Not only did he fix my car. He did some minor detailing on the front bender which looks much better than it did before. I'd say before it looked like a total fix - everything was busted, including the battery, overfilled with water in the container. He put some vents in to help drain the water. He fixed my transmission wire -- which was completely chewed through by something -- and managed to replace it. I didn't have much but he was very hospitable and gave me complimentary service. Super impressed! I had an issue with my Cayenne Turbo. Rather than replace a very costly part to solve an issue, Ryan and his team felt confident they could repair the existing part rather than replace it after doing a little diag. I put my faith in them and sure enough, I got a call a couple hours later that the repair was done using a very small and inexpensive part. They saved me more than $500 and a ton of time. I couldn't have better things to say about this company, the owner, management, and the mechanics. I own a 2011 Mini Cooper and was told by multiple shops I had rod knock, which pretty much means game over for the engine. I was recommended by a friend to Ryan, gave him a call with hopes to SELL my mini cooper- and he immediately told me that I most likely do not have rod knock, but instead a pulley was bad that could be replaced for under $500. He didn't stop there, he offered to have me bring it in to have them listen to it no cost at all. So I bring it in, Mark greets me with the best customer service I have EVER experienced anywhere. I get a cup of coffee, they look at my car, confirm it's just a pulley, print out an estimate and put me on the books. I brought my car up and they had it completely finished before the end of my work day. Not only did they fix the pulley, they also fixed my hanging bumper AND my headlight electrical issue no charge. You want to talk about an honest, extremely fair priced, old fashioned car shop whose owner is in touch with his business and the service advisors clearly care for their customers. The team at RYAN GMW are certified pros! Took my F95 in today to get some mods done, and they knocked it out of the park! Fast, courteous, professionals that know how to get things done right! Prices are super reasonable too! Even after a few surprises popped up that had nothing to do with them. I was an "apprentice" mechanic in my high school days, but chose a different career path. I still do 90% of my own maintenance. I know a good shop when I see one. Especially if the shop is organized and clean. This includes the mechanics, their tool boxes, counters, and bay. I had my DSG VW transmission serviced here and it was top notch. Is 6 stars an option? This is a fantastic facility. Mark (reception/euro expert) is always attentive and friendly answering the phone, and his expertise helps readily identify any potential issues. I've had them servicing an Audi S4 and diesel Q5 for years. My cars have run much longer than their expected lifespans because of the service and expertise provided by the shop. There have been times they could have gouged me, but figured out warranty options, and referred me to the dealer. I've dropped in a couple times with little questions "why is my car...." and they're always willing to drop what they're doing and identify/diagnose whatever my concern is. I recently replace one of my Audi (yes, that's the correct plural) with a BMW, and Ryan Motorworks was one of my first stops with "what do I need to do to keep this in top shape" questions. Oh - and I skipped all the maintenance upgrades at the dealer because my shop is better than the BMW shop. Lastly, these guys are all locals. They have manufacture certifications. The 50% coupon is a joke the owner is never there anymore, I drove 80 mile to go to this shop for appointment when I arrived I was told 7 cars ahead of me.. It didn't take the whole hr - they didn't have the correct scanner it took 20 minutes and they still changed for an hour pus I ordered a $170 part they charged $400 When I showed the same part was advertised as less the attitude came about. My car was misfiring so I took it to Ryan G MotorWorks To have them replace the spark plugs in the car. I picked the car up and drove it and it seemed fine. But when I got to drive the car more it was still misfiring.I was not up in the area, so I took it to another shop that I use. After the other shop did exhaustive diagnostics on my car, they suspected that it was the new spark plugs. They replaced them with a different OEM brand and that fixed the issue. The other shop contacted Ryan's shop and worked it out to where I did not have to pay when I picked up my car at the other shop. I have taken my car to Ryan before and this is just another reason that I will be a repeat customer. They backed their work and collaborated with another shop. I brought my newly purchased Z4 M Coupe in for its 60K miles service. I asked them to just change EVERYTHING that was a part that could wear out. Damn the cot haha. After a the inspection and a few adjustments, I received a call with an update. They told me the car was previously well maintained and virtually none of the "wear" parts needed to be change. They buttoned up few more things and the car was ready. There's a lot to say about a mechanic shop these days that will refuse to take your $$money$$. These boys do amazing work and are as honest as they come. I brought my car in in June 2022 for an oil change and used the 50% off coupon that I got from the homepage of the business' website. I was due for my next oil change recently and went to the homepage to download the coupon again. There was a problem downloading it, but when I called to schedule the appointment, the person helping me said he would honor it. When I got there, there was a small, laminated sign on the counter (not a permanent sign, but one that could easily be taken on and off the counter) that said 50% oil changes would no longer be offered. When I saw it I reminded the guy at the counter that I was told that it would be honored when I made the appointment over the phone. He went into an explanation that they buy barrels of oil and that it's very expensive now - blah blah. I had come all the way from El Dorado Hills so I really didn't want to argue, at that point. When the car was finished and I went to pay, I asked about the coupon again and was told that they haven't offered 50% off an oil change since before Covid. Again, I had taken my car there for an oil change in June of 2022 - well after Covid. So, Ryan G if your staff is going to tell customers that they will honor a coupon, please instruct them to do so. At the very least, update your website's homepage and remove the coupons. You saved yourself $70, but lost a repeat customer and earned this review. read more

Incredibly fair and reasonable. Conservative recommendations supported by the love of bimmers. First dropped in with my husband's e46 wagon. Assessed and fixed another shop's mistake with no notice. Then I took my e46 M3 in when the axle broke which was promptly diagnosed and expertly repaired. Everyone in the shop is helpful and friendly. They are BMW enthusiasts familiar with the quirks of these vehicles that often go undiagnosed at other general repair shops. When I moved to SoCal, my M3 had a catastrophic failure with the vanos unit. Even though I couldn't bring it to Ryan, he happily consulted in my repairs to help me maintain my classic. I recently purchased a used Mini and received a recommendation from a friend to have Ryan G. MotorWorks work on it as most places don't have the experience/knowledge. Well went to the car-wash one day and my back door would not open/close. So I called Ryan G. MotorWorks the next day and they were able to get me in and replace a part and to an inspection to let me know of a few things that need to be replaced. Well yesterday I drove home and had a horrible gas smell. I would not own a BMW if I couldn't take it to Ryan. I've tried other shops and either they lack the expertise or it's all about how much they can gouge me. Ryan is a car enthusiast and honest as they come. I always have him change the oil and ask him to look over the car for any issues or preventative maintenance. If he recommends something, I know it is a legitimate concern. Everybody that works there is cut from the same cloth and I've always trusted their work and care of my cars. While I used to work in Auburn and it was convenient, I now live and work in Sacramento and don't think twice about bringing the car up.
