Car Spa did an amazing job detailing my car today. I was almost embarrassed to take the vehicle to be cleaned. I could just picture the horror on the face of the employees when they saw the tremendous amount of dog hair everywhere in the interior. She is a precious very large puppy who loves to go everywhere with Mom. But I do believe every hair she has ever shed was in my car. The person who checked me in told me there was a $10 extra charge for dog hair. I quietly laughed within my mind thinking what a bargain that was. They had no idea. what was awaiting them. Knowing it would be a long job, I left, requesting a call when the work was completed. I was almost afraid to look at the finished product. My last car wash, done at a different business, left almost as much dog hair as was removed. Imagine my amazement when I opened the car door & saw a perfectly cleaned, shined & polished interior. A clean cut young man came up & asked what I thought. All I could say was "Wow"!! He turned out to be the detailing manager. This was phenomenal work done with pride. I sit here contemplating a trip to the garage to see if my car still looks the same or if it was all just a dream. read more

This would have been a 5 star review based on how awesome my car looks. But the customer service was not up to par. I work in the customer service industry and I'm all about excellent customer service. I showed up right at 8 am. Got my car in line and ticket printed at 8:11 am. I was told an hour and a half to two hours, (even tho apparently on the ticket they put 2-2.5 hours). I got the complete inside of my car detailed. And the exterior cleaned as well. Paid 110$. Not bad. But was still a little out of the budget I wanted to spend but I figured my car probably really needed it anyway (especially with a 3 year old). Now mind you, I drive a compact car. A 2 door hatch back Hyundai Accent. The car is beautiful and the young man working on my car did a phenomenal job. However, why this got docked two stars is because it took 4.5 hours! That's twice as long as I was told! I didn't mind waiting around for two hours. But had i known it was going to be twice as long I would have arranged someone to come get me. And just leave the car there. The part that irked me the most is no one even said to me, "hey we are having some issues getting the dog hair out of your seats, we are working hard on it, so it's going to be a little longer than we expected. But we just wanted to let you know" No. after 3.5 hours I went up to the super busy lady at the cash register. I hated to bother her cause she just had so many people coming at her. Only then did someone jump in and help the young man who was working so diligently on my car. Had I not said anything I probably would have been sitting there for 6 hours!!!!! I'm also pregnant and hormonal so it might be me over reacting a little bit. But I just didn't feel valued as a customer there. It was my first visit to this facility. I would have been fine if it was a little more personal and staff communicated with you a little more, rather than just treat you like a number read more

I am a little late in writing this but I wanted to make sure I got it on here. A few weeks ago I waited in line for almost 2 hours to get my car fully detailed including mats and seats done. After waiting for that long I finally arrived to one of the employees and it was finally my turn. I told him what I needed done and if they could provide all the services I needed- they informed me that they stopped doing any extra services including seat detailing 10 minutes ago. As you can imagine I was extremely frustrated and upset because I had waited that long and the primary reason I had gone there was to get my seats detailed (I could wait on the mats). I asked to speak to the manager in charge after the employee I had originally talked to (I believe the supervisor on duty) Told me they were unable to accommodate my request. The manager came out and listened to me and my frustration and how I was very upset at the fact I had waited so long and no one had even informed me that they were no longer going to be doing any detailing. He apologized and said they were extremely busy and extremely short staffed but he said not to worry and that he would take care of the seats himself. He kindly started vacuuming right in front of me and said that he would make sure the seats got done. These are the kind of managers we need more of and because of him I will certainly return as I've always had a pretty good experience at car spa although; if they were unable to do my seats this time I probably would not have returned. I'm still marveling at how very clean my car is! Seriously, I think it may be cleaner than the day I drove it off the lot when it had a whopping 10 miles on the odometer. I really wish I had gotten the name of the technician who serviced my car. He was absolutely fantastic!! I purchased the interior express seat shampoo package because I had several dog-vomit stains in my backseat (oh the joys of having a border collie prone to motion sickness. Lol), and he not only shampooed the heck out of my car seats and made them look brand new, but he also cleaned out all of my cup holders, including the two in the fold-down backseat tray that never even get used! My windows are so clear that I thought they were open when I first got in the car. Then, above and beyond the call of duty (and beyond what I paid for), he took pity on my filthy floor mats and deep-cleaned those, as well! They look perfect now. I have no idea how he managed to scrub out some of the really old stains. Heaven knows I've tried in the past! I'm truly stunned in the best way possible! I will most certainly be a repeat-customer at this Car Spa location time and again. The only negative thing I can think to say to balance out the effusive praise above is that the wait is rather long, and they could use a few more comfy couches in the lounge, but trust me; it is worth the wait when they do such a thorough and amazing job. :) read more

