazing sight to see! We had hoped to see a dolphin or two but this was above and beyond what we expected. As for the rest of the tour, Jared made several stops throughout to tell us about the history of the area and what we were looking at. He has alot of knowledge to share as he has been a native of the area his whole life. When we got to the bayside of the islands he took us to see the Calusa Indian Mound on a small island off of North Captiva. He also took us to Foster Bay where we saw several Manatees as well as more dolphins. We knew this tour would be fun but this was way more than we expected!! We will never forget this experience and will most certainly be doing it again as we are coming back in June with our daughter. My Son and I recently had the opportunity to rent a 19' Center Console boat #7330 from Captiva Water-sports during our stay at the resort for my Sons 18th birthday. Rob, Lori and the gals in the office and the young fella on the dock were simply AMAZING! Rob took the time to explain the route that we needed to use for our shelling adventure at Cayo Costa. His directions were nothing short of spot on! The boat performed flawlessly and our afternoon was something that we'll remember. Upon our return the staff greeted us like family and took the time out of their very busy afternoon to ask how our trip was and to listen to our stories. These folks run a class act. I had a great experience on my first jet ski outing!! Was able to go really fast and it was choppy so I did get quite bumped around and soaked but all in great fun! I think it's a good idea to take the long 2 hour tour because u get to go out to the islands and check for manatees and dolphins and go all the way out to Boca Grande and cabbage key and useppa. We also went and checked the Indian shell mounds on a small island. Javier was charismatic and also very instructive on handling the machine which was all new to me! Great ride! Today is July 11th, just wanted to write that I see other businesses have replayed to comments on Yelp. This rental service has not contacted or responded with me so far in any way. Guess they have enough business that they don't need mine. However, think I should mention that I own a place on Sanibel and come down at least twice a year, renting boats at least once when I'm there. They are loosing several rentals in the future over a roped cushion that should have been replaced three years ago, at least. Not a good place tonrent boats from! read more

Booked parasailing for myself and my husband after looking at online reviews. Glad to report, they delivered! The staff is courteous, extremely professional and loads of fun. I was a little nervous initially, just from the idea of being so high up in the air, but the captain and Matt talked me through the whole thing and put my mind at ease. They were very pleasant to talk to and hubby and me ended up having the time of our lives. They even did the "dipping of our feet slightly in the water" thing and it was amazing. My wife and I were on vacation for our anniversary. As we were visiting the island, it was a bit tricky to find the main office but we found it. Once we signed in, we made our Way to the beach to meet with the wave rider personnel. Skyler and Jared were very friendly and gave us a good laugh. They were very professional and took care of us quick with no problems. Considering it was our first time on a JetSki, it was a blast. So much fun! We have gone for years now. I have purchased gift certificates ahead of time (corresponding via email), and all correspondences are super friendly and helpful (and patient because I had A LOT of questions). Staff is awesome- accommodating and fun. We'll usually do the 1 hour rental twice in the week that we are in the area; so worth it!! This last time, we saw dolphins, a giant sea turtle, and stingrays. We have made this a yearly adventure and will continue to do so. 5 stars!! read more

I've rented from other places in SW Fl. This was my first experience w/ Captiva Water Sports at Tween Waters Inn & Marina and by far the best. Tyler took time to review the intra-coastal markers, compass settings that were pertinent, approximate boating times to reach specific markers and even points of interest. The boat was well equipped with all safety needs and included a full cooler of fresh ice. We rented 2 wave runners for the tour! We were entertaining our grandkids from Virginia. Actually the grandson was a little disappointed that he couldn't drive, he is really too young, but was relieved when we finally got going. The kids had a blast! We ended up experiencing the shark jet ski ride as well because the workers were so nice; we wanted to spend more time with such awesome people!! My first ever parasailing experience and it was awesome! My husband had done it before so we were excited to do this together. Cap'n Rob and his first mate were absolutely first rate. They were quite obviously well experienced at doing this and we felt very safe the entire time. We didn't expect it but DID see a few dolphins! Cap'n Rob was kind enough to point them out! We rented a 25' Cobia boat for the four of us for the day. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from the initial easy parking, detailed and friendly instructions and directions. The boat was cleaned, fueled and ready to go. John helped us getting out, and also was there to welcome us back and tie up the boat. I went parasailing with my kids through CWS and we had a phenomenal experience! The staff and crew were very friendly. We felt safe and had so much fun! it's truly one of the best ways to see the island. We paid for the photo package and I anticipated 10-15 pictures. They took over 100! We rented the 19' Palm Beach for 6 hrs. The boat was in very nice shape and ran great. The guys were very helpful in explaining where to go and where not to go as well as some of the obstructions to avoid in Pine Island Sound. Prices were reasonable and there weren't any hidden surprises. Overall the experience was great! read more
