They were able to do the needed repairs on my van and were very thorough in their diagnosis of the issue. !Do Biz At Your Own Risk! I'm a mechanic I was in a pinch leaving town on vacation wanted my alignment checked. They called and up sold me on straightening the steering wheel which they should not of done on my type of vehicle. I drive an old Chevy they took my steering wheel off and tried to straighten it but you can't do it that way, nearly stripped out all the screws in my custom steering wheel leaving the steering wheel on so tight that it dragged the column. The steering would literally stick in whatever position you left it in going down the road. As soon as I got in my truck I knew they didn't test drive it like they told me they did. This is an impressive operation. First, this is the cleanest shop you will ever set your foot in. Yes the place is new, but you could literally eat off the floors. The shininess is blinding. Second, they are very honest and direct, setting expectations right off the bat and trying to over-deliver. Quite different from typical shops who over-promise and under-deliver. I ended up there after losing a lower control arm bolt on a snowy I-80, waiting 3 hours for a tow, and spending $320 to get to the shop. I was trying to get my car fixed in a hurry but the part was a dealer part and it could simply not be sourced at 4pm on a Saturday before a 3-day weekend. So it was a personal nightmare, but the professionalism of this place was uplifting and I knew I was getting the fairest of deals. Jane runs an incredibly tight ship focused on her customers. I sure hope I never have to get a car fixed in Auburn again, but if I do, I would be silly not to come to Car & Truck Pros. read more

Outstanding service. If you are looking for a mechanic to make your own, they are the ones. They are honest, professional and friendly. Chad and Jane are thorough in their explanations and services. Jane broke down all that needed to be done in order of urgency. By the time I walked out I actually understood what had been done, unlike other places that you can't even read their invoice and determine what they did. I brought my car in to bring up to date and another for a second opinion, but I will definitely will be using them as my mechanics in the future for my car services. They over charged me for work & when I picked up my truck none of my gages worked. I returned the next day to have them fix the gages, they refused to fix them & told me I should sell my truck. I have since found out that infact they did not fix the actual problem they claimed was the issue with my truck & infact it was the fuel pump that was going out & not the $1700 job they charged me for!! Had a front wheel hub replaced (d/t wheel bearing making lots of noise), brake pads replaced and rotors machined - each task had the following issues: Front hub: while replacing the wheel hub one of the sensors (or wires to the sensor) that attach to it was broken, adding a couple hundred bucks onto my cost - seemed unfair to pass that cost along to the customer as the sensor was working fine prior to them working on it. They did however replace it free of labor cost. Brake work: I had to ask for my rotors to be re-machined as they were squeaky / grinding when I did a quick test drive.. seems like something you should check out prior to saying a job is done. They did re-machine them at a different setting and this helped. From this experience, I will likely be trying a different shop in the future for my car repair needs. Best of luck. read more

It was something that they were not able to help me with. They could have billed the heck out of me, but no they were very honest. Didn't charge me and helped me get a tow truck back over to their shop to get me where I needed to go. These folks were great. Here I am an out-of-towner. They didn't know me and they took the time to help me. They even offered to tow my car on the trailer to where we were taking the truck. I usually go to another auto service center, but my car broke down in the middle of the road and when I look to my left car and truck pros was there. I walked over and was greeted by Jane. I was crying and hot as I had been sitting in my car for about 20 minutes. She asked if I needed any water or anything else. I explained what happened and it appeared to be a dead battery. I ended up getting my car towed a whole .1 miles to her shop They looked at my car right on the spot and gave me a diagnosis. She said she could have it ready by the next morning. She let me know the parts and I did my own research on parts and the price discrepancy was only about $4 different (this is AMAZING). I couldn't believe how quick they got me in and out. I came back to get my tires done later in the week and I was in and out in under an hour. They make the process easy-from start to finish and the price is fair. I will continue to go back. I had my oil light pressure on and off in my 2012 Camaro SS so I took my car to Car & Truck Pros. I told them I had the same issue months ago and the GM dealer just changed the oil and the problem was solved. They did not find any other issue back then. I did the same thing the day before but the oil light was still on and off. I told Car & Truck that I was thinking the issue could be a bad sensor. I am not a mechanic or a car expert so I was giving my best guess. They decided to go ahead and replace the sensor, charged me $250 for it and the issue was not resolved. They could not diagnostic the issue with the oil pump and told me to tow to the GM dealer. They told me I asked them to buy the sensor and that is what I wanted. Not true at all. It was the worst customer service I ever had. I will never go back there and the trust was totally lost. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I came in at 4:15 pm and stood very patiently for almost 10 minutes while the woman behind the counter rambled on and on to another customer like a broken record about proper braking technique. When I finally got to the desk and asked for an oil change, the woman said "oh it's 4:30, I'm not taking any more customers." It was 4:25. No acknowledgement that she was closing early. No acknowledgment that she had just very rudely wasted my time. The sign on their door says they close at 5; so does their Google and Yelp profile. I wanted to start going to a locally owned business, but they just lost a customer for life. Went down to the Quick Lube on Marguerite Mine Rd. Got there at 4:35. Manager said "if you're in line by 5, we'll serve you." Now THAT is real customer service. The store owner replied to me on Google making excuses and denying I waited for 10 minutes. She even had the nerve to say "obviously we aren't a Quickie Lube and you can't just walk in and get an oil change." Um...what? Ok then, maybe you should remove that giant sign above your garage that says "EXPRESS OIL CHANGE." What a pathetic cop out. Don't go to this place. read more

Beware! Check out Better Business Bureau rating of "F" and www.ripoffreport.com where customer filed small claims against them and won $340. Owners refused to pay the court ordered $340, so customer filed a lien against business and owners. (Sept.21, 2008) Currently, they are billing us nearly double what a legitimate car dealer would charge for the same work and I checked out cost of parts at Riebes and found they way overcharged for parts also. My car broke down on 80 outside of Auburn on my way back to the South Bay. This is an AAA garage. Chad did get me back on the road in a day. But, he didn't tell me that there were issues with the air conditioning. It was 106 in Auburn and 114 in Sacramento. I had to stop 3 times to let the car rest. I also heard a rattling noise under the hood. Only to find out a bolt had not been put back and was on the lip of the hood. Lucky it wasn't an important part. Please be more informative about the condition of a car with those who are stranded. read more