Brought in my daughter's 2005 Honda CR-V to the Car Spa on Holland Road in VA Beach for the full 4 package detail and paid extra on top of that to get them to do a 3-stage wax process to bring the clearcoat/paint back to life after not having been waxed for over 7 years, in addition to doing headlight restoration. All I can say is that Tim is a miracle worker. I paid a lot to get this done but 6 hours later it was worth every penny! My daughter's 15 year old car looks BRAND NEW as she heads off to college! I have spent not even 5 minutes here and I am already very disappointed. When I went to bring my car around to the retailers there were two gentlemen sitting around not doing anything and then made some unprofessional comments. Then the women who took my car priced me for the wrong thing and when I brought it to the woman's attention at the front counter she had an attitude. Also the woman at the front counter was sitting in the lounge on her phone both times I entered the building instead of standing where she should be at the front desk.... will update later with the condition of my car. Had to turn my two stars into one, this place is a joke. I think I could've done a better job if I had done it myself and I would've saved $90. I just recently bought a new car 2 months ago so I thought "hey let's buy the membership" because in the past I was awful with washing my car and needless to say I messed the paint up on it really bad. So I come here every Friday or Saturday if I can't make it on Friday's and I absolutely love it here... I would have given 5 stars but I have a tiny problem that I have to address today when I go in for my weekly detail. I'm pretty sure the problem will be corrected because most of the staff knows me/my-car. They always make me feel very welcome there... it's like my car family. I visited Car Spa today and bought the $10.00 wash and added the $5.00 upgrade to have it towel dried and rims wiped down. The wash and towel dry was very nice. My rims however didn't get the attention I hoped for. Most of the rim looked very nice but lip next to the tire on all four never got touched. I know it was only $5.00 but don't feel I got what I paid for. I pay extra to have it done because I can't bend over to do it myself. The body of my Jeep does look very nice though. read more

I've been to this place twice so far. It's not a bad place. I usually get the cleaning premium wash I believe? Both times they have done a great job. The only reason I took a star off is because they didn't clean inside the cup trays or have missed placed to wipe. One time it was my front wind shield, on the inside. But hey maybe they wash that if you get the detail detail. I usually pay $41 for the package I get so it gets kinda annoying. However the good thing about this place is they do a 48 hour thing where if it rains they will reward your vehicle. I bought all 4 Expess Detail packages plus Headlight Restoration for a total of $159.98 with a coupon. Considering the dirty state my car was in with dog hair and dirty windows from my dog's wet nose, it was a pretty good job. I was in a rush for an appointment the reason I didn't get a chance to point out discrepancies before I left. The inside of the windows had been cleaned, but there were still horrible streaks from using a dirty towel. I used Windex and a paper towel to reclean them. My console was overall clean, but there was still crumbs in the cupholders. Those things didn't bother me so much as the headlight restoration. They're supposed to be cleaned to a 'like new' state. It really looks like someone forgot my headlights were suppose to be done and hastily cleaned them before I came back to pick up my car. Overall my car is cleaner than what it was, but attention to small details would have made this come out better. Just make sure you check your car before leaving on busy summer days. read more

I'm super lazy so you won't find me washing my own car and vacuuming is out of the question lol. Enter car Spa! They've done a good job at a decent price point for my car in the past. I always do the one with the works so it gets my exterior clean with a wax as well as a good vacuuming. They always forget my air freshener though. Not that it's a big deal haha. The waiting area is spacious and there are a few TVs to help pass the time. Bathrooms are clean and there's also a kids play area as well. There's outdoor seating if you wanna enjoy the weather, but the attendant inside will yell out when your car is done and you may not hear it. Drinks/snacks are sold if you're gonna be there but typically I wait maybe 20-30 minutes during the off time. Overall a good spot to take your car for a good clean. They also do detailing as well as oil changes and other car maintenance things. Make sure you print out coupons off their website if they have them! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! There wash scratched my brand new 2015 black Tacoma. When I presented the problem to the manager Mike he told me that the brand new truck I bought had surface scratches when I bought it. In other words the truck that was inspected by the detail manager, the sales manager and myself was wrong. I stared at my new truck everyday and it was immaculate! I gave them a chance to fix the problem and the manager said it WOULD TAKE TOO MUCH TIME! Can u imagine my response? He said he would look at the tapes to see if the guy that had the hand brush in the beginning did anything that could have scratched it and call me. Like the car wash couldn't have messed up or had dirt trapped in the brushes! I called there Corporate office and the service rep was blown away by what happened, but of course nothing resulted from it. Here was his email response: Hi Mr. Mangieri, I wanted to inform you that I was able to view the video of your car wash and saw that the tech only brushed the back window of your cab and the tailgate. The rest of the vehicle was just sprayed off. After sending in the pictures and speaking with my vice president about the report you called in, our decision remains the same, that we did not cause the scratches and will not take responsibility for them. I've come to carspa before and had a great experience. But I just spent $89.99 on a full detail and they didn't even clean back window. Everything else was good. Another thing was my friend got a car wash, during the wash another car got stuck on the auto track and while he, in his car, kept ramming the car in front. I have been here plenty of times because when they wash my car it is sparkling shinny everysingle time and I have never had to turn around and make them redo because of missing a spot. Had to get my car detailed after a night of being DD and my passenger side got human mess on the inside and outside. What I needed wasn't super expensive, but they did a great job. They took a little longer because they started detailing my seats, which I hadn't asked for and got through 3/4 before someone stopped them. They also did an Ozone treatment to make sure that the smell would be taken away, which I really appreciate because I'm a sympathy puker, so even smelling something bad makes me hurl. I was super happy about the work they did and they let me know that I could come back in 2 days and get my car washed for free because I had gotten it detailed. The staff was also super friendly, so I appreciated that as they were very attentive and helped me determine what I needed and wanted for the amount I was spending. read more

Took my car to get detailed and was surprised at the lack of quality. They completely forgot to dust the whole driver side dashboard, but I pointed that out and someone cleaned it right up. I assumed it was an honest mistake because the passenger side had already been done. Except the center console was still pretty dirty. And looking throughout the rest of the car, it just didn't seem like I got what I paid for. You're better off spending money somewhere else or doing it yourself. read more

Absolute worst experience ever. I paid for a supreme spa package and full service car wash. I got a pretty good car wash, oil poured all over my motor and my favorite- the chassis was not lubed! When I inspected the lube points after my vehicle came from the car wash line they were covered with road grime- clearly indicating that they had not been lubed. I showed this to the car wash manager, he agreed that they had not been touched but he couldn't do anything and told the lube manager. The lube manager called me a liar, refused to look at my vehicle and when he finally did he sent me down to the grease pit. As I went down the stairs one of his techs actually tried to lube the chassis while I wasn't looking! How petty! Own up to the mistake and fix it, don't lie about it and don't try to hide your feeble attempt to fix it!!! After the lube manager figured out that he had been caught he became even more confrontational. Needless to say I left him with the promise that I will be his best advertiser. I'm eagerly awaiting a response from the general manager of the car spa to see how he would remedy this failure. In the mean time I say don't ever go the car spa! read more

Ok- so i went in there to get my car pampered- head to toe.. or i guess hood to wheel? This was done a few weeks ago and i just got around to writing it so please accept my apologies if i have slight amnesia. I went in on a thursday evening about an hr before they were closing- i actually called and asked them if that would be enough time.. the lady said yes. As soon as i gave them my car, i began thinking- wow, its dark.. will they be able to get everything? Can a full detailing be done properly in a little under an hour ?? ( because i read that a good job takes around 2hr at least!). This was my first time getting my car detailed. I entered, paid for their highest service which was around 130$ i think After an hour, my car was done. It looked fairly clean and i went home. The next morning my bf & i had a look at the car for the first time in the sunlight and boy were we pissed! They didnt clean out the front or the back seat cup holders properly , there were still stains left on my back seat and the trunk was a HUGE mess still.. heck, they didnt even touch the trunk. Unfortunately, i still had class that day, so i couldn't return to have them fix it Based on my first experience alone - was gonna give it a 1 star. BUT then i decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and go back .. despite the 1/2 hr drive ugh. Round 2- the manager assisted me this time, and he didnt look happy. His attitude kinda annoyed me, but i didnt really care as long as they fixed my car. I waited in their lounge for around 1.5 more hours, then my car was ready. It was PERFECT. My tires, cushions, mirrors, floors, etc... every area that i asked them to fix, was fixed. But AGAIN they forgot the trunk. After mentioning that to them, they fixed the trunk. Everything was good to go! So, overall counting both experiences, my car took around 3 hrs... which is what i expected. Here are a few things to keep in mind. If u dont want to read all of them, just please read the first 2 most important ones ( in my opinion) 1- TRUNK IS NOT STANDARD. You have to ask them to do the trunk seperately! It is technically NOT INCLUDED in the detail process, however IT DOES NOT COST EXTRA EITHER!! Soo make sure you tell the lady that you want the trunk done.. she will radio it over to the technicians! 2- SAVE YOUR RECEIPT PEOPLES! If they do not do a satisfactory job, or if it rains or for whatever reason ( call and verify please), you can bring your car back in with your receipt 48 ( please verify) hrs after your treatment and they will fix the job- FOR FREE. So, please please, when they give you the receipt, put it in your glove box and look over your car a few times before you throw it out. Now for the less important points: 3- You should at least be spending 2hrs there for a thorough job to be done! : I am pretty peeved about this because it was my first time getting a car detailed, so i actually CALLED THEM and told them when i was going to come in ( an hour before closing) & she told me 2 come on by. No one told me that an hr is not enough to do a thorough job. I guess they wanted to just squeeze me in and squeeze some money out of me? 4- They have a lounge with wifi, a few sofas and tables, and snacks/drinks for purchase. The lounge has a little kids section with legos, building blocks and a tv playing creepy kids stuff ( sesame st, barney , teletubbies ). 5- Nothing really in walking distance. Bring a book/laptop.. or just twiddle ur thumbs while watching CNN or teletubbies. Good luck to u all. I would definitely come back... during the day time . read more

I have finally made the transition about a year ago from "Do it yourself" car washes, to CarSpa. (Just in time too, the do-it-yourself place just down the street on Lynnhaven is now flattened!) But I've been to Car Spa many times in this past year, and had great service here each time. It has become my go-to place every few weeks to clean the beast, especially when the local seagulls open up on it like a .50 cal. They offer a wide range of services, and personally, I can only speak for the "Express" side of the house. Drive up in the far right lane and get the outside-only wash, which starts at 7 bucks. You can be in and out of there in less than 5 minutes with a nice clean car if you use the right lane and are washing outside-only. (You can get any service even cheaper, look for coupons in newspaper mailers, and I have also seen coupons for 5 bucks off at GameStop Locations in the wintertime. Just noticed, at least for this February, a coupon appears right here on Yelp! Easy 4.5 stars for CarSpa. Fast and easy on the express lane side :-) read more

A great place if you have the time. I just so happened to visit this place last week after always utilizing the Northampton Blvd location. Maybe its just me but I don't like the idea of getting out of my car and waiting for it to be cleaned. The reason for the low rating is the vacuums if you go thru the Express Wash drive thru at this location you CAN'T vacuum out your vehicle. As with the other location you drive in and get your wash and then are able to use the free vacuums at your own convenience. **Overall I'll most likely re-review this location when i stop in for a wash and wax. and will see how the service is then but in the mean time even though its far i'll continue to use the other location. Ugh. I have never in my life found a car-wash that meets my weirdo OCD standards. I should just do it myself but I am lazy and its getting hot. Anyway.. impulse choice to stop into Car Spa today because my beloved Joan Jetta was starting to look sad and disgusting. Covered in bird shit and pollen on the outside, milk, cookies, sand and hotsauce spills on the inside... I'm a mom who likes the beach and mexican food, this shit happens. So, I chose to get the Bronze Full Service, even though the $100 full detailing sounded fabulous, I wanted to get a feel for their service first. I specifically asked them to pay attention to the back seat, because that is where most of the spillage happens and the very back of my car where I decided to manually peel off the "Jacksonville, NC Volkswagen" sticker.. (I hate that place), because there was some residue I wanted removed. Homeboy who helped me choose my package complied and promised I had come to the "right place".. Okay, so after an hour wait, which is pretty standard for a full service wash, I had paid the $33.99 and gleefully walked out to my seemingly perfectly clean car. PFFFFFT. Not only was there a surplus of armor all smeared all over my dash which should have been rubbed in evenly IMO, they did not even bother cleaning the back seats off, at all, which, as I said, I specifically asked them to do. I will say they did a really good job at was washing my floor mats, floors and cleaning out my center console and the outside of my car looked nice. They did a good job on the windows as well, but I just hate it when people don't listen to me. As soon as I drove off I couldn't help but stare and find all the things they missed and of course, pulled out a baby wipe and a dry cloth from my trusty diaper bag to finish the job myself. Ugh, whatever. I know they are busy and have an assembly line of workers, but I somewhat regret the $10 tip I gave to the guy who worked on my interior. I feel like for almost 50 bucks, I should get what I want. Maybe im just a queen. . I dunno. Let me start by saying that I love Car Spa. This is the only place in Virginia Beach that I take my cars. (I've had some bad experiences with drive-thru washes in the past) Car Spa offers two different types of service; detailing and drive thru wash. Both of those have many different options and price ranges. I use the drive thru option most often as I'm usually in a rush. You can add a carnauba wax, Rain-X, and tire shine to their packages for a little extra dough. It really depends on what your looking for. I personally don't bother with the wax. The Rain-X and tire shine are good options for me. The detailing, though it takes a bit more time and a few more greenbacks, may surprise you. Chances are you've forgotten what your car was like brand new. They can pretty much put it back in that condition. If you have the time to sit and wait while they work their magic, more power to you! Why the 4 star rating? I think that the drive thru pricing could drop a little bit. Even without the wax, Rain-X and tire shine, you're still looking at around $10. If they keep the pricing the same, at least throw in a Blow Pop... read more

I got the #4 which included exterior wash, tire cleaning and interior vacuum for my minivan. I liked that the waiting room had a kids' show and toys. When our car was done, the attendant waited around for a tip. I didn't know this was expected nor did I have any cash so I didn't give him one. It was great to see my car had Been vacuumed but I realized later they didn't get inside the car seats or in the pockets around them - eww! They did not bother to wipe off my dusty dashboard and I guess wiping down coffee holders and other plastic consoles (never mind the seats) was not included. At first I thought my hub caps looked shiny but when I got home and they had dried they were still quite grimy inside. Also, I don't think they cleaned the inside of my windshield. I have a love hate relationship with Car Spa. First, let's talk about their prices. For what they offer, they are completely reasonable as a "Quick, get your car clean" kinda place (i.e. the kind when you just sit in your car and hope that your irrational fear of a leaking sun roof doesn't come true). Compared to the other auto-washes (*Fifth Element Reference!*) this is the only one I go to that manages to get inside my wheel wells. Now on to their detailing. Still, fairly reasonable, I think you can get quite a bit done for like $60. Personally, stick to them doing the outside for detailing, I don't like some of the chemicals they use for the interior. Although I've heard them say they use Meguiars, I have my doubts! I get mine hand waxed twice a year and I've really never been let down. Now, as to why they don't get 4 stars. I *SWEAR* they use like some rag from the 1980's to clean my windshield interior EVERY time. I've not once not had a streaky mess of a windshield when I leave. So I go home, take out some Windex and a paper towel and just finish it off. It's VERY frustrating. Full marks for value here though, I think you're looking at one of the better auto-washes for the price. read more

I was very disappointed with my last wash from Holland Road Car Spa and will NEVER recommend them again. Went for a simple car wash and vacuum. Got my car back with dried bird poop still on the trunk and now new scratches across almost half my trunk lid. Took it back and was told that there is nothing in their tunnel to cause the scratches. I advised that the marks were not there prior to my leaving my car with them. They accepted NO responsibility whatsoever. There was no attempt or offer to buff out the marks. After a quick review search once I got back home, I find that this is nothing new to them. I found several negative reviews regarding scratches. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO EITHER. BTW...Several years ago they scratched the hell out of my father-in-law's brand new handicap van when THEY got it stuck in their tunnel. But it wasn't their fault then either. read more

I like car spa, I do. They do a good job most of the time. I like that they are straightforward and there is plenty of room to wait while they wash your car. It is easy to get exactly what you need here. It does stay pretty busy so bring your tablet. There has only been one time where I wasn't satisfied with my wash, but I am sure if I had spoken up they would have fixed it. That was my fault, not theirs. I still take my cars back there. It is funny to see the packages they offer me when I bring in my toyota vs when I bring in my porsche. I'm not sure if they get some kind of commission for up selling the higher packages, or if they just assume that that is what a Porsche owner would get. In response to someone who WASNT EVEN PRESENT at the time I was at the location during my complaint. Bruce. I specifically told your worthless manager Mike that there were previous scratches that I was NOT claiming. He insisted on taking a pictures for those NOT the ones that were new and did happen at your Virginia Beach location! I don't appreciate something I work hard for to be tarnished bc of your lack of concern for people's property. That is not how you should your run business.
